Hey Timo, It would be interesting if you can make a Talk Video about the (current) top ten Players in the world (according to the Ranking list). Talking about their specialites, play styles, special moments, your experiences in with them in games or off the table. You can also talk about already retired player like Ma Lin. It's cool to hear Pros talking about other pros. Especially in Table tennis. Best luck for Houston :)
It’s even good idea to have podcast with them to remember good, bad times after injuries or winning the titles, losing it and how they have gone through such tough times. Would’ve also been appreciated if it’s possible 🙌🏻🙏🏻
Hey Timo!! Yesterday I was present in the Tournaments of Barcelona. What a increíble reallys, in special two last. I really hope you win next year! Good luck!!!
Großartige Tipps. Der Ellenbogen ist bei so manchem Gegner die Achillesferse. Gut zu wissen, wie man mit solchen zentralen Bällen umgehen kann/soll. Danke Timo!
Thank you very much. Thank you for being authentic. Thank you for the effort and quality you put into these videos on top of your active career. It is highly appreciated.
I think it would be incredibly interesting to hear your equipment ideas for beginner-intermediate-pro players and the type of blade and rubber that would best suit different play styles at each level (of course with your sponsorship I expect it to be a butterfly equipment video😂)
Hi, Timo! Many thanks for what you do for us. It's amazing that you still play and have that joy to do that. And I want to thank you not just for the videos but for your personality and style of playing, too, always creative and inspiring for us. All the best, Timo!
So great! Thanks Timo for tips brilliant for all players beginner (like me) or much higher level (like my son). We all benefit from fundamentals, clearly explained from a master.
Yes, this is what I was thinking, too. I wonder if this might be one of those cases where what an amateur should pay attention to is very different to how a world class player thinks about the game. I have definitely always thought that the longer I can keep my grip loose during the point, the better this is for me.
@@timoboll8381 It's biomechanically impossible, with a loose grip, to transmit maximum acceleration through the forearm tendons to deliver that _snap_ for maximum spin (or maximum anything) when transferring high-mass/low velocity to low-mass/high velocity at the business-end: the racquet. If people are wondering how you are able to put so much spin on your loop, that's the reason right there: a tight grip, tensed tendons. I don't care who the coach is, Chinese, European, or your average Joe local club player; if they think anything is accomplished by looseness, relaxation, etc. then they must be interpreting Ma Long high-speed videos wrong. I'm picking ML, because it's hard to argue with maximum success. The man is a bundle of tension, except standing for service-return. Another reason for a tight grip is to compress the palmar tissues of the hand. Loose hands decouple...dampen... the transmission of energy to the racquet. Now, I'm going to walk that back just a bit: players are commonly told to loosen up on the backhand drive grip. A backhand has the wrist bent in, and this pulls on the hand- and finger- tendons on the back of the hand/wrist/forearm linkage. For this reason, they are advised to grip the blade between, and along the sides of, the thumb and forefinger: a sort of pinching grip. And the other three fingers only loosely gripping the handle. This pinch-tension comes from the muscle between the thumb and forefinger: the wrist and forearm tendons and muscles are not involved at all. Nevertheless, _a firm grip is still involved in this bh grip strategy_ .
@@timoboll8381 I 100% agree, Timo! I try to follow all your tips. But I love to play backhand shots🙂 especially with sudden direction change (like Pitch or FZD, only million levels below😂) And yes, backhand is an easy option because you don't have to do micro steps. But forehand is more effective.
There's an advantage to be had playing penhold. There is a clear choice of what stroke to use: the normal forehand sideof your paddle. There is no crossover point in the middle, but my backhand is weird with penhold, the rest is good though...🤨
Hi Timo, i have a question about the grip. I thought that you hold the bath /racket always loosely but now i hear you say : hold it tight? And the moment you hit the bal? Tight or loosely????
It‘s quite amazing that Timo‘s still playing great at 40 years old, I think he‘s ecen better now :)

Danke Timo. some of your tips like tight grip goes against my coaches advice but who can argue with world champion.
Think you!
Thanks Timo! This is helpful for amateur players like us too!
your amazing!
Timo, please make a video tutorial about your backhand!
Thank you Timo, these tips are valuable. It helps clarify ones thoughts about the game. Thank you
Great...Thanks alot Timo sir..Avinash from India
So useful Danke Timo💯
Hey Timo,
can you please elaborate about tightness of the grip? Every tutorial on youtube ephasize on holding the bat as loose as possible…
Not a big fan of a loose grip, especially when doing the movement
Yes, this is what I was thinking, too.

Instead of using a loose grip, tighten the grip, but relax between strokes. It can help improve playing with feeling.

THIS IS SOO UNDERRATED...
tysm for informations
I always thought that we lefties tend to play more backhand shots when balls go into the center of the body. Will try to focus more on forehand shots.
Backhand is the easy option, forehand the more effective

Hi Timo, will you please make a video on footwork drills for table tennis?

Hi Timo. I was wondering how do I buy/sign up for your web coaching, if I can nit speak German? I am in the US - English only. Thank you
