Never really knew about the speed run community or that it was a thing, but having watched this I can see the allure but hell yeah, you sir and the others featured are truly legends at this game well played.

Who knew that bosshardt was never motivated by doing speed runs. It was just a necessity to show off his gameplay, that's why as internet speeds went up his times relaxed.

No. Each run is based on the in-game timer. While the game is paused the in game timer is paused as well.
