Learning textures and dance terminology here as a beginner dancer boosted me ALOT. Learning choreography became easier because you could specify what type of movement you're gonna do, instead of just pure imitation of a movement. Thanks steezyy
Dear Steezy, I have been dancing for about a year now . I am constantly learning and adjusting but I can feel people get bored with me because I repeat my moved again and again , I am not I'm not actually just repeating my the same moves over and over again in the same dance but it's like I am every time I get up to dance I will do a move that I did the last time and again and again and I constantly feel more and more insecure about it and I don't know how to get myself you know being bring something new and original everytime I dance
how is going? got improvements? i have the same sometimes. I have already learned how to open my mind in a dance hall when we freestyle after the choreography but on parties i am still closed and i repeat one-five movements. as i understood about myself, i feel insecure at parties (i havent been to many tho due to lack of the good ones or if they are too far) so my frontal lobe cannot function properly and instead it goes cycling the recent moves that i know. so i have to learn how to relax at parties, how to feel more confident so then i can shift my focus to the music and the emotions it creates. ALSO "backstage" preparation plays a huge role. if you learn and practice different moves when you have a training, both ur mind and body will have vocabulary for using when you dance despite the level of your confidence & relaxation.
textures is something i dont think i do very well, i knew the overall concept but i never really honed in on that. I'll try it soon, thanks so much :-)
Why do i feel like this is funny youTube channel not a dance channel... I mean they just explain everything so smoothly and calmly. I like the way they teach.
Do some cardio exercises they said in other video that it helps to increase your stamina so you will have more energy to dance, watch their video about 5 workout that dancers should do
I just saw it's been 2 years... but I'll give some tips for someone who needs and scroll here. First of all, you need strength. You need to workout and build some muscles so your movements look more powerful and complete. Than, you'll need stretching and elasticity, so your movements look sharper and smooth (and also by stretching, you will be able to learn different styles and techniques, witch is also super important.)
How is a move supposed to feel in textures and how do u even observe textures in someones dance. Please steezy I love dancing and I want to grow, you people are my mentors, please help me understand or anyone who has understood help me understand.
Hi Steezy , I just want to say that I really enjoy your videos ☺️🙏. And also where can I watch the two dance choreos in this vid the ones that differ in textures
guys, is work out important to a beginner dancer? I never work out before, and I want to start to dance, and I don't know whether I have to get used to work out first, or not?
