Ouch, the unfortunate “not if, but when…” accident. The first X-ray with the arm more straight does show an undisplaced ulna fracture but easily overlooked. It can be difficult to obtain optimal imaging in the trauma setting. The bent elbow X-ray is good (initial X-ray) and shows an undisplaced radial head fracture. These injuries make rotation of the wrist difficult as the movement comes from the elbow joint. The 2nd X-rays are good quality and clearly show the fracture lines. Fingers crossed you can avoid surgery. Best wishes for a speedy recovery
@@anemlachhomebrewing3690 exactly that, not it but when…sounds similar to what they said about trauma setting etc. Fingers crossed I am in the clear tomorrow! Thank you 😄
Like you said, it will happen to us all and there are plenty of horror stories out there. I agree with you that your trip back to riding on the road is down to your attitude and you have the right one. Just manage that recovery well. All the best.
Just gonna put this out there that you've managed to get your hair perfectly combed for someone only just learning to use your non-dominant hand. Speedy recovery mate, hopefully not too long off the bike.
@@DoneAndDustedCycling hahaha been years and years of doing my hair, thankfully it’s natural straight and wasn’t too hard 😂 thank you Bryce, we can link for a ride when I’m back 🫶🏻
Hope you have swift recovery. When I fractured my elbow, after surgery was 2 weeks in a cast, then about 2 months to get strength back. Had "use" of my arm, but was at least a month before I'd consider putting weight on it. If you have thumb shifters for you di2, you should be able to configure it to be completely left handed during your recovery. Might make it less awkward for swift. Glad to see you in a good headspace, will make the recovery a lot quicker
@@Draenyr Good to hear that, I am conscious that mine will be similar. Recovery will be ongoing for a month or so I think too. Yeh I do have thumb shifters, which is actually already setup so that could help a lot. Thanks mate, trying to remain positive and just get through it 👍🏻

@@ItsMaxMann My right arm was like yours they were tossing up whether to operate and decided not to but went ahead on my left elbow. I can fully extend my left but I still can't on my right and I did heaps of rehab, it's only a small amount which I can't extend but you can really tell doing exercises like deadlifts, farmers carries, supported bicep curls, tricep extensions etc. This has also led to a slight muscular imbalance as you can't fully stretch the muscle while exercising so my right arm is slightly smaller to my left, not noticeable to the someone passing you in the street but looking in the mirror I can tell.
@@timwolf2215 mate! This has been an ongoing problem, it feels like my hand gets better then I do a long ride and it’s so bloody sore. Get heaps of pain in the bottom of my palm on the side the ulnar nerve runs along 🤣 I have no idea what to do just hoping it heals
@ cuppla really good vids on this issue on TH-cam. They all seem to say it requires specialist surgery. Also not sure if you’ve done it yet but a really good bike fit helps to ease pressure on hands. You will need to sacrifice a bit of aero tho. If Tadej does then it’s ok for us I reckon
