This is a completely optional recommendation but if you would like One Quick Beginner's Tip for demonstrating piano rolls with a nice sounding composition, I recommend the easiest musical scale that any beginner can play: A minor pentatonic. Just use A, C, D, E, and G. Five white piano keys (skip the B and F keys, don't use them), nice and minimalist and good-sounding. As for instrument, Piano is a perfect choice. if you must pick a synth, choose one that's like a piano: Brief noise, not too high or low a pitch (so C4 for example is good), quickly fades out.
@@NitroNovaMusic Very true! A lot of good songs are made with that scale. I’m quite happy to see a positive review as well as all these positive comments. I started causally recording music (myself and friends bands) in 2011 in high school. I was a total novice and can’t seem to remember how I landed on Mixcraft but it was the first DAW I used and what I learned on. As I got more experience and became more proficient at audio production I realized there were lots of more “legitimate” and popular DAWs out there and I experimented with a few of them. They all seemed overly complicated and not much more capable than Mixcraft so I just stuck with it. The past couple years I’ve done tens of hours of live recordings with my band, often recording up to 10 mic and DI channels at a time and then mixed those recordings using both the included and some additional effects plugins with great results. A few people I’ve played the finished recordings for couldn’t believe they weren’t professional recordings. I think that’s good enough for me. Recently I’ve thought about trying out another DAW but I really don’t see any reason now especially since I have 10+ years of experience with Mixcraft.

Most DAW:s can handle video. I find it funny that they bundled in the old Kjaerhus Audio plugins. :D That said it looks like a good bundle for folks starting out without much hassle.
Many DAWs hanndle synced video playback but most don't handle video editing. I think the selling point is that you learn the workflow for audio and use the same for video.
@ReVisualizer @@gamefromscratch Ah, I suppose you are right. A quick scan of the Mixcraft manual tells me that it handles things similarly to Reaper, so there's one.
Well I've tied most f them and when I found Mixcraft it was glory halleluiah, most are far too complex with over productive tools ...you cant polish a turd however much autotune you use....Yes it is the Musicians DAW.
I’d like to Cast you as The Fast Talking Salesman in an Independent Feature Film that is currently in Preproduction. Let me know if you’re interested in the role. Thanks.
how come you dont have in mixcraft a simple thing like.. Mixdown to new Wave.. when you select a section of tracks and press right click .. there is no such option.. So basic!
Logic, Cubase and Protools are what the professionals and studios use, if you're a student you should learn one of those, and certainly if you're a professional. Also video integration isn't special, they all do. If you want to fool around or do simple things this would be fine.
Logic, Cubase, Pro Tools and even Reaper are the standards for mixing, mastering and handling audio but if you need complex MIDI sequencing you may want to look elsewhere. Live and FL are almost always used in conjunction with one of the aforementioned DAWS, I personally rewire Live and use it to sequence my MIDI tracks in other DAWs.
@@abalaster9085 As I have few actual instruments on hand, MIDI is the only things I can work with. Have a decent electronic keyboard, and thinking about a deluxe otamatone in the future.
@@abalaster9085 FWIW all of the above can certainly handle as much MIDI as you care to throw at it. I do orchestral mock ups (and final production ready stems) in Logic, all the tracks are MIDI with virtual insts, plus automation and plenty of expression CC's. No problem, and Logic at least is mostly the standard for Film composers who do the same. Logic is just more composer friendly then say Pro Tools which is the standard for final pipeline
Man, your tone deaf is a bit worst then your last time you showcased an audio making/ editing software. May i suggest you get some music lessons, or find a limit to your tone deaf. My limit to my tone deaf (as commented from the last time) is being able to singing, and being able to put some music audio samples together.
I did not even make it that far into the video, I had already had enough of the rapid fire machine gun delivery of his script. No chance of following what he was saying without heart palpitations or a headache.
You can't compare a small company like Acustica with Apple. It doesn't make any sense. I can say that Studio One is much better, faster and efficient that Logic Pro. My opinion of course.
Don't buy it, they have blocked my registration after several reinstallations on the same computer following various Windows software problems. I have sent several messages to their support without any reply, as a result I can only use it in demo mode.

13k free loops? I upgraded to pro 9, I only have 7958 loops?
the loops comes with the current humble bundle deal
Robert Seidel what do you mean? That is all I have until I upgrade again? I am sorry but I am not understanding it
@@bernsteiner88 the humble bundle deal contains the 13k loops and mixcraft 9, if you get the highest tier - www.humblebundle.com/software/mega-sound-designer-loop-crate-software?hmb_source=humble_home&hmb_medium=product_tile&hmb_campaign=mosaic_section_2_layout_index_1_layout_type_threes_tile_index_3_c_megasounddesignerloopcrate_softwarebundle
You should have gotten from humblebundle instead. Only $30. Not pro but still includes free plugins. You can get free loops at looperman anyway.
Is it free to download?
You're free to try. If you like it, buy it.
7:18 goes hard
Can you talk about FL studio?
Most DAW:s can handle video.
I find it funny that they bundled in the old Kjaerhus Audio plugins. :D
That said it looks like a good bundle for folks starting out without much hassle.
Many DAWs hanndle synced video playback but most don't handle video editing. I think the selling point is that you learn the workflow for audio and use the same for video.
Yeah, I rarely if ever see video editing in other DAWs as you said.
@ReVisualizer @@gamefromscratch
Ah, I suppose you are right.
A quick scan of the Mixcraft manual tells me that it handles things similarly to Reaper, so there's one.
Not sure why people think Reaper is so great other than not paying for it.
..RPM?
Well I've tied most f them and when I found Mixcraft it was glory halleluiah, most are far too complex with over productive tools ...you cant polish a turd however much autotune you use....Yes it is the Musicians DAW.
Ableton Live review?
Go search for Ableton Live review this is not the place
Mixcraft 10.5 is definitely better, it's more stable & has stem separation. I just bought it, incredible.
Great program, but I do prefer Propellerhead Reason
You forgot to mention the Name of the Giant who started all this way back! Steinberg and CUBASE. The Big daddy of all DAWs.
So basic!
You can do that in Mixcraft.
Mike, i love your channel, but for the heavens and everything .. Learn just a little bit of music, just a tiny amount.. please
It is not a "daaaah".. It is a "dee ayy double-u"
@@abalaster9085
As I have few actual instruments on hand, MIDI is the only things I can work with.
@@DanMcLaughlin Yeah, I've heard Logic is really not shabby when it comes to sequencing either.
Protools is trash.
gameguru is free on steam guys, just letting u people know
Looks like Acid Pro.
So where are all my purchases of 8 and 9 pro ? You've changed your website and I've not got any codes so I'm guessing yet another rip off company
🤣 @9:05
Man, your tone deaf is a bit worst then your last time you showcased an audio making/ editing software. May i suggest you get some music lessons, or find a limit to your tone deaf. My limit to my tone deaf (as commented from the last time) is being able to singing, and being able to put some music audio samples together.
I did not even make it that far into the video, I had already had enough of the rapid fire machine gun delivery of his script. No chance of following what he was saying without heart palpitations or a headache.
It's good,,. but no where near Logic Pro X!! Just my opinion..,,
You can't compare a small company like Acustica with Apple.
Did you mail Greg? They usually reply in one day. You can leave a post in their forum. It easy to resolve your situation if you did things well.
There's WAY more video options available in Mixcraft that you didn't show. Mixcraft is so underrated.
People think Mixcraft is GarageBand and not as powerful as other daws. They are wrong. I have, and use, several daws but Mixcraft is my #1 daw. It's so user-friendly and just FUN. I love making videos with it too.
