I’m just beginning to learn and become interested in pedals , since I’m basically a novice on electric guitar , this was a very helpful video … Thanks Mark 💯💯
Very cool Mark. I'll look at one. I started using the effects loop...very impressive. I put 4 minipedals on a short board and keep it on top of my amp. I have a bunch of amps but we mic everything so I usually use a DSL 20 on gigs (low power is plenty). I use the effects loop for delay, reverb, phaser and chorus. I LOVE the tones going that way! Then on my floor board I have a BBC optimizer, EQ, OCD clone, mini wah, tuner, boost for lead and amp foot pedal (channels). TONS of tones and take up very little real estate. I've tried multi effects and my biggest problem with them is when you change setups the volume changes and it is a royal pain to set the thing up. I've tried them all and always end up going back to separate pedals. One good things is the minis. They are as good as the full size and half or less the money. I like Mooer so far the best. Yes...I'm a gear head.....slut....I also have 26 guitars....all black...hehe By the way...I have a GTRS from Mooer...it works great if you have a small stage and no room for anything! Had to paint it black though....hehe
Looks good - like you I use very few pedals (tuner and a wah) but I’d like to add more to my gigging rig. The size, carry case and built in power supply are a big plus but the obvious downside for me is the Velcro which I really dislike.
You don't need any pedals Mark...lol. You're a killer guitar player and teacher. Be well my friend. ( I have a small rechargeable board just like this one.🙃)
I think I see what I’ve done wrong: you have your last pedal plugged into the boards ‘in’ and the ‘out’ the amp, whereas I haven’t used those ports on the back of the board- I’m just running the last effect directly in the return port on my amp. Could that be why I have no sound? Maybe those ports on back of the board boost the signal?
Hi David. I suggest to start troubleshooting by not using your GK Effects Loop circuit, which complicates the potential issues. The simplest signal chain is: Amp --> Output --> Input --> Pedal 1 --> Pedal 2 --> ... ---> Pedal 5 --> Guitar. Then just make sure the power supply is plugged in and each of the pedals are getting juice. Make sure that works first. My unit only has 3 ports on the back: Input, Output, Power. Once you've established that works, then consult the GK 250 manual to see how the effects loop works for the amp.
Hey Mark, thanks for this! I just got one and I’m having trouble- first, the inexpensive Flamma pedals didn’t work with the onboard power source ( they did work with a dedicated source- I sent them back ) then, I had to shift pedals around in order to get them to light up- I still can’t understand that quirk! Now I’ve got them all lit and powered- but now I have no sound. Plus, I’m trying to use the effects loop on my little GK 250 ML. I’ve been scouring TH-cam to see different arrangements using effects loop. I’m about ready to send it back! Do you have any ideas why I have no sound ( admittedly, I did get cheap connectors for between pedals- perhaps that’s the problem). Can you recommend any fix? I’ve learned some good stuff from your channel, and thanks!!!!
Thanks David. I can't say anything about your effects loop, but the board is straightforward. The signal chain is: Amp --> Output --> Input --> Pedal 1 --> Pedal 2 --> ... ---> Pedal 5 --> Guitar. Then just make sure the power supply is plugged in and each of the pedals are getting juice. Try it without the effects loop first, just so that you don't have that to complicate the potential issues. Good luck.
I think Flammas all use 300mA as they are power hungry digital pedals. These ports probably only do 100mA, tops, which is usually more than enough for analog pedals.
I think so. I can't remember - this video was made so long ago. I only use mini pedals with it, so I haven't checked in ages. If I had a 12V pedal handy, I'd check right now, but alas, I don't.
It's not obvious unless you add the item to your cart. Here's what I've added to the description. Start? Not sure what the question really is. You plug the pedalboard into an electric socket if that's what you're asking. You connect a pedal to the pedalboard with a patch cord (as one would normally do). It's just a pedalboard that doesn't need an external power supply.
@@MarkZabelthanks mark sorry for the confusion. Once the pedal board is plugged in , I'm trying to figure out how the first pedal is powered up to start the chain.
MARK, which pedalboards use a Rechargeable battery instead of using power supply they have pedalboards that have a built in rechargeable battery to play outside gigs. look into it and make a video lesson

Glad it was helpful Ronnie!
Got this board for Christmas and I wasn't sure which cables went where :) Thanks so much for the demo! This was incredibly helpful
Glad to help!
Thumbs up 👍 on the review Mark! Great set up! 🦋🖤🦋
Awesome thank you!

You don't have to put on the Velcro. It comes on separate strips you can apply, which I did.
Very nifty board, I want one! I wonder if they make a slightly bigger one?
They do. Not sure if it's available at the moment. The link shows it though, so you might want to have a look.

LOL! Thanks!
That's a lovely little board, Mark. Do Vangoa do a larger size one, by any chance?
I think they might. They have a store on Amazon you can check out.
Timing was amazing!

I have pedals that require 9v and 12v; will this board work with them?
I think so. I can't remember - this video was made so long ago. I only use mini pedals with it, so I haven't checked in ages. If I had a 12V pedal handy, I'd check right now, but alas, I don't.
I really don’t understand the coupon part. Is it from Amazon or the company itself, also what do you mean by clipping the coupon? Thanks

How does it go from the board to the pedal to start the power ?
