I made a topper with thin foam from the market. Made so comfortable and alot warmer. Xx
We ditched the mattress in our 2019 Swift as it was so thin and uncomfortable, bought a 1000 pocket sprung mattress from Jonic, so much better.

Nice 1 Graham, think we're gonna wait till we get our swift 🤞 in March hopefully before we decide. Glad to know they do custom fit sheets as well . You look good with the glasses and without them to. I guess it's more of you getting used to not wearing them that's the hard part. 👍 Stickers should be here by tomorrow 😁 hopefully!!

I've just got rid of the Duvalay mattress that came with my new 2020 Swift Challenger 580 after two years of discomfort and purchased one from Custom Sized Beds which actually provides support. The Duvalay mattress was the least supporting mattress I've ever had in over 30 years of caravaning but I should state that all my previous caravans before the Swift were Hymer Eriba.

We have the toppers on our bed we have to make up every night. Makes a massive difference compared to sleeping on the back of the sofa cushions. We have the kids topper/bags for their beds too.
Expensive but excellent quality.
Thanks for watching. TBH I don't think they are that expensive. Have a look at Dunelm, the memory foam one's are £170 - £190 and they're not caravan bed shaped. Sorry for sounding like a Duvalay salesperson lol...

I've been looking for toast toppers for ages ! Used to have them as a kid. Great vlog keep up the good work. Noticed you wearing the glasses is that with or without the lense couldn't tell.
Thanks for watching. Well, it's more complicated than that. They are my old glasses, they work better with my new eye. With lenses in.. I don't really need them in that situation, but think I look a bit dumb on camera with them off :-)

Never knew they did toppers too…custom made, Brilliant! We shall have to remember this. I have a topper in “Katie”as I find the mattress too hard for me. How many times did you say mattress topper and occasionally “Toast topper” in this video?? You need to count it…. I’m going for 103 times 🤣🤣🤣

Could you do a video about fuelling your car with a caravan attached? I have a long journey coming up, and I am rather apprehensive about filling up with the caravan on the back of the car.
I usually fill up before I go. Otherwise I just find the biggest petrol station I can and take it easy…
@@CaravanVlogger Do you fill up on the services then if you are getting low then? I was thinking today that in theory, I shouldn't have to fill up given the time I will likely be travelling. But I am still not 100% sure of my range when towing - though I am only pulling a Swift Basecamp with a 1.5 ford focus diesel estate with a 47 litre tank.
I tried to fill up when not towing, but do use service stations, it’s not a problem. You’ll be fine with your base camp, just take it slow and check your wing mirrors 👍🏻

our duvelay mattress is awfull. swift should be ashamed at using such rubbish. its not good if you have to buy a topper to make it comfotable.should be ok without the extra cost of a topper.
Thanks for watching. On our 2021 swift, we wouldn’t need the topper, it was comfortable enough without. Mattresses are a tricky one aren’t they, difficult to make one that suits everybody 🤷♂️
@@CaravanVlogger worked in the caravan furnishings industry for many years that supplied beds for most caravan manufacturers ..beleive me this is not a good mattress.i agree its all down to personal comfort taste.How about doing a poll to see what percentage think duvelay are any good.i would suggest anthing near 50% think there bad should make swift or duvelay think again
