My friend was a ghost one year we cut a hole out of the top of the sheet and spent hours spray painting her hair white and coming up with ways to have it stand up straight definitely not the lazy way out lol
my country (portugal) doesnt celebrate halloween, some people get dress, but its not a random costume like in usa, it has to be scary because we have carnival when we can dress randomly. we dont really care about halloween
Fuck. Every time someone says they're from the early nineties, I get so confused because I keep thinking "They're younger than I thought. They're like 22." And then I realize that I'm just getting older and am not 18 anymore... How the hell did I become an adult? Anyway, freaking love throwback!
My best costume that I ever had was when I was around 6 years old. I wanted to be Snow White so my grandma bought all the fabric she needed from Wal-Mart and she made my costume by hand and it was legit.

I was Clown(from SLIPKNOT) for Halloween way back in the 7th grade...the Nuns at my school were none too thrilled with my costume,haha!!
At 12:56 that was my costume a year or two ago. I have bad memory...
My three favorite costumes were, in order from least to most:
1. When I dressed up as a toy that escaped the claw machine. Complete with claw attachment. It was a pink gorilla costume, a soccer jersey, and a rotisserie fork with tubing attached. Loved it.
2. Roy from Sigfried and Roy *after* he was mauled by the tiger.
3. Snape dressed as Neville's grandmother from Prisoner of Azkaban. I even made the vulture hat. (found a fox stole at the second hand store too.)

my ghost costume was pretty good cause . i had a white dress with black lace on the front , black studded boots,a thorn halo tiara, studded wrist bands,and finally i had stitches on my cheeks with eyeliner

My mom dressed me up as Toto and she went as Dorothy for my first three Halloweens. I saw the pictures and we looked amazing. I don't remember much after that, but from ages 12 to 16, I dressed up as a Skeleton because I was too lazy to buy something new. And then I was too embarrassed to Trick or Treat after age 16.
When I was 8 myself and my little brother(3) were ghosts. That was the laziest costume ever; we wore oversized white shirts and white dish rags wrapped as a hood around our hair and our mom painted our face white and big black circles around our eyes.
There was a kid in my neighborhood who didn't even wear a costume. He just carried around a foam minecraft sword and went around gathering his candy.

I was a ladybug for like 4 years (5-8) because every time Halloween would come around my mom would have me try on the costume and she said that for some reason my body just instantly got smaller and it would fit again. So I was a ladybug until I finally started to get taller and out grew it. Then the next year I was Pebbles from the Flintstones.
when i was 5, i went to south africa over halloween. i was crying because i wanted to trick-or-treat, so my parents called the people we were staying with and asked if they could put candy outside of their houses. they ended up calling all of the kids in a 2 mile radius and we all went trick-or-treating
I always made my own Halloween costumes. One year I made a zombie hula girl costume, I was really cool when I was 11
OMG. I had the EXACT same costume that the girl on the left had in the picture at 2:30. The purple dress and circle hat thing! OMG😂 Slightly creepy but exciting!!!
One time I was a ceiling fan; I was in a cheerleader outfit and carrying a sign that said "GO CEILING"!

I was a genie 4 years in a row. I was a yeti a few years ago so the faux fur would keep me warm.
When he mentioned Twilight.... I laughed so much I choked.
I was NEVER into Halloween, but my mom was. She dressed me up as a mouse, Queen of Hearts, a fairy, a princess... and we never lived in a place long enough so I just recycled those costumes lol. They were very elaborate.

I had a Toto dog growing up, so we went as Dorothy and Toto probably like 5 years in a row
My favorite costume of mine was the year after I moved out of my parent's house I was Bloody Mary for a Halloween party. I went all out. I had a torn up black prom dress, I covered myself in fake blood, I wore a stringy dirty looking black wig, and I even carried around small handle mirror that had Bloody Mary written on it. I actually ended up winning Most Scary during the costume contest. The past few years I have been a cat every year because I can literally go in my closet and come out wearing nearly everything I need for it.
I've been a crayon, a dog, a jack-o-lantern, a M&M (I sure do miss my Mama . . .she made all those costumes). I've been a clown, Kagome from Inu Yasha (a friend was REALLY into anime and she helped me make the costume), a pinball machine
I remember when I was little I borrowed a Superman costume from somebody. And it couldn't fit me, so the end of my legs and arms were sticking out.
I love how he said he dressed up like Neo from the Matrix and went into BLockbuster. Those were the good ol days

i was a shadow but before the suits were popular so i had black extensions on my shoes to make my figure seem elongated and dressed in all black

My first Halloween costume was a hand-me-down from my brother and I would be a witch almost every year and one year I wanted to be green so my dad took some clown makeup and made me green. Now I'm being Freddy Krueger and my dad and I are building the peices with latex and cotton balls and gluing it on my face with nose glue and then paint it with clown makeup. PS my parents where professionel clowns.
I remember I was soo emo and I wore a band tee,jeans, doc martins,and all black make-up, and a witches hat and I was a rocker witch
I always overthink my costume and then basically get too distracted from getting my costume because I was admiring the idea of it so much haha
This wasn't for Halloween, but in 2nd grade, I insisted that I wear a full on wetsuit to school for an entire week. A couple weeks later I did the same thing with Elvis
one yr in high school i wore a plaid skirt bc i didn't have a costume and everyone thought i was britney so i went with it and skipped gym with the other ppl in costumes.
When I was little we din't have halloween in Poland yet but we did have costume parties in kindergarten and just like Lily, I was always dressed as something boyish, all girls-princesses, me? A rooster. Once I was dressed as Geisha. I guess my mom didn't know who Geisha is. But I was running around saying I'm geisha and my teacher was in deep shock xD

All this ghost costume shaming wants me to dress up this year as a ghost ( but a well elaborated costume, like with chains and some black goop dripping from the mouth and stuff )
This year I was Female Ciel from Black Butler I had a long wig and a white shirt black booty shorts I also made a cane and cape (also rings)

OK, not even kidding I have been every Disney princess. It was. kind of an issue.
I didn't really celebrate Halloween past the age of six, but when I got to college I dressed up on Halloween with friends just because it was fun:
2009 - Demi Lovato (I dyed my hair a brown-black and my best friend Sarah was Taylor Swift).
2010 - David Beckham (complete with a knock-off LA Galaxy jersey).
2011 - violet Crayola crayon (but not a sexy one - This was a last minute-I have nothing to wear- Kmart purchase...haha).
2012 - Katniss Everdeen (with a real bow my friend uses for target-shooting).
2013 - Minion (I made the big eyes with a Sharpie and chemistry goggles)/Wednesday Addams.
2014 - Yzma from "Emperor's New Groove" (Wrong lever!!!).
2015 - Beacon Hills lacrosse player (Yes, I like Teen Wolf).
and this year....
2016 - I will be Luke Danes from "Gilmore Girls."
So my brother is really tall and he was a shadow once too!!

my mom dressed my little brother as trash cuz he was little and didnt know, so all she did was get a trash bag and put holes for the legs and arms and filled it with newspaper and tied it around his neck, and put smudges on his face

I don't know anyone who dresses/dressed up as ghost for Halloween. But then yet again I do live in England so we know how lazy that is. And I don't think if ever seen anyone go as a ghost for Halloween.
