Damn that skin tone is excellent mate. Also really love the black leather. The NMM feels like it’s a lot of work but definitely achievable with the technique you used. Great tutorial mate. Really enjoyed watching it!
Nice one mate! The metal troll body is so crisp compared to the plastic. I'm looking forward to grabbing a few tips from this for my two plastic trolls
Yeah I've never really liked the plastic kits pose as much, the metal has that heft to it too. Makes it feel more significant when you move them around the battlefield! Its a shame they don't sell them any more.
Your troll is an awesome centerpiece for your Isengard army. As I said on Insta, I like to see your army growing. There are some nice ideas for creating the nmm. I like heavily watered down skrag brown for rust a bit more than mornfang brown. In the end I'm very happy you created very good content again 👌
@@dicedrinksanddadjokes also excited after hearing you, Alex, and Jmacc are going to do a podcast together. Are you on as a guest or regular host? You guys are my 3 favorite channels.
@yesmilord2350 awww thanks man! I’ll be on from time to time as a guest on the podcast. Was a lot of fun so looking forward to the next one. Will sort a better mic for then 😆
Thanks! Ummm good question! I think it took me 4 nights after work including basing & making the arrows etc. The painting was pretty much done in two nights I think.
Solid looking Troll chap. Love the idea of going with an Uruk flesh to match the forces of Isengard!
Thanks for watching mate! I agonised over the flesh for a while but am pretty chuffed with how it turned out 😁
Amazing result. The fact you got a tutorial of this quality down to 14 minutes is quite incredible.
Thanks Alex, I really need to work on fixing the auto focus. It’s so annoying! 😅
@@dicedrinksanddadjokes Bane of my life
@@JMACCSArmiesOfMiddleEarth Never mind Isildur's bane and Durin's bane. J Macc's bane, the dreaded autofocus!
That is a stunning looking troll! The blends on his skin is incredible! 🤩
Thanks man!
Amazing video. It is super helpful. Already painted two Isengard trolls this way, with 4 more to come. Keep up the good work.
Thanks mate glad you found it useful 😊
That's incredible. I'm painting the three Hobbit trolls right now and having some difficulty getting the effects I want -- this gives me some ideas.
Thanks for the kind words Glenn! Those Hobbit trolls have a LOT of flesh to paint! 😅 Hopefully this helps a bit 😬
My god that is a gorgeous Troll, has really convinced me to get a wet pallet
Thanks so much! Yeah man, wet palette's are amazing, definitely improved my mini painting 😊

Thanks for watching Anthony, I certainly intend to!
Awesome mate nice weathering skills, i have to improve mine
Thanks! Just takes a bit of patience haha 😅
Great video! You inspired me to repaint my Isengaurd troll!
That's awesome! Good luck with the paint job!
Wow that's a clean paintjob. Great work!
Thank you! Cheers!
Dayum man I need to learn how to do skin like that. Next level!
It takes more than a base, layer and wash I can tell you that much! A whole lot of patience and persistence haha
@@dicedrinksanddadjokes defos worth the effort likes
@@JMACCSArmiesOfMiddleEarth thanks mate! 😁
Epic work mate! I'm 100% copying this when I get around to painting mine
Haha thanks Andy!
Love it mate! The shield is so cool with the paint streaks on the hand, nice touch! And the little gore details on the troll too. Nicely done ;)
Thanks so much mate! I really appreciate that 😊
Incredible job, mate. Loved seeing this come together.
Thanks man! Appreciate the kind words 😁
this is your best painting tutorial by far!! Extremely well done!!
Wow, thank you mate! Very kind 😊
