- It's getting near Christmas and we all need a little something to share with friends and family. I definitely tasted this batch and fell madly in love with this simple recipe. Chocolate heaven!

My grandpa is in the hospital since yesterday and today I made him oat-raisin-choc cookies! He loved it, it was the first thing he ate after a small heart surgery today and he enjoyed it so much

Also a tip for the backing paper to stick to the pan: put some oil on the pan and it will literally stick haha! Works with melted chocolate as well

That's so sweet of you to say, Patrick. I sometimes think I will never be the same after surgery. But, the residual negative effects of surgery are far outweighed by the benefits of being able to walk without pain. Excruciating pain versus discomfort is vastly different. And some of those residual effects and discomfort I expect will lessen with time. 🙏🏻

I've been patiently waiting for this video's turn on my list, and now here is finally my chance! This is actually my first time seeing an actual fudge cooking, i didn't even know half of the ingredients here are in a fudge at all! (I used to think that its just melted chocolate with condensed milk for some reason). Safe to say that i really enjoyed the video

I'm so glad you enjoyed this video, Ivah. I loved making it. You know what? I think this is just one of the simpler ways to make fudge. There are some far more complicated and "state of art" ways of making it. And I'm sure the taste is far superior.

Love it 🤍 I have hack for you, If you want to stick the butter paper in the baking tray quickly, you have to put a swab of butter on the baking tray. The paper will stick quickly and won't move🤍

Lovely video once again Rebecca - with the baking paper to make it fit, what I do first is spray lightly with cooking oil. Then get the baking paper and snip each side with scissors so it fits if that makes sense? Plus if there’s the cooking oil/spray the baking paper slides straight in and out

A fun parchment paper trick I just learned is if you crumple it up before putting it in a pan it will fit more easily. 😊

It's so good! This recipe comes from a magazine in the 1980s. That's what I'm using. So, probably fudge isn't done much like this anymore. 💁🏻♀️

if you cut the extra wax paper at a 90° angle at the corners it won’t have the bulk that makes it pop up!!

You know just for future reference with foil or with parchment paper so in order for it to fit in your container properly instead of trying to do it inside do the outside of the pen wrap the outside of the pan with the parchment paper or foil and then take that showing off and you can reverse flip it into the pan or cooking sheet or whatever you're using makes it a lot easier. Just from one cook to another

Cooking for me is all about the art in the fun of doing it. I enjoy your videos and I've actually I think I've tried one of the recipes of something that you did one time. I mean I'm going to school to become a chef but I enjoyed I love it I'm like oh I'm like, for me you do very like nostalgic I want to say they're nostalgic recipes from like the 80s and 70s. Like fudge nowadays I don't think I've ever seen fudge like that with the candied cherries the green and the red. None the less I love 💕 your channel and content. ❤❤❤

You can smear a little butter on the wrong side of the wax paper and it will stick. Or, trace on the bottom of the dish you are trying to line and cut. Looks yummy!
I wonder why they even want any lining on the pan. It's a kind of nonstick sort of dessert. Isn't it? Why couldn't I just coat the pan with butter and not have any paper? if I'm going to put butter on it then it's already dirty. So why add paper? I don't know.
