L'irrigazione è fondamentale in molteplici coltivazioni attuate sul territorio italiano, patria del sole estivo e delle alte temperature a differenza di molti paesi europei che non hanno questa grossa esigenza per impianti come, ad esempio, mais e soia. Casella Macchine Agricole è un'azienda leader nella produzione di impianti per l'irrigazione, oltre che una delle più solide concessionarie d'Italia per l'acquisto di macchine agricole, vende infatti marchi come Fendt, Massey Ferguson, Merlo, Lemken. La sezione dell'azienda che si occupa di impianti per l'irrigazione produce da cima a fondo tutte le macchine a catalogo, gran parte della componentistica che le compone oltre che assemblaggio, vendita e post vendita.
Alcune aziende si appoggiano a Casella per coprire diversi ettari con l'irrigazione a pioggia, acquistando anche più macchine per lavorare in contemporanea diversi appezzamenti. Al lavoro 3 irrigatori in un appezzamento di mais di secondo raccolto. Le macchine impiegate appartengono tutte alla serie PLMP, con 2 ruote e gruppi motopompa fino a 250 Cv. Questa serie di macchine è particolarmente adatta per lavorare aspirando direttamente da canali irrigui tramite braccio semovente con un raggio max di 6 m; o da tubazioni sotterranee in bassa pressione. I modelli al lavoro sono gli Hydromec nelle versioni 150/500, valori che indicano rispettivamente il diametro del tubo d'irrigazione in millimetri e la sua lunghezza disponibile in metri.
