Christianity isn't even necessary to show how postmodernism is fundamentally flawed, denying objective truths or fundamental logic means you can just say or do anything without it being false. Or that reality itself cant even exist.
Why single out Postmodernism. Isn't all philosophy a waste of time as Karl Popper would say? A form of pseudo knowledge which is more of a recreational pursuit rather than contributing anything to the world. Should we not see it as something like the World of Warcraft ? Interesting to devottes but that it it
@@tomfrombrunswick7571 hello there, thanks for the comment! I would say not really, because not all philosophical positions and arguments are inherently or practically self-defeating. On top of that, every human being tries to make sense of the world they live in and experiences they go through (worldview), making assumptions and arguments. And everyone thinks they are right (otherwise they would have a different worldview). And arguing that "all philosophy is a waste of time", is itself a philosophical position, which would mean that saying that philosophy is a waste of time, is itself a waste of time. Exactly as arguing that "philosophy is a form of pseudo knowledge", making the very argument also a form of pseudo knowledge, undermining its own knowledge claim. Also remember that every worldview is ultimately circular, sooner or later there are "absolutes" which cannot be "proven" or "reasoned". The question then becomes, which is the worldview that has the best justifications and assumptions for their claims and arguments? I think Christianity does it best, as it best explains and accounts for the reality in which we live in! God bless
@@matswessling6600 could you please provide evidence and good reasons to demonstrate how exactly Christianity is "iron age myths", and why my philosophical understanding and arguments are wrong? Or did you only want to share with us your PhD in "just repeating unsubstantiated claims I found on internet to troll christians"?
@@alexshatterstar89 1) a lot of whats told on new testament is obviously false (census didnt require you to gobto your fathers house, Herodes never killed all firstborn etc, romans didnt execute people on behalf of the jews etc) 2) lot of gospels is just there to seem like it fullfills some more or less imagined "prophecy" in old testament. christianity was a jewish myth that existed before jesus and was attached to him. the messias myth was old and was ripened with romans in jerusalem. 3) there are no good evidence of any god or miracles.
love your vids! keep doing what you do.
