I go to sleep and see the same direct passing sequences and step over accelerations in my dreams. The only reason I still play is nostalgia and because I love fifa. So sad
What i hate about this game is that you have no time to think and actually build up, if you dont blindly pass the ball a 90 pace midfielder or attacker will tackle you.
TBF plenty of people were complaining about finese shots and trivelas because no one wants to conceed from the halfway line 6 times a match. The problem also isnt that they have tried to make the game more realistic, its that the game wasnt originally designed to be realistic, so its impossible to defend cut back goals because your defenders just run out of the way and dont mark anyone.

I stopped playing FIFA like 3 years ago…prior to stopping, I played every single day of my life for 10+ years. I just got so tired of the game play constantly being changed up like Skillz is saying. I use to be obsessed with skill moves and going on insane skill runs…once they made combining skill moves slow and sluggish, I dipped from FIFA. I miss playing, but doesn’t sound like I’m missing much.

I agree 99% i think trivella did need to get nerfed but the Defensive AI is lowering the skillgap heavy and these extra animations are sooo trash the crazy part is fifa since its beginning has always been Arcady and fast paced so im not sure why they are trying to make it realistic

I hopped on today saved about 100 packs over these last few months of playing on and off. Not only did I not get shit, I can’t even win a game anymore because it’s a damn sweat fest, a lot of the times it’s not even my fault my opponent scores off my interception or something dumb. I’m really quite done with this game, and everything you said rings true.
The bigger problem is inconsistent and slow gameplay. In terms of realism I think at least basic laws of physics should be the primary concern. They just add gimmicks without regard to the basics.
Last year FIFA shorts used to get atleast 2-3k likes and even more views(10k-20k views) this year, big content creators are struggling to break 1k likes

I never understand why we have so many footballers in real life yet get the same players in almost every promo. Everyone has the same teams and there is no variety. The gameplay is so unplayable. The whole concept of play styles in itself is a stupid concept because why do I need a play style to do something my player should already be able to do. The game is so sweaty and there is no mode where you can chill and play casually.

I feel you bro. I play fifa since ps1 1996.This year is actually the first fifa - sorry eafc - that I had to uninstall (3 weeks ago). The level of frustration while playing this game is too much for me bro. Playing games frustrates me. The meta - and sorry - the playstyle of some people in this community frustrates me. So after a few games and mostly horrible experience I start to grind the menus. But doing sbcs and trying to use my dupes as effectively as possible frustrates me again. Opening packs also frustrates me because the pack weight is horrible (outside the store). On the other side it brings me into the situation that I have to do sbcs again - if I don't want to discard my untradeable 83s or 84s or whatever. So after a few packs I stand there with my dupes and think: that's boring - let's play a match. So I go into rivals and get frustration again. It's so poor because I really want to play this game - but I cannot do it anymore. No - I must not play it anymore because I can feel, that it is absolutely not good for me and my mental health. It's just sad... Thank you for your content bro.

I decided to quit about 1 month ago for the same reason, gameplay is ridiculous and on top of that they release promos every weekend. A month after I decided to quit won’t denied that the first days were hard cuz I need it the every day hype of fifa it’s like an addiction I’m a father of 3. I use the time that I used to waste in my kids and it feels so good. I only play Pro Clubs with my friends now and I don’t feel the need of going back to that addiction of UT. This game has been a button masher’s wet dream since FIFA 13. I don’t know how I keep getting sucked into buying this abomination of a product year after year. Albeit I’ve only been buying it when it goes on huge sales in the past 5 years - like over 50% off - not because I can’t afford it but because it’s my principal not to support 💩 in general. I have so many saved videos of not only my opponents but also myself scoring absolutely MINDLESS GOALS. Like I’m talking get tackled, have the ball go back to an attacking teammate, have that guy take an ill advised shot that gets blocked… only to have it bounce directly onto the feet of yet another teammate - shoot on a wide open net and score. This stuff happened once in a while back in the heydays of like the mid 00s FIFA titles all the way up to FIFA 12. Yes it happened HERE AND THERE. But for the most part a good player was going to dominate a bad one. I’m ranked top 300 in Madden. I’ve been ranked in the top 100 in various other sports games in the past including some of the older FIFA titles. This isn’t a skill issue. This is a fn game issue. For the record I don’t like it when I score garbage goals either. The whole experience is bad. That’s what I’m talking about. The entire EAFC experience is a nightmare.

I decided to quit about 1 month ago for the same reason, gameplay is ridiculous and on top of that they release promos every weekend. A month after I decided to quit won’t denied that the first days were hard cuz I need it the every day hype of fifa it’s like an addiction I’m a father of 3. I use the time that I used to waste in my kids and it feels so good. I only play Pro Clubs with my friends now and I don’t feel the need of going back to that addiction of UT. And if ur going through something similar where you feel like you need to quit but you can’t i recommend you what I did I quick sold my End game squad with “Messi toty “ and so on because I’ve tried to just stop playing but I still went back to it, quick selling my squad was the way .Yo can do it
I love the menu grind over the last couple weeks but MLB The Show has stolen me away until Madden and FIFA take me back in the fall

I recommend waiting until December/January, everything before that is irrelevant for the remainder of the game, not a single player is useful from before December

I actually put it in library, kept making me angry instead of enjoying playing, went back to playing e football, which is doing all the same money grab tactics as FC24, they just money magnets, very irritating for a 59 year old who has had a nervous breakdown in the past.

This game has been a button masher’s wet dream since FIFA 13. I don’t know how I keep getting sucked into buying this abomination of a product year after year. Albeit I’ve only been buying it when it goes on huge sales in the past 5 years - like over 50% off - not because I can’t afford it but because it’s my principal not to support 💩 in general.
I have so many saved videos of not only my opponents but also myself scoring absolutely MINDLESS GOALS. Like I’m talking get tackled, have the ball go back to an attacking teammate, have that guy take an ill advised shot that gets blocked… only to have it bounce directly onto the feet of yet another teammate - shoot on a wide open net and score.
This stuff happened once in a while back in the heydays of like the mid 00s FIFA titles all the way up to FIFA 12. Yes it happened HERE AND THERE. But for the most part a good player was going to dominate a bad one.
I’m ranked top 300 in Madden. I’ve been ranked in the top 100 in various other sports games in the past including some of the older FIFA titles. This isn’t a skill issue. This is a fn game issue.
For the record I don’t like it when I score garbage goals either. The whole experience is bad. That’s what I’m talking about. The entire EAFC experience is a nightmare.
Been playing Madden for 20+ years. This is EXACTLY what they do to Madden as well. It’s a horrible company. Horrendous decisions over the past 5 years.
Not even once have been able to do a trivela or finesse shot from outside the box. It’s just hard for a player who’s average in the game and now it sucks to play because it’s hard to score or win games now.
I’ve been going against full icon toty squads that I was able to beat now I can’t beat no one 😢
probably the happy medium is two modes - arcade (nothing nerfed) and this current simulation in ultimate

This update is the biggest balls up in EA’s history with this game. Totally dreadful. You can’t even play ball to space with this update. Trying to play a good passing game is pointless.

I have tried to switch to pro clubs, but it keeps crashing when i drop in. This doesnt happen when i play ultimate team. I was able to play a few pro clubs game and I had so much fun playing fc24 or any game in such a long time. But now i gotto live with not being able to play pro clubs

I think they do this (Slow the hell out of the gameplay) on purpose as a way to tone the pace down with the introduction of all the new pacey cards everywhere.
