    Update September 20, 2022: Deep Six Gear issued new updated version of Regulator Service Manual. New version is more detailed. On page 37 step 14 and 15 describe how to remove plug and replace O-rings in the adjustment knob of the Second Stage. I did not cover it in my video, not a critical step, but since it is now in the manual, please consider to follow.

    Thanks for making this video. I have the same regulators but I have not tried to service them yet. Both of mine have high intermediate pressure and they need servicing. Your video will come in handy.

    • @floridaadventurediving144
      @floridaadventurediving144 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@maxdiver9038 Its creeping up after about a minute, one is creeping to 200 psi the other to 300 psi. They are a year old and have about 60 - 70 dives on them.
      I have ordered new ones so I can still dive. I will order the service kits and service them while I take a class on servicing regs. Since I do not have all the tools yet.

    Improper use of the spanner wrench...both hands should be used, with one turning the handle and the thumb of the other hand pressed down on the pin keeping it in place and not slipping out and possibly marring the regulator finish (as happened multiple times in this video). Also, disassembly sequence is incorrect - the DIN valve housing and saddle should have been removed after the environmental cap was removed.

    • @maxdiver9038
      @maxdiver9038  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for watching. Thank you for pointing on my spanner wrench technique. The sequence of the first stage disassembly taken from the Deep 6 regulator manual, I did remove environmental cap and diaphragm first and then did the din valve assembly, not sure where have you seen opposite.

    • @maxdiver9038
      @maxdiver9038  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for watching. Yes absolutely I can share pictures. The main tool you need a handle www.divegearexpress.com/first-stage-body-holding-tool. Also inline adjustment tool good to have www.divegearexpress.com/second-stage-in-line-adjusting-tool-w-ip-gauge. Brass picks www.divegearexpress.com/three-piece-brass-o-ring-pick-set. You will need spanner wrench www.divegearexpress.com/xs-spanner-wrench-round-surface. IP pressure gauge www.divegearexpress.com/compact-ip-gauge-psi-and-bar. Set of metric align hex keys www.amazon.ca/Wrench-Premium-Metric-0-028-3-inches/dp/B09JVNVTR8/ref=sr_1_2?crid=27JM2M7QFRTOK&keywords=metric+allen+key+set&qid=1679412831&sprefix=metric+all%2Caps%2C112&sr=8-2. If you have XTX second stage you might want to buy cover opener scuba-clinic-tools.com/products/apeks-cover-tool-xtx-series. Torque wrench 20-250 in-lbs a good investment.
