Happy New Year everyone!! I needed to start 2019 right by CLEANING OUT MY CHILDHOOD BEDROOM! FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 1 YEAR! I cleaned, donated, and got rid of so much junk… but also found some amazing things!! Hope this video can give you some cleaning motivation! I encourage you to do the same!!Hope you enjoy!

I did a purge of my childhood room while I was dog sitting for my parents because I get the same treatment! I don't tell my mom anymore when I donate things.
YESSSS I need to help them purge things but I don't want to be disrespectful to their memories or their keepsakes. It's a difficult process!
I love watching it slowly progress cleaner and cleaner. It's so satisfying for some reason.

oh my God thank you for posting this video this is just like me and my daughter. she cleans out her room, I go through her stuff she wants to give away and say the same thing as your mom. Then I hang onto it. So you are right we can't hang on to everything. Your mom pulled out a doll and said she gave it to you and keeps her dolls in the box in the basement. I used to do that until my basement flooded and everything got ruined. I never cried so hard because you can't get those items back that belonged to mom/dad grandparents,. . So I will no longer keep things in the basement. if I don't keep it out on display I donate it. Your videos of organization and getting rid of things really motivates me. So THANK YOU for sharing!!! 💕👍❤️💯

I feel like cleaning or reorganizing is so stress relieving and great. When I get rid of stuff and clean it makes me feel so much better. Watching this made me even happy and want to clean my house. I love these videos!!!

I can’t wait till my room because a safe space, been slowly taking out old furniture and buying new ones and buying things to organize my clothing and books etc.
That tutu was gorgeous! I wish I could fit into stuff that I wore 10 years ago.

Cleaning can definitely get you some good change! I cleaned off my desk and nightstand and found a collective total of around $25 in change which was INSANE
The tutu!! I just did a good cleaning of my room before I go back to school! Got rid of a lot of clutter too and stuff I hadn’t used! I can’t wait to see when it’s completely redone!!
You should frame the tutu and add some fake flowers that match the dress with it and your old point shoes in the frame. It would be so cool.

Tip: ALWAYS take out the last drawer of the dresser out. That's how I found my missing shirts from ten years ago hidden in there!
Likewise I find change and some bills when decluttering. One time I found $20 in an envelope that was in the trash bag.😮 What made me look in it I'm not sure.
Surprisingly enough, I could relate to quite a lot in this. The dance medals and random change is something i always deal with when cleaning out my room for example

I know this has been posted a while but I just found it and you are amazing! Serious question--your Mom at 11:17. She is awesome, and so supportive of your designs! I'm 43, and my parents are soon to be 70. They are also "keepers of everything." Would you consider a future video or vlog about how we can help our parents purge some things now, because soon we will have to do it for real and we won't have them to ask about things! So many people my age (and even yours!) are getting possessions from their parents or are thinking about mobility issues and something has to be done with the bedroom suites of the 80s or the dining sets that were grandma's. I could definitely use help with this and I am going to keep watching your channel for inspiration. Thanks so much! Love from Kentucky USA

I was inspired instantly, right when I saw the title and started thinking of everything I want to throw away, like one of the furniture bedroom sets I have (there are 2 full bedroom sets in my rooms at my moms house still since I bought new furniture lol). And I have a ton of clothes that I can donate too 😅😅😅

Its funny to think her video idea was to just clean out her old room and show us the before and after but I got so much more out of it . It made me want to do so many different things and then be able to look back at the past and remember and to be able to get excited about the little things . :)

You can actually take old cell phones back to almost any phone store like Rogers, Bell etc.. and they’ll properly dispose of old cell phones for you. I’m not sure if places you can get laptops/cameras from will do that too but I think some will.

I do this a lot.. I'll start cleaning one part of the house, then the next moment I have bags full of old clothing and rubbish ready to be taken out... I ended up doing one major one last year when my whole street were putting stuff outside so I'm due for another one really soon. I'm glad that I'm not the only one that does this tho..
