Please Song Kang choose a kdrama wherein you will be the one ending up with the girl. I seriously need a happy ending drama from you. Love Alarm and Nevertheless are so traumatizing :(((
Idk why people hate song kang for doing this role. He nailed this character. And then people say he doesn't know acting. Like?? Hatibg him in nevertheless , now loving him in my demon. Obviously thats because of his good acting. In nevertheless his character wasn't that bad how people have commented and talked everywhere. Still glad there are people who understood what writer and director wanted to portray through this drama.
So true. All the actors are amazing here but Song Kang played it on a very deep level. The drama itself is deep and leaves you an aftertaste. First time you watch it for the plot but after returning in a while it's so satisfying to see all the emotions portrayed. It's hesitation where it should be hesitation, anger when it should be anger and so on. Every view doesn't make it trivial but just adds additional details and makes you to change an angle a bit and see one more level. Just pure joy
Многие люди смотрят фильм поверхностно, видя только верхушку айсберга. Вникнуть и подумать не хотят. Хотя Дже он отрывочными фразами рассказал Наби о своем одиноком детстве и прохладными отношениями с мамой
I am so obsessed with both of their performances in this show they are completely brilliant. They are both making so many interesting decisions. Both of them can show so much with just an eye movement or a gaze.
@sm2411 I think that’s an excuse we use to make jerks look like good people. He’s actually very manipulative. The moment he realised Nabi isn’t his plaything anymore, he felt insecure and tried to get her back by asking to date her. Later in the episode he even says “isn’t that what you want?” He just asks her out to get her back and not because he’s actually in love with her. This is the perfect example of a toxic relationship.
This isn't toxic/poisonous...just showing two wounded & very scared people!!! And them doing a lousy job of communicating their real feelings. But, I recall him describing, in the "third person," the scene where he saw her at the gallery, and "fell in love at first sight" and then met her again. The burning question I have is why won't he explain to Nabi the truth about his ex? This film is a perfect example of how to sabotage love...& it is heartbreaking.
May be NABI knew it was a lie, just like all the gossips around him, she was willing to listen to him after he was punched by that older brother , she wanted him to open up, she knew he was keeping safe distance just liker her and that's why she would keep calling him coward in her head, She was frustrated because he was drawing the line not because of SEOLA or his ex stories or any gossips. So she did the same with him, by ignoring him, running away from, avoided being personal even when they were close which then made JAEON realize it would take her further away if he didn't open up to her, it was difficult for him due to his abandonment issues but he slowly made his progress. She knows he would hurt her in the future - indicating that because there will be ups and downs in relationships , all relationships needs to be worked on but it gets difficult when you are unable to convey your feelings the way you expect your partner to understand, Nabi needed words for affirmation JAEON's love language showed through his actions the only difference they have
@@theboyz4571 Maybe so...what you say could be her reason for being hurtful to him. But the words "I love you" don't mean anything when the person saying them treats you like crap! In my view, he was the one who gave the most...showed kindness & concern for her--continuously. When did he really ever mistreat her?? From the beginning, she assumed the worst about him--didn't trust him...& showed it. But, he patiently kept coming back to her. Of the two of them, she was the one who needed to clean up her act/be real/get therapy.
@@ilickgrandmas2854 lol. Ye he has commitment issues and some fear of expressing how he feels. Probs due to something from his past or upbringing. Either way he could benefit from therapy. Nabi deserves better.
@@kadiatujalloh164 Agree, but I think Nabi needs therapy too to work on her self worth and self love issues. She already knows Jae-eon was not what she needed but she went ahead to become fwb with him anyway, hoping he'll change. If she had a strong sense of self, she would not have pursued anything with him knowing he was not what she needed. That said, I'm not saying she is obliged to date Do-hyeok because he's a nice guy. But she should be looking for someone who actually meets her needs (serious dating).
Same, i was waiting when the drama ends I'll go watch all 16 episode's i don't like waiting for weeks. But now 😂this going another way like love alarm 😂💔
All they need is communication tbvh...this movie is increasing my anxiety... alot of people are hurt... people handle pain differently...park jae keeps building a wall to protect himself all we need is for that wall to crumble...we need to hear his story...and it's park jae and Na bi as endgame or nobody
He's so much better than how he was in the webtoon. He's misunderstood by so many ppl. He's such a sincere person in this drama and he cares for Nabi so much. I think he deserves a chance. Change my mind
True love , he treats her so good but she treats him like a one night stand , this was the reason he was hurt when she retorted back to seola like Jaeon is some one who doesn't deserve love.
@@CherryClipsMovies 😆😆😆😆 More like this is what I experienced advice. Have seen bit of life and have been married for 15 years now....so u know earned this much of knowledge...
Dude reminds me of my first girlfriend in high school. The moment(s) you are moving on is when they try their hardest to pull you back. Hopefully, Nabi won't be foolish like me.
Whether he was sincere or not (and I’m leaning towards not since he did it because he thought it was what she wanted, not because he wanted it), everything he did this episode is undermined by his little stunt in the scene before this: going inside her apartment knowing that Do Hyeok was watching. He tried to mess with their friendship and Na Bi burned him for it. I clapped at the end (and then cried for Na Bi ).
Its obvious he is sincere about her. its just that the jealousy that slowly piled up while seeing nabi and potato guy got the best out of him. you can tell he was sincere. The poor guy was waiting for her in the rain and felt really bad she got late to come home. i think he was going to confess on that day but in the end its his jealousy that came out. That scene was portrayed damn well by Song Kang and Han so hee...thumbs up...
Yall not mentioning dohyeok doing the worser but okay i guess lol. Plus hes suppose to go in na-bi house he just saw dohyeok in the way? Yeah i know yall pity dohyeok so much hehe.
@@blairwrelos1891 he lied to jaeon that nabi says something negative about jaeon to him, when nabi didn’t say anything at all, like tried to sabotage jaeon and nabi relationship out of jealousy (ep 8 at dohyeok house in the village)
@@enjoys.trollingshittyreactors exactly, people are all about Jae Eon being so bad that they forget Do hyeok has done the same, countless times. The confession about Nabi being his first love, the whisper game, lying to Jae Eon when he came back from seeing Nabi. He did all that only so Jae Eon could see and get hurt but when Jae Eon does it, he is insincere. It wasn’t Jae Eon duty to tell her about her dear friend Mr. Potato Nice, I mean what guy nice or not would do such a thing when they are both fighting for the same woman. Also in my opinion, all Do Hyeok is doing now is hardly sincere because it’s all in competition with Jae Eon.
Hoping for a happy ending for everyone. Nevertheless is one of my favorite kdrama I love all the cast members. Great choice of female role to play Nabi she’s gorgeous. And male role plays park Jae-eon is handsome.
Song Kang has lost this fight just like in love Alarm. Netflix why can't he just get a happy ending?. Edit: I don't think song Kang is a jerk, he just rely on the physical and ignores the emotional until it's too late. 😁Thank you for the likes💎
I watch each ep of this drama for 2/3 times in a week while waiting for the next ep. But, I have no guts to re-watch this ep..the ending is painful and shockingly affects my mood. I think it's the only scene I can bear with..
I thought Im the only one who feels that way. Call me dramatic but I stop rewatching the ep because it hurts me so much. Ive been feeling sad since ep 9
I gotta be honest here.. I don't see why people keep callin him a red flag 🤷 he was honest with her from the start, was he not? She knew he wasn't interested in a relationship yet she decided to be with him anyway hoping that he would change. She then got hurt and everybody decided to blame him even though it hardly was a surprise where he stood🤷🤷 And i dont get why she's so upset that he asked her out. Yes he's got issues. But so does she. So does everyone to be fair. he just needed to learn to communicate more. Really you can't blame him for asking her out. Blame her for being angry about a situation she knowingly put herself in. And honestly if she is so upset that he's asking her out then just say "no"🙄 it's that simple! But no. She's mad because she doesn't want to say no and she takes that out on him.
I would like to point out he knew he loved Nabi even before Do-hyuk showed up infront of him, When his mother told him that her biggest regret was not being honest with her ownself was the turning point for him not Do-hyuk, he doesn't acts like a child , if does Do-hyuk is even more childish , a lot more than Jaeon. He acts jealous infront of Do-hyuk because Nabi doesn't show him any care at all. She tossed him even earlier when the junior guy came into the scene. They are both hurting only because of they both thinks that the other one is only there for FWB and nothing more while they both are seeking it to be more. It's mutual for them. From their insecurities to their attraction to their admiration to their anger and frustration!!!
Well said, some people are missing the plot saying he is only wanting her more because he is jealous and want his toy back! Like you said jae eon was learning through his mother and his friends words before he knew about potato guy, when he was missing her and looking for her
@@april_rain3103 it is so frustrating to keep going scene by scene to people who are under the influence of webtoon plotline expecting the same adaptation and fails to identify the difference .
I wish Jae on could be more honest about his feeling. Tell Na bi that he never felt the way he feels with Na bi. He knew but he didnt tell Na bi about it. And I am also wish Na bi ask him a straight forward question to Jae on. Just ask do you love me? If you dont then stay away. Ask him what his true feeling towards her so that they could work things out. Problem is they both keep their words in their heart and hurt themselves.
Here is the difference of how they both approach art and it's relation to their personal lives- Jaeon is not good at expressing himself so he inculcates his feelings into his art, all his real life experineces , that's why they have more personal touch and relatability and is thus more inspirational which makes him a genius in his field, apart from the fact that he is also dedicated to what he does- it shows his loyalty to what he loves, In case of Nabi - she is talented but has just stepped out of her cocoon and learned how to be opinionated from her past relationship but still fails to have confidence in what she thinks or feels which holds her potentials back , last time when she made a lot of progress in one single day - it was all because of her acknowledgement of her relationship with Jaeon. He is her inspiration. And do-hyuk is a catalyst who's helping them realize what they want in reality from each other, not a threat to jaeon as a second lead. He can possibly become one but in the far far future not now. And if he finds someone who chooses him as the special one like Nabi and Jaeon chose each other, that would give him a better ending, he doesn't deserve to be treated as a replacement.
I think he breaks up takes the wing he’s created and becomes a handsome monster with one wing. This monster is even more beautiful than the devil himself 😅
I would not call EP.9 as their confrontation, it was more of an emotional outburst coming from each other out of frustration. It's all natural, and hopefully they'll confront with all honesty in ep 10, we shall have a meaningful closure. :)
I don't get the idea why most people criticize both main leads. I really love the chemistry between them and I still looking forward for them to have happy ending though I know there's possibility they won't end together just like in the manga, but we never know till the end, just like the drama 'It feels so good to die', the ending is different from the manga. I will always support the main CP💪💪💪
they are pretty much like any other normal couple just we are more focusing into their story , specially Nabi's perspective. Although Jaeon shouldn't be ignored at all, it will change angles.
@@bungeoppang7 I don't understand what does their chemistry have anything to do with the webtoon? Because what I see is two people falling in love, and I just love to see both of my favourite actor and actress having such a good chemistry in this drama. Of course, I wont deny Park Jae Eon is being the jerk like the how the male lead is in webtoon, but I can see in the drama his character development and there's no right or wrong when it comes to the matter of love. If you can control who you love, then I don't think that is a sincere love. It's up to individual, you prefer to hate the characters in the drama but I prefer to believe in him and support them. Even before I read the webtoon I know the storyline from the summary and I am getting frustrated while reading but I still finish it. And the ending makes me disappointed so when I know it has a drama I am so happy to look forward to something different. And I am satisfied with the ending of the drama and I am touched by the character's development. So, I would just want to tell that there's no right or wrong, it's simply individual personal choice and I will always support these two, because they really matched so well, doesn't matter as PJE and YNB or SK and HSH which is the reason why I watch from the beginning.
@Sophie Tecle he never said he was insincere there. you all are misinterpreting his words. what they simply did there was saying some rude things to each other especially nabi when they don't even mean those things. they seriously need to have a proper conversation.
@Sophie Tecle he said does DH still wanna be with you after watching us go into your house together, which means he purposely went in with Na-bi because he wanted DH to change his opinion about her,and yeah he also asked her to date simply because he didn't want her to be with DH. We wanted an honest conversation with these two but they just broke each other's hearts all over again, Na-bi also said some hurtful things.
can you give us scenario or examples of him being a manipulator..i think he’s an a**hole but everything they did was consensual, they were actually happy with each other until ep 6.
@@PlotTwister Episode 9, when he was getting his stuff from Nabis house. He attempts to kiss her, but she stops him before he can. She tells him she doesn’t want to make a mistake. She gets up and goes to fridge, to which he goes and AGAIN tries to make moves on Nabi. She had just stated before she did not want to repeat the past, yet he still makes moves on her. Now for the manipulation: he asks out Nabi impulsively (only bc he was threaded by DH) and then tells her it’s “ultimately her choice”. He knew she wanted to distance herself from him, and at the last minute, tries to manipulate the situation into seeming like Nabi has some choice in their relationship. He, for a second, makes it seem like he actually has some feelings for Nabi, but then backtracks by telling her to “think about it”. It’s all a manipulation tactic to make it seem like Nabi has a choice, but in reality he has calculated all of this in order to keep her on his “leash”. Right as she tells him that he is done with him, he goes back to giving Nabi this false hope that they could be together again. That’s manipulation.
@@AnAdultKpopFan but that’s only ep 9! we all know he suddenly turned into a monster on that episode..does being a manipulator only happen from time to time?? it has to be a behavior and consistent behavior that is.
If Nabi ends up moving on with DH, and considering the premise that she is cynical about love, its incredible that she’s gonna have 3 bfs in one show and Song Kang does not even get one from his last 3 (?) dramas 😂😂 Justice for Song Kang! 🦋 Update: Nabi still wins, 2 vs 1 🥰🥰🥰
[LONG PARAGRAPH CUZ THIS EPISODE GOT ME UGHHH] My interpretation of this episode is that there’s a lot of symbolism here. This is Jaeon’s self-reflection episode, through others words and experiences he tries to focus on the parts that are flawed. Dohyeok is warm and sincere and he is constantly praised by Nabi and others for it, those traits are emphasized. All this time, Jaeon thought he acquired all the traits that make him so appealing, but now that he sees Nabi warming up to Dohyeok’s warm nature…Jaeon finds himself unsatisfied with how things are going clearly and realizes that there’s something within him that needs to be fixed. Nabi mentioned that she wanted to be better for Dohyeok and Jaeon asks at the end of the conversation, “what about me?” Which is left unanswered by both Nabi and the writers. Jaeon at the same time, wishes he could be better after hearing Nabi. When asking Nabi to go out with him, you could see him break his collected and indifferent role when Nabi brushes off what they did as “mistakes,” he was genuinely hurt. He was secretly hoping she was lying, and he even said “lies.” And after that, when Gyuhun and Jaeon were playing tennis, they weren’t actually talking about the sport. Jaeon wonders if it was greed that made him ask out Nabi, and Gyuhun says that it’s a good thing since it makes you work harder. And Jaeon never really had to work hard for anyone like that. When Seola departed, Jaeon seemed a bit sad but mostly because we don’t see his side of the story. He’s having a hard time managing his emotions and thus, at the end he can’t stand that Nabi is constantly choosing someone over him even though, he thought he had it all. He’s clearly attached to Nabi…right now, more than Nabi is attached to him. He didn’t expect it but he is, and he keeps wanting to spend every minute with her because deep-down he knows that he’s losing her. I know some viewers wondered if he’s just mad that someone else took his “plaything” before he was okay with it, but then…why would he be affected by Nabi calling their interactions a “mistake?” People don’t care about playthings, they know they could go on without it. But there’s legit so many moments when his regular personality cracks, the charming smile drops after seeing Nabi distance herself away. He said he hated clinginess yet he’s doing the same, I guess he’s getting a taste of his own medicine.
He was so close to tell their friends during MT, when they asked" is the girl he like here?" but do hyeok cousin's broke the soju glass stopped him from answering. He was sure of his feelings back then, but Na-bi couldn't see that because she believed in Seol-a. In Ep 9..He is very attentive when it come to Na-bi like how he notice she has been drinking too much and he walked her home, how he tried to cheer her up by giving her the bracelet when he accidentally found out she was not selected for student exchange program, he waits for her to finish work to take her home, and how he worried about her when she was being criticize by her lecturer, he was there, waiting for her to open up to him. But, she was already drifting away from him.
@@manwol196 Exactly, he knows he loves her but the problem is not stepping up and confessing directly. Nabi puts meaning to his work, thus, after they start talking...he says that he is able to focus on his work again. This man is whipped, absolutely whipped I tell you that
My thoughts exactly. I mean, when he said that he fell in love with a girl in the art gallery - he's obviously talking about her. But Nabi must have been thinking that he's refering to another girl. She's clouded by the perception of Jaeon being a playboy and shuts all chances on the possibility that he might change and genuinely like her. Throughout the whole episode, he's been asking important questions that helped him conclude his feeling and made him took necessary action (cut ties with Seol A, confessing in the rain). And yet his outburst is just so self-sabotaging.
@@diyana169 No really! You are just on point with that one. His outburst is just a result of frustration from not getting his point across. I know we say that communication is SOOO essential but literally, it is everything here. Initially, he kept seeking Nabi to have her continue being drawn to him, but now, his reason to stick to her is different. He doesn't like being tossed to the side, even though, he did that to Nabi all along.
Lots of people are angry with jae on but hey we need to understand that every persons behavior came from past experiences even the worst ones, not a justification but an explanation. I just hope that there's more episode for jae on's past, he is an interesting character. We need more. 10 episodes are not enough!!! 😭
@@parkalina8170 Agree! Also what was the deal with him and his ex...why did they split up? He treated her well. She came back and complicated his life. What happened causing that misunderstanding and punch up with that dude? We have unanswered questions and scenes that could be rerun but from his POV 😊
I like that JE clarified that the kiss was not a drunken mistake to him, and that he knows NB well enough to know that it wasn't for her to. I liked how he explained that he liked being with her, that he liked even her angry face. Even when she's not all smiles, he likes her too. JE's feelings has been there for NB for a few eps now, he also kept trying to clarify if her and DH was dating, and was only able to get a confirmation from NB that they weren't in the bar. That's fair. About him saying he thought that's what she wanted, I saw it as him saying that he thought she liked him too, so when he says "I guess that's not what you wanted from me" he's saying, so you didn't want to date me after all, he's surmising NB's answer to his offer to date as a "no".
he likes/loves nabi but he doesnt realize or know it. or even if he does know, he doesnt wanna tell her that he does have feelings for her. for a guy like him that just plays around with girls. I hope Nabi sees that "jerks" dont just give handmade gifts like bracelets or a butterfly wall decor, dress, or follow u to a place where no one knew u were there, just to find u. my bf doesnt often tell me he loves me. or say sweet things to me. but i know he loves me. action speaks louder than words.
My ex did all that. Handmade stuffs and made me feel like I was the main lead of a kdrama but at the end he turned out to be a jerk only. U need to understand that these days jerks have levelled up their acting skills
He wants to be with her in all seriousness but because she doesn't shows him any care, tosses him out everytime another guy apporoaches her for a relationship, *he rushed about it and fucked it up* inspite of Nam-gyuhyun's subtle warning hints, because he thought it was the only way he could be with her , yk why he doesn't wants it ? Keeps a safe distance It's called defensive mechanisim, he can not risk to be separated In a lay man's language - everything leveled comes to an end , he doesn't wants the level of girlfriend boyfriend, he doesn't wants it to be announced to the outside world so they can level him and her , relationships comes to an end , *couples break up or grow out of it* He doesn't want to go through all that ever with her - this is the root cause of commitment issue his love for her is way more delicate and sincere if only she could realize them without doubting him for once because of others , gossips etc She believes all the other people in the world but not jaeon.
But it's hard for her to just trust herself to him bc of her experience with her ex. The only way she can trust his love for her is if he tells her straight up and doesn't do anything confusing without explaining it to her. He hasn't been very good at communicating and clearing things up so she's not gonna be able to trust him fully. There was a time where she was actually on the verge of not listening to what others say about him and just wanted to be with him, it was in ep 4 before the whole fight with that man that punched jaeon. She asked him "are you seeing someone else?" And he answered "no", but then suddenly a man comes to beat him up cuz he's supposedly seeing his sister. After that she got angry and sad that he "lied" to her and decided that he is not serious and she needs to distance herself from him. And he never came to clear the situation up, only apologized and said he'll be more serious from then on. Then the whole girlfriend situation was also not cleared up. Then it led to this. But I'm sure he too is also scared of commitment and her not telling him that she actually loves him is not gonna allow him to be open with her, but she can't tell him that because she doesn't want to look pathetic and be in love with a guy that sees her as a plaything (like her ex did) So I can get why she doesn't want to fall into a relationship with him like this. Like someone else said, they both need to work on themselves before they think about relationships.
Good god! At least this comments section is better than the JTBC comments section which is full of hate for Nabi. 🙄 Jae Eon just needs to stop with this twisted seduction. He thinks a kiss and one bracelet can make up for a broken heart.
I've watched this whole drama... and it's quite satisfying. But I don't know why.. but I'm just attracted to Jaeon's that bracelet (kada). It's just perfect on his long , veiny hands. I think a relationship is rightly described here. Relationship isn't something that goes smoothly like a "fairy tale " . Just an unclear talk and a misunderstanding can end it. Communication is the most important thing in any relationship. Communication connects people's thoughts... and we should definitely fall in love with people's thoughts fiest rather than their external appearance . In this drama they're physically attracted to each other and feel a sense of satisfaction. But it gets toxic when Park Jaeon doesn't have the same thoughts as Yu Na-bi.
There's no denying they have so much chemistry, but they're so toxic together 😩I really hope they don't end up together bc it would glorify/promote toxic relationships.
toxic? I think it's a normal, passionate beginning of a deep relationship, sure it's a lot more intense than happy go lucky couples but there are many types of loving in this world. He played around, found an interesting girl, pulled away as soon as he catches feelings, still approaches her, asked her out, got into a drunken jealous rant to convey his feelings, and cried. No violence no grooming no abusive behaviour no dating no nothing and yet this all happened That is not toxic, that's called stages in an intense relationship Ps:do not come for me, this is obv personal opinion of someone whose personality is similar to JaeOn Maybe that's why I'm tryna explain/justify some of his actions I don't consider him touching her arm and leaning to kiss her before she says no is creepy, more towards persistent, unable to let go cause she feels the same way unless she says don't touch me. And he backs away every time And he fought for her, I respect that and I'm a girl But then, we don't think alike, so my bad for replying in the first place cause I was triggered, felt personal
@@allierazaktisu You missed the mark with this. This isn't an intense relationship, it's straight up toxic. Let me just copy and paste a comment I made somewhere else. 1. Consent. Jaeeon has no ability to respect Nabi's personal boundaries. in many scenes, Jaeeon forces himself upon Nabi despite her saying "Let go of me", "stop" etc. Episode 9, he tries kissing Nabi. She pulls away and tells him to stop and she doesn't want to make a mistake. He CONTINUES to force himself on her at the fridge. CREEPY AF! If I tell you to stop, STOP. 2. Jaeeon has no capability of explaining his feelings to Nabi. He is so cryptic about everything. He can't tell Nabi anything. How many times has Nabi asked him questions AND he cant answer a single one. In episode 9, Nabi asks him "Is that why you asked me out", referring to Jaeeon seeing Dohyeok, and his reply is "ISN'T THAT WHAT YOU WANTED?". When Nabi asks Jaeeon about his girlfriend, his response is "IS THAT THE ISSUE?" When has Jaeeon ever asked Nabi's questions? WHEN? 3. Nabi's inner dialogue mirrors that exactly of when she was in her abusive relationship. Every single time she is with Jaeeon, her inner dialogue talks about how UNSURE she is about everything to do with Jaeeon. "does he like me?" "does he have a girlfriend?" "does he feel the same way?" etc. ALL THE TIME! She is never given any sense of closure when she is with Jaeeon. She can't trust him. PERIOD. If she can't trust him, what makes you think they'd ever be able to date? 4. Jaeeon is obsessive. He literally cannot leave Nabi alone. EVEN when she wants him to. When she told him she wanted to end whatever they had, he continued to pursue a "platonic" relationship even though he literally would CONTINUE to make moves on her. 5. Calling other girls while he's with Nabi. The disrespect lmao. The fact he left on her birthday because he got a phone call. He couldn't even tell her why he left either. No explanation, just dipped. 6. The butterflies on the girls arms. Seriously? Pathetic. He is using the same moves he uses on other girls on Nabi's. This is literally a red flag. 7. Bitna warns Nabi about Jaeeon. This one is easy. If your friend KNOWS someone and they warn you about then, that's a bad sign. 8. He literally laid his hands on her. The rain scene, where he grabs her arm aggressively and she drops her umbrella. RED FLAG. Imagine what else he COULD do if he was even more drunk. REF FLAG! 9. He insulted her & he has controlling tendencies. In episode 9, rain scene, he says "Why are you out so late? Were you with Dohyeok?" They're not even dating yet; she can do whatever she wants. "Why are you out so late?" followed with him grabbing her wrist aggressively shows he has controlling tendencies. He wants to know where she is at all times to the point it's borderline obsessive. 10. Likes to publicly humiliate Nabi. Remember when Nabi was talking to Eunhan and he showed up while they were talking about a movie. He talks about how "Nabi is fussy kisser".
For people who still think jaeon is still a jerk or toxic, why do u only blame Jaoen? For me, both of them (Jaeon and nabi) are at fault. They are both attracted to each other, sexually and emotionally. Yes, Jaeon is a player and he is manipulative. But, he never did something rude to Nabi without her consent. Nabi is the one who gave him a chance and started this complicated relationship. I’m not trying to slut shaming her, because for me everybody's free to do anything with their body and emotion but they have to deal with the consequences and don’t blame others for it. So, Nabi is the one who kissed Jaeon first, even tho she knew that he just kissed another girl. And, when she was sick, she said that she will be disappointed if Jaeon goes home, so Jaeon decided to sleep over and nurse her, then she kissed him first in the morning and so on, the rest is history. She knew the consequences about how Jaeon is, but still did it because deep down in her heart she wants Jaeon to change and become her lover (her narration said about it a couple times). But what made me disappointed is that she was mad at Jaeon not because something Jaeon did directly to her, but because of people talking negatively about Jaeon and their relationship. Then she confronts Jaeon to “break up” with her. But in reality, Jaeon never “cheated” on her, he even helped her when she was in trouble (the period thing), be there for her on her birthday, give her a special gift, etc, but Nabi and most of the viewers just overlook it because of his player image. And what makes me frustrated is how both of them are damaged (mentally), so they are always insecure about their feelings, and can't be honest about it and can't communicate well. How Jaeon can’t be honest to Nabi that the man who hit him was misunderstood and how Soela lied to her. Jaeon is someone who can’t easily understand his own feelings, so he keeps building walls, but it doesn’t mean he wasn’t sincere about his feeling for Nabi. Like he said (in the narration), his feeling for Nabi is something new and strange to him, that’s why he kinda doesn't know how to deal with it. Therefore, he always ends up getting jealous and mad, then again, he loses a chance to tell Nabi about his honest feeling. And Nabi never really listens to Jaeon either, and because of that they always end up being rude with their words and hurting each other. Nabi is always so grumpy and indecisive about him. She always shut him off when he was trying to be honest about his feelings, but then after that, she got mad at him because he didn’t contact her. She wants him to change and be sincere about the relationship, but now when he does she doesn’t want to give him a chance anymore. Somehow it is understandable because she has always been so insecure about his and her own feelings, but why so indecisive? So, really, I think both of them need therapy, they have to heal themselves first, trust and love themselves so they could communicate better and build a healthy relationship in the future, whether it is together or with another person.
Y’all been harsh to Jae-on if we’re being honest, he has lot of emotions bottled up inside and cannot express himself. He needs therapy about commitment, we can’t deny the fact that he actually likes and care about Nabi. He was never harsh or treats her badly, y’all cut him some slack pls
@@AnAdultKpopFan they both messed up, their relationship started on a wrong path. The problem I have with jae_on is not explaining what really happened between soel-a and him. Nabi should also tell him how she feels about it. Their problem is communicating with each other
@@oluwakemiajoke2654 Just because the relationship started on the wrong past doesn’t mean Jaeeon can physically hurt Nabi?? That’s literally lowkey abusive.
He has sincere love for her. In ep 8 I want to believe that the lady he narrated to Nabi that, he saw and fell in love with at the exhibition was Nabi but Nabi did not realize. She supposed to ask him question to know the reason he was telling her about the lady whom he later met when it snowed. He has untold issues running in his head. And I don't think he has any serious relationship with other ladies.
He truly loves her he isn't a narcissist he loves her so much he just don't know to convey his feelings Also Nabi isn't answering him properly but she's hanging out with do hyeok he got jealous and got drunk ...😥he said all mean things he didn't want 😭My boy is so precious..Don't hate him😥
I think so too even though lots of people call him toxic and whatnot. I honestly see myself in him and there are many types of people in this world who has different ways to communicate and fails in that department but people are way too quick to label them narcissist, toxic, and all that. People are not perfect, flawed but don't we deserve happiness too and the chance to improve ourselves especially when we found that someone and realizes we appear different in their eyes and they don't know what we're thinking of
This show broke my heart to pieces. We see a broken woman keep telling herself to not fall for the mysterious broken man. However they are drawn to each other and get caught up. I hate that Ja-eon led her on and then blamed her for their interaction. I also don’t like that she led her best friend on too. The ending was heartfelt and we can assume that Ja-eon has learned that his playboy ways is just a mask to hide his emotional pain.
I hope they pull through in episode 10 lol I ship them so much so I can’t help it. I don’t want real life anywhere 😭 Give me a predictable ending where they get together 😁😭 I hope they pull a tempted
Ep. 9 broke me. I need an outlet and it's taking time for The Swoon to upload the Ep. 9 end scene so here... Yang Do-hyeok - His love is pure. We don't want him to get hurt but he wants to be there for Nabi regardless of the chaos. He wants her to run to him when things are sorted out (or just don't work out) with Jae-eon. Yu Nabi - All the emotional shit that she went through with her ex and during the early stages of meeting Jae-eon turned her into an overthinker. To protect whatever peace is left of her, she started building her walls in hopes that the stress won't take a toll on her. She no longer wants clarity. She just wants peace. So when Jae-eon was already offering something she wanted for so long... it didn't bring relief and joy like we hoped it would. Park Jae-eon - His "coldness" was his comfort zone. He's been holding back for the longest time but for the first time in a long time, he's taking a risk and voluntarily tears down his walls for Nabi but the slightest hint of rejection or impending pain scares him. One minute he's sincere, and then when he feels like it's not safe, he snaps out of it and returns to his comfort zone (and also says hurtful things). Like yes, there will be "what ifs" but it's safer behind my walls. Man, as someone who went through all these phases... I'm tearing up 'til the morning after and can' t bring myself to rewatch it despite seeing the BTS yesterday. Great work team! 🥇
Thank God, someone who see Jae-Eon as a flawed human he is. I hate when people just simplifies such a complex character as a "bad guy", a "jerk". The script, the writers, are making such a good job at showing us he is just a broken guy. Na-Bi broke because of her ex too. This is reality guys. I feel you, Danielle. I've been through some of these phases as well. It is not easy to heal. It is not fast. :'(
We hurt others first before getting hurt - this is a self defense mechanism. I too am having my own memories ‘haunting’ me thru this movie. It’s been a great ride. The actors are flawless in acting out their flawed & broken characters (pun unintended!). Such a cliffhanger to episode 10!!!
@@ThatyannaPP so true my dear. Like if he'll just be a jerk, why are we getting a glimpse of his emotions coupled with voice over at times? Why will he be teary-eyed over a suncatcher? Yes, we know that Nabi doesn't see that. But we, the audience, see that and people still tag him as a plain, unreasonable jerk. I really hope that the team and the actors get recognized for a job well done. ♥ The mirroring is strong in the end scene dear. It's not even about JaeBi alone, but about reality slapping us across the face. I'll pray for our healing. 🤗
I think watching nevertheless & hospital playlist at the same time is so funny because one day I see men like Lee Ikjun and then two days after I have to deal with Park Jae-eon.
This relationship kinda changes Nabi and she ends up in a complicated relationship with a older married man( the world of married) .. And jaeeon learns ballet and meets a grandpa and lives happily(navillera)
Ep 9 spoilers - why Jaeon is the one for her HINT no.3 Her ART that shows she lacks some elements to express her own colour (this has been hinted from the beginning , she is herself very insecure due to her past relationship) Her critique or art professor mentions - she wanted her to learn be more passionate from Jaeon Jaeon's and Nabi's relationship is full of passion but they aren't capable of being honest due to their fears of loosing each other, which also leads them to doubt what they have, they don't trust their own sincerity This has been pointed out by SOL - *NABI is trying to find a problem/mistake, which may not even exists in the first place* and this could be the actual main issue tbh, she thinks it was all a mistake from the beginning because of how they started their relationship and SEOLA's lie definitely didn't help them And the only frustrating part i found was JAEON never tried to clear her misunderstandings, he could have just told her , she lied , but instead he scolded NABI for retorting Maybe because he was drunk and jealous, which he will regret ofcourse, his fear of loosing her for good was shown very clearly this time in his own head, But honestly he wouldn't have acted jealously with Do-hyuk either, if he could tell NABI cares for him, but she brushes him off due to her own fears of getting too attached to him. I'm sorry but practically in the entire series only NABI was in the receiving end, be it a gift , be it support, be it encouragemet, JAEON didn't even receive his birthday wish from her, thanks to SEOLA's lie and their lack of trust and self guarding tendencies of both which shows how fragile their hearts are in real but NABI has ignored his sincerity the whole time in fear of getting attached as opposed to conveniency of a fragile heart. :) I wouldn't be able to over look someones's sincerity for so long. Jaeon realized his feelings late but NABI didn't allow him the space to be honest, she keeps avoiding. It's possible someone we know with many past relationship be still be sincere , when you realize then better help them confront it , like hey DUDE YOU LOVE ME , SAY IT OR GET LOST. :) ALAS AN AVOIDANT RELATIONSHIP can take away some sweet time. :) And it's okay Atleast they are mutually growing together , in the same pace. There's nothings wrong with what they both are feeling or facing, it is all natural, it will come to an end soon, given the directors want the same. Other wise they are unnecessarily dragging it at this point. This was hinted by Nam- Gyuhyun , bit-na's boyfriend to JAEON , *that sometimes it's better to not rush things* . ✌✌✌✌✌
@@theboyz4571 I agree with you and I don't understand why they say this relationship was wrong!! Maybe it's just me thinking this way( I'm from Europe) but from what I understand relationships in Asia or maybe Korea especially have to follow a certain pattern or list. we all have crushes and feel attraction to others but we don't really know if we will fall in love unless we spend time with them. My opinion is that Jaeon and Nabi spent a lot of time together alone and during those moments, away from the eyes of other judging/jealous/mean people they made each other feel very happy! Don't you think that is important? Jaeon never treated Nabi badly and since they actually slept together I didn't see him show interest to any other girl
@@andrianakerr4491 I keep saying that too, Jaeona has not eyed any other girl after he started his relationship with Nabi, he had been loyal and dedicated the whole time, but some people keeps messing up the timeline and brings up that he had played with many girls lmao, and that's how exactly the gossips about him goes around in the drama too, that he won't commit , going on dates doesn't confirms someone's commitment, if someone doesn't fall for you, you can't force the person to fall or commit, well same goes for a sexual relationship too, true commitment doesn't requires to be announced , self acknowledgement and realization is the most important part. Also the webtoon readers keeps coming for jaeon , they can't see any of the character or plot changes , they have presumed he is toxic (all red flags) now needs therapy , nabi is stupid , a victim of abusive relationship and do-hyuk the potato guy is her end game. :)
I really don't understand. Why can't Jae-eon just tell Nabi that Seol-a is not his girlfriend? That is the reason why she is trying her best to avoid him. That is the main reason of their misunderstanding
That's not the only problem with him. He is toxic and plays with her feelings. And in this episode he even pushed himself on her while he was drunk. She should have called the police
I think because when seola told ,she is his gf, nabi taunted her with an advice about he likes to fuck - indicating jaeon as her fuckbody ,and that she wouldn't care to fuck his love life beyond it if it means to hurt him or the other partner intentionally, even though it was a lie , seola told everything about Nabi - either to get on his better side or because she was jealous or as an warning, I personally like Nabi in that scene. She stood up for herself without a care in case if it was the truth, it's not her fault she didn't know , but she should have made a scene infront of jaeon instead 😂 jaeon was hurt to know she sees his relationship within the limits of bwf only, that's why the outburst in ep9 Specially because even in the past she threw him aside when a junior guy approached her , he is aware that she is swayed easily once someone shows up with a commitment statement, now do-hyuk came into the scene, the most important issue is not only they misundertsand each other but also Nabi ignores him all the time in fear of getting attached to him, she brushes him off easily just as easily she gets attracted to him.
He is like an innocent child where his toy is being taken away so he wants to claim it now. I want to say his feelings are sincere but it’s not healthy that his relationship with Nabi begins out of jealousy and a desire to “claim” her as her own when she’s finally moved on. 😥
im gonna riot if NB end up with DH. not only jae eon who need to figure out himself, NB as well. girl need to run away and get a therapy as well. let NB end up with no one. im tired sksksk

He just asks her out to get her back and not because he’s actually in love with her. This is the perfect example of a toxic relationship.

But, I recall him describing, in the "third person," the scene where he saw her at the gallery, and "fell in love at first sight" and then met her again. The burning question I have is why won't he explain to Nabi the truth about his ex? This film is a perfect example of how to sabotage love...& it is heartbreaking.
Happens in real life though.... the oblique confession.
@@thechiongs2564 Yes, I agree...and this is why we have such strong feelings about them--it is so familiar!!
May be NABI knew it was a lie, just like all the gossips around him,
she was willing to listen to him after he was punched by that older brother , she wanted him to open up, she knew he was keeping safe distance just liker her and that's why she would keep calling him coward in her head,
She was frustrated because he was drawing the line not because of SEOLA or his ex stories or any gossips.
So she did the same with him, by ignoring him, running away from, avoided being personal even when they were close
which then made JAEON realize it would take her further away if he didn't open up to her, it was difficult for him due to his abandonment issues but he slowly made his progress.
She knows he would hurt her in the future - indicating that because there will be ups and downs in relationships , all relationships needs to be worked on but it gets difficult when you are unable to convey your feelings the way you expect your partner to understand,
Nabi needed words for affirmation

Whether he was sincere or not (and I’m leaning towards not since he did it because he thought it was what she wanted, not because he wanted it), everything he did this episode is undermined by his little stunt in the scene before this: going inside her apartment knowing that Do Hyeok was watching. He tried to mess with their friendship and Na Bi burned him for it. I clapped at the end (and then cried for Na Bi ).

I gotta be honest here.. I don't see why people keep callin him a red flag 🤷 he was honest with her from the start, was he not? She knew he wasn't interested in a relationship yet she decided to be with him anyway hoping that he would change. She then got hurt and everybody decided to blame him even though it hardly was a surprise where he stood🤷🤷
And i dont get why she's so upset that he asked her out.
They are both escapists :) let that sink in
I would like to point out he knew he loved Nabi even before Do-hyuk showed up infront of him,
When his mother told him that her biggest regret was not being honest with her ownself was the turning point for him not Do-hyuk,
he doesn't acts like a child , if does
Do-hyuk is even more childish , a lot more than Jaeon.

He can possibly become one but in the far far future not now. And if he finds someone who chooses him as the special one like Nabi and Jaeon chose each other, that would give him a better ending, he doesn't deserve to be treated as a replacement.

Finally Park Jae-on is being honest for his feelings for her
I love how Swoon use their names instead of Jeaeon and Nabi, imagine you are searching "Songkang Hansohee dating rumors" and this popped up
I would not call EP.9 as their confrontation, it was more of an emotional outburst coming from each other out of frustration. It's all natural, and hopefully they'll confront with all honesty in ep 10, we shall have a meaningful closure. :)
Idk how u guys r rooting for Jaeeon after he laid his hands on Nabi at the end of ep 9 and given everything he’s done.

Thanks for this comment i want them to end up together...
@@bungeoppang7 but this aint the webtoon...so they can change somethings of they want to right? It doesn't have to end like the webtoon...just saying
I was so happy when he finally asked her out but got mad when Jae-eon showed his true colors in the end. He's a narcissist
Heey, please tell me what he did!
Yes tell us plz
@Sophie Tecle he never said he was insincere there. you all are misinterpreting his words. what they simply did there was saying some rude things to each other especially nabi when they don't even mean those things. they seriously need to have a proper conversation.
@Sophie Tecle he was not “kind of a jerk” he was a total jerk..from level 0 to 100 jerk 🤣
I feel like "no good in goodbye" by Madison Beer is the perfect song to describe their relationship.
he's a cunning manipulator. idk why people are still pushing these two as the endgame.
can you give us scenario or examples of him being a manipulator..i think he’s an a**hole but everything they did was consensual, they were actually happy with each other until ep 6.

[LONG PARAGRAPH CUZ THIS EPISODE GOT ME UGHHH]
My interpretation of this episode is that there’s a lot of symbolism here. He’s clearly attached to Nabi…right now, more than Nabi
is attached to him.

He doesn't like being tossed to the side, even though, he did that to Nabi all along.

And he was jealousy and angry as he said it
he likes/loves nabi but he doesnt realize or know it. or even if he does know, he doesnt wanna tell her that he does have feelings for her. for a guy like him that just plays around with girls.
Jaebi scenes gives me pain and KangHee bts content heals it all
Same! Exactly my feelings
This role is made for song Kang. ❤❤ I must syyy❤❤
Song kang just say “ i love u” or “ i like u” she will believe you
He wants to be with her in all seriousness but because she doesn't shows him any care, tosses him out everytime another guy apporoaches her for a relationship, *he rushed about it and fucked it up* inspite of Nam-gyuhyun's subtle warning hints, because he thought it was the only way he could be with her ,
yk why he doesn't wants it ? Keeps a safe distance
It's called defensive mechanisim, he can not risk to be separated
In a lay man's language - everything leveled comes to an end , he doesn't wants the level of girlfriend boyfriend, he doesn't wants it to be announced to the outside world so they can level him and her ,
relationships comes to an end , *couples break up or grow out of it*
He doesn't want to go through all that ever with her - this is the root cause of commitment issue
his love for her is way more delicate and sincere if only she could realize them without doubting him for once because of others , gossips etc
She believes all the other people in the world but not jaeon.
Indeed say!!!
But I'm sure he too is also scared of commitment and her not telling him that she actually loves him is not gonna allow him to be open with her, but she can't tell him that because she doesn't want to look pathetic and be in love with a guy that sees her as a plaything (like her ex did)
So I can get why she doesn't want to fall into a relationship with him like this. Like someone else said, they both need to work on themselves before they think about relationships.
@@Beomjoy i agree with your points

No violence no grooming no abusive behaviour no dating no nothing and yet this all happened
That is not toxic, that's called stages in an intense relationship
Ps:do not come for me, this is obv personal opinion of someone whose personality is similar to JaeOn
Maybe that's why I'm tryna explain/justify some of his actions
I don't consider him touching her arm and leaning to kiss her before she says no is creepy, more towards persistent, unable to let go cause she feels the same way unless she says don't touch me. And he backs away every time
And he fought for her, I respect that and I'm a girl
But then, we don't think alike, so my bad for replying in the first place cause I was triggered, felt personal

Fully agreed on this..
I wish there were more people viewing the show like you :)
Wow this comment 👏🏼👏🏼 you noticed many details I even forgot about while analyzing the situation. I agree with you btw
I disagree. I think he was harsh. He laid his hands on her at the episode 9 when he grabbed her wrist aggressively. You have to admit that’s messed up
@@AnAdultKpopFan they both messed up, their relationship started on a wrong path. The problem I have with jae_on is not explaining what really happened between soel-a and him. Nabi should also tell him how she feels about it.

I think so too even though lots of people call him toxic and whatnot. I honestly see myself in him and there are many types of people in this world who has different ways to communicate and fails in that department but people are way too quick to label them narcissist, toxic, and all that. Ep.
Well thought analysis sister! Totally agree 👍

(this has been hinted from the beginning , she is herself very insecure due to her past relationship)
Her critique or art professor mentions - she wanted her to learn be more passionate from Jaeon
Jaeon's and Nabi's relationship is full of passion but they aren't capable of being honest due to their fears of loosing each other, which also leads them to doubt what they have, they don't trust their own sincerity
This has been pointed out by SOL
- *NABI is trying to find a problem/mistake, which may not even exists in the first place* and this could be the actual main issue tbh,
she thinks it was all a mistake from the beginning because of how they started their relationship and SEOLA's lie definitely didn't help them
And the only frustrating part i found was JAEON never tried to clear her misunderstandings, he could have just told her , she lied , but instead he scolded NABI for retorting
Maybe because he was drunk and jealous, which he will regret ofcourse,
his fear of loosing her for good was shown very clearly this time in his own head,
But honestly he wouldn't have acted jealously with Do-hyuk either, if he could tell NABI cares for him, but she brushes him off due to her own fears of getting too attached to him.
I'm sorry but practically in the entire series only NABI was in the receiving end, be it a gift , be it support, be it encouragemet, JAEON didn't even receive his birthday wish from her, thanks to SEOLA's lie and their lack of trust and self guarding tendencies of both which shows how fragile their hearts are in real but
NABI has ignored his sincerity the whole time in fear of getting attached as opposed to conveniency of a fragile heart. :)
I wouldn't be able to over look someones's sincerity for so long.
ALAS AN AVOIDANT RELATIONSHIP can take away some sweet time. :)
And it's okay
Atleast they are mutually growing together , in the same pace.
✌✌✌✌✌
Here is the difference of how they both approach art and it's relation to their personal lives-
Jaeon is not good at expressing himself so he inculcates his feelings into his art, all his real life experineces , that's why they have more personal touch and relatability and is thus more inspirational which makes him a genius in his field, apart from the fact that he is also dedicated to what he does- it shows his loyalty to what he loves,
In case of Nabi - she is talented but has just stepped out of her cocoon and learned how to be opinionated from her past relationship but still fails to have confidence in what she thinks or feels which holds her potentials back , last time when she made a lot of progress in one single day - it was all because of her acknowledgement of her relationship with Jaeon.
If any one wants to know the first and 2nd hint - ask me or if you have already noticed then great :D
One of the most sensible comments I've read about this series.
@@andrianakerr4491 I keep saying that too, Jaeona has not eyed any other girl after he started his relationship with Nabi, he had been loyal and dedicated the whole time, but some people keeps messing up the timeline and brings up that he had played with many girls lmao, and that's how exactly the gossips about him goes around in the drama too,
that he won't commit ,
going on dates doesn't confirms someone's commitment, if someone doesn't fall for you, you can't force the person to fall or commit, well same goes for a sexual relationship too, true commitment doesn't requires to be announced , self acknowledgement and realization is the most important part.
I think because when seola told ,she is his gf, nabi taunted her with an advice about he likes to fuck - indicating jaeon as her fuckbody ,and that she wouldn't care to fuck his love life beyond it if it means to hurt him or the other partner intentionally, even though it was a lie , seola told everything about Nabi - either to get on his better side or because she was jealous or as an warning,
I personally like Nabi in that scene. She stood up for herself without a care in case if it was the truth, it's not her fault she didn't know , but she should have made a scene infront of jaeon instead 😂
jaeon was hurt to know she sees his relationship within the limits of bwf only, that's why the outburst in ep9
Specially because even in the past she threw him aside when a junior guy approached her , he is aware that she is swayed easily once someone shows up with a commitment statement, now do-hyuk came into the scene, the most important issue is not only they misundertsand each other but also Nabi ignores him all the time in fear of getting attached to him, she brushes him off easily just as easily she gets attracted to him.
He is like an innocent child where his toy is being taken away so he wants to claim it now. I want to say his feelings are sincere but it’s not healthy that his relationship with Nabi begins out of jealousy and a desire to “claim” her as her own when she’s finally moved on. 😥
Yesss😕

I love how this ep ended sorry not sorry 🙃
no such thing as a happy endings i guess.that potato boy is so fcking boring istg.
@@r10t49 It's kind of sad to see that people think toxic relationships are more "fun" compared to more sincere, genuine and healthy ones.
@@AnAdultKpopFan yep.... I am thinking, so which one better... fun but hurtful or boring but lovely?.... I am prefer mate with boring guy but with lovely memories
@@AnAdultKpopFan i mean yaaa potato boy ain't bad but he ain't the main character.
@@r10t49 That's the whole point of the show. Nabi and Jaeeon are the main characters in order to depict a toxic relationship.
these two have major commitment and trust issues lol
I just don't understand why people want her to be in relationship...she clearly don't like that potato guy n I don't want her to indulge in that jerk again...like seriously why can't she be happy without any relationship.🤷
I am gonna watch this show again
Ever since the 1st episode, I don't expect them to be together (blame the webtoon 😅). But since a lot of changes happened in the drama, I don't expect anything. What I hope is for them to heal in the end.
it's “Nevertheless” for reason it doesnt matter who deserve better or not. It's up to na bi who she wants to end up with, coz in real life thats just how it works. some might give one to fix themselves and some don't even hesitate to leave the toxic one
Love you THE SWOON ❤️
