    The 1867 gyeongbokgung is not the same as the 1395 one the 1868 reconstructed one form heungseon daewongun is more of an englarged changdeokgung palace. The decorations of gyeongbokgung now is all from changdeokgung and the woodwork as well. The orignal gyeongbokgung would have been more detailed and grand. This palace is essentially a copy and paste of changdoekgung . Even changdeokgung probably is not exactly the same as before the imjin war. All the palaces now that we see are examples of the economically stagnant late Joseon.

    Hi master youn is the chair in the geungjunjeon hall the original from 1868. also why didn’t gyeongbokgung get immediately reconstructed after Imjin war. and one last question why does everyone say restore gyeongbokgung and not reconstruct restoring is like restoring a painting that’s dirty not entirely redrawing the painting.

    • @koreantourguideyoun3635
      @koreantourguideyoun3635  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      First of all, thank you so much for your interest in my video.😄
      1. The throne of Geunjeongjeon is not original, but was newly created in the mid-19th century. The original one, made in 1395, was burned down by the angry Joseon people during Imjin War.

    • @koreantourguideyoun3635
      @koreantourguideyoun3635  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      2. After the end of Imjin War, King Gwanghaegun was the king ofJoseon Dynasty. Gwanghaegun restored Changdeokgung Palace and Changgyeonggung Palace before the restoration of Gyeongbokgung Palace. Perhaps the kings of Joseon believed that Gyeongbokgung Palace had an bad energy for some reasons, while Changdeokgung Palace was much loved by kings because of its outstanding scenery. Therefore, King Gwanghaegun seems to have delayed the restoration of Gyeongbokgung Palace until later. Gyeongbokgung Palace was finally restored in the mid-19th century.
