    In all symphonies of Karl Czerny as a contrast to romantic fogs and darkness we hear the hymn of a true classic - Carl Czerny to the best part of the humain mankind !!! Tepper Michael.

    Perhaps this is 'old fashoned' and rather like Spohr of years before but it's very well crafted and engaging. It's nice to hear late Czerny played so well.

    It will take time and patience but I am confident that the combined efforts of all the people in You Tube who keep uploading these neglected treasures will eventually restore Czerny to the category of frequently performed composers.That and the effort of those who put these treasures on CDs for the first time in history.

      I think you might like to know he is STILL the most regularly performed composer of all time, millions of piano students play his studies every day.

    Enjoyed this. Have now heard Symph 1.2.5.6 on TH-cam. Thanks. I like Czerny now.. want to hear more. All I
    knew before were the few piano pieces I had to learn. I'm surprised that all that simple Scarlatti, Czerny,
    Clementi, Bach, Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, Mozart stuff I learned as a kid has stuck with me, and given me pleasure later. I didn't know then that they were "good".

    The Symphony is very nice and well-made, but... was composed ca. 20 years too late. It is belongs to the 1830s, not to 1854, when Schumann, Mendelssohn, Chopin etc. composed already all theirs works.

    Questa è una sinfonia da 1800-1810. Nemmeno Mendelssohn.Troppo vecchia .Nel 1854 c'erano già Schumann ,Brahms,con ben altra musica.

    • @organman52
      @organman52 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@arturdankovsky8293 Yes. His handling of the elements - phrase groupings, modulations and instrumentation work quite successfully. But on the subject of thematic material and overall tonal architecture, this pales in comparison to the master composers. And then there is the issue of thematic interrelationships within and between movements. There are none. The masters are full of such relationships. And one more little thing - every passage sounds like something the masters had already done. Hence my original comment about cliches etc. This music does 'all the right things' - just like a models exercise in a conservatory curriculum.
