I actually worked on My Girl. I was a props assistant and refurbished a lot of the bikes that the kids rode in the movie. I was also involved in the scenes at the fair (Orlando Fairgrounds), the streets of Sanford and the Bingo game. The interiors of the Sultenfuss home/funeral home were shot in a warehouse on west Sand Lake Road. The interior sets were amazing. There were three floors including the basement embalming room. The basement, first floor and second floor were all separate sets. The garage interior was also in the warehouse and Shelly's RV was brought in when they shot inside it. Jaws 3D used the same warehouse during that production. My Girl was a fun film to work on!
Hey Jordan I believe that is a carriage stop out in front on the street with a step block to get down from the carriage. I had almost forgotten about this movie. Dan ackroyd did a very good job in this movie. Thanks for brightening my day! Prostate cancer!! Too funny. I liked Vetas character pretty adult at times but a really well written part. Plant City... Pacifist!! Bed Wetter!! Kinda sad movie in parts. Good movie to see again..

Enjoyed this vlog! This is my hometown where I grew up . I remember the movie well and really liked it, although I haven't watched it in years and have probably only seen it a couple of times since watching it when it was new, but it was a great movie. I have a brother that is a retired veteran of the police force here, but at the time of filming, he was in charge of special detail pertaining to the security and safety and needs of the actors, and was able to meet and talk with Jamie Lee Curtis and Dan Aykroyd. I can't help but think about the movie every time I pass that house. It's always cool when Hollywood comes to town! 😎 Keep up the cool vlogs, I've caught a couple of them so far look forward to seeing more 😎

Such a sweet and perfect movie..And it has aged so perfectly. It will always be good! I remember when it came out, my girlfriend and I (I believe I was in High School then) went and saw it at the cheap theater like 6 times... Tears at the end every single time!!

When it came out, I saw an interview with Jamie Lee saying that during the filming, she had a " cuss jar" set up that the kids had to put money in every time a "bad" word slipped out of them😊 Loved the quaint historical towns and locations... Oh my gouda, I cried my eyes out when I first saw this movie! The death of Thomas J was heart wrenching and I really felt Vedas pain. Such a classic movie and I know for sure that I will be making it a point to watch this again sometime over the weekend.

That movie I first saw when I was in college. I rented the VHS from a neighborhood family owned video store. The family owned 2 stores. This was early 90s. Loved that film. And I grew up in the late 70s so I thought they did a decent job capturing the feel of the era. Thanks Jordan.
