  • Hello I am Suzanne, I am a small scale flower farmer and florist located in Devon in the Uk zone 8B.
I grow on a small cut flower plot of 16 square metres, and also have a cottage style garden.
I grow my flowers to sell predominantly as pre ordered retail bouquets and also provide florals for small events.
I grow without the use of chemicals, and try to garden in away that benefits nature.
My channel is very casual and low tech with all filming and editing being done by myself, content is a real mix of both gardening, cut flower production and floristry.
In this video I talk about 10 easy to grow inexpensive cut flowers for beginners.
I also have a video listing my top 10 cut flowers • Top 10 Cut Flowers to ...
And mytop 10 perennial cut flowers • Top Ten Perennials to ...
If you would like to support my channel and help me fund my camera and microphone for filming you can now buy me a coffee by following this link www.buymeacoffee.com/stemsbys.... Thank you 🌸

Yes, but I have never been able to source the seed for that one. And always reluctant to buy plants that are so easy from seed. I might pinch some from my parents garden instead. 🌸

I would rather buy plants than spend it on heating any Day ! Love Sarah Raven...She always has seeds that are more unusual and native plants too...😊

Good for you wearing your warm clothes indoors, I do the same, very frugal,👍🏾
I have allotments for fruit and veggies but now I really love the sheer beauty of flowers for personal use or giving them away, I’ll be growing dahlias, glads, lupins, echinacea, asparagus for the fern, alstromeria, achillea, sweet William, sweet rocket, godetia, penstemon, sunflowers, cosmos, snaps, ammi, self sown calendula and self sown verbena bonsariasis, would like to try some dill, salvia and amaranth, but I have ordered some astilbe for a bit of fluff, I have some chrysanthemums now in pots in the greenhouse that I’ll be taking cuttings from soon, don’t know where I’m going to put them all, lol ,
    best wishes, Lisa

I think we all have more plants than space 😉 yes I need to get my sweet peas out too. I m trying Godetia for the first time, and I love my Astilbe, but they are in my cottage garden, along with Lupin sand verbena. I have some Alstromeria seed but not been brave enough to try yet 😊🌸happy growing.

I had my Alstromeria as a collection from hayloft, not cheap but think they’ll be worth it as they last a long time in the vase

That is funny, it doesn’t have the best vase life anyway 🌸 and you will have more room for something else 😊
