I love this song - but this is a cut down version with half the solo missing. Its a shame they don't have the full video on their channel. I guess they decided that just over 5 minutes was long enough.
This was back in the era of editing down times for tv and radio. If there is a longer version of the music video I havent seen it. Presuming it doesnt exist, its not that they wouldnt make it the full length if they were making it now. The reality is that music videos are for promotion first, art second, and at the time, getting on tv was important enough to trim off what you could to be seen than to not be seen. Now that streaming is more important, the length doesnt matter. Afterlife, Bat Country, and Beast and the Harlot by Avenged Sevenfold are all edited down by at least a minute. Tears Dont Fall by BFMV is the same. Waking the Demon has a version up with more cleans in place of harsh vocals than the album version because TV in some areas wouldnt play the album version. Some did have the original audio though.
It doesn’t exist. Watch the live clips for the full song. That said, the solos change every time they play it live. They’re absolutely nuts. Have fun!

I just revisited the Herman Li reaction to the Tina S cover and the original. So I consider myself prepared for your reaction. I can't attend this live but I am sure I will enjoy what you have to share about the song whenever I will able to consume jit.

I made it to the end! I got to see them live this year in Cleveland too. I love how some people criticize them and say it's all sped up and they can't play it live......well they absolutely can! And it was amazing

That was quite a blast and I am happy that I made it to the end, despite being tired and kind of overworked :)
First time I saw Dragonforce was at Sweden Rock Festival in 2006. Me and my gf at the time saw this bands name in the line-up. We had no idea who they were and thought we should check em out. Both of us had long hair BUT Herman Li´s hair was a jawdropping sight. Was an excellent show.
Has anyone made the connection of when Junna referenced the "hold my beer" in her cover.
Saw them last month, great show!...The ladies from Lovebites learned a lot of tricks from Herman and Sam when they toured together in 2019.
Herman Li is considered a guitar god. His playing is amazing.

I made it to the end, through the brain melting awesome of this video and it just blows my mind how good DragonForce are, they remind me a lot of Dream Theatre in how technical and prodigious they are. While quite rightly people talk about the guitar work in this, I think the drummer is often overlooked at how much of a beast he is.

What operating system are you using? If it's Windows 8 or later it has a built-in antivirus. I just got a Dell laptop with Windows 11, and they bundled McAfee with it, but I just uninstalled it and use Windows Defender which works fine.
Pausing during this song would be tough as the song is one guitar solo after the next. I remember when Mortal Kombat came to the arcade and how big of a deal it was.

My introduction to this song was from the John Ringo novel, “Choosers of the Slain.” Female American Air Force helicopter pilot is flying a Czech version of a Russian Hind and goes absolutely nucking futs and blows the crap out of Chechen machine gun bunkers while blasting this song from attached loudspeakers.
I think my favorite TH-cam video if this song is one where somebody made the Guitar Hero version using LEGO blocks. It’s perfectly synchronized.

back when through fire and flames came out i'd always get on the fence and bring up Sonata Arctica as a counterpoint, but these days i really dont give a crap anymore, just listen to whatever the F you like lol.

I'm seeing this on Easter Sunday, so you would've already seen the concert. Their touring Bassist is Alicia Vigil from Vigil Of War. She recently directed her first music video for her group and it features Herman Li in the video and on the album tract as well.
Hope the concert was fantastic. I was supposed to see them April 3 in NYC but came down with pneumonia and couldn't make it.

Did you say you hadn't seen it ? Because on the Junna cover you said her drinking you had seen in the MV. So I'm confused.
Yep even referenced seeing it was the guitar player drinking the water. I was thinking okay you could know that by seeing a piano cover that does that same thing juuna does and reading the comments but his phrasing sounds more like hes seen the video than a comment.
