My high school crush got married to her high school boyfriend and they now have a child. Luckily for me I was the boyfriend, been happily together for 20 years.
I remember I had a crush on this boy back in high school. He was studious and athletic and pretty much nice to everyone. I remember I would blush and be thrilled when we get grouped together for school assignments. I felt devastated when he had to return to his home country but I eventually got over it. We ended finding each other on Facebook due to a former classmate putting together a page of our school memories and became friends. He’s married and has children and he looks happy. My crush has ended and sometimes when I think about it, we wouldn’t be compatible but it’s ok. I ended up married with a man who loves me and is earnest and hardworking and have a beautiful boy together.

Im still friends with the girl i crushed on in high school. Its been 25 years and she has only gotten more attractive. Her personality is still amazing, as well. We live multiple states away, but she might be coming to visit this summer.... fingers crossed.

A few crushes I had in high school. I was fat, insecure, but had ambitions. 2 of the girls I had crushes on got fat and ugly, while I flourished in college after having a cool roommate that introduced me into biking. Found my passion, lost 100 pounds of fat, gained about 20 lbs in muscle. I was really into Under Armor compression clothes and it really accentuated my muscles and it felt great. I ran into one of them 10 years later and saw that she gained a lot of weight, was divorced from the douchebag that married after high school, and was with her 2 kids. She looked at me and cried. I felt bad for her because her life after school was not good, from what I hear, but really, I was also glad she rejected me, because I don't think I would be where I was then if she didn't reject me. 9 months later, I go to our 10 year reunion. A lot of the people had change. I met the other crush and while she became fat, she was still married. But, I remember the look on her. She was my crush, and she asked me out, and I said no. The reason why I said no was partly because I was insecure about myself, didn't have a driver's license. After looking at her, she still had feelings towards me, and I had forgotten about her, but, really, if she weren't married, I probably would have still pursued her, at least to see if I could develop feelings for her as she was the coolest girl I ever knew.
Tbh she should have asked a date and find red flags before even marrying someone you won't really know them if you aren't going to date and ask questions about him sometimes the relationships are pretty controlling. Can say the same thing about this girl, although I feel bad for her too.
I confessed to my crush back then, but got turned down with "If you'd slim down, I would've actually said yes". A year later, I got in rehab, got psychological treatment for my aggression and also physical therapy for my overweight. Came back basically a completely different person. I switched classes, though and made some good friends for life. Now a couple years after graduation, I'm about to finish my master's degree in electrical engineering, have a fiance and a nice place to live. She was texting me on Facebook, I look so different than back then and if I would like to meet up. I reversed the roles from back then, saying that even if she looked good, I still am spoken for and have no interest in having contact with a superficial wh*re. Turned out she was broke and unemployed. Took her own life 5 months later. Felt a bit guilty though.
I actually got the chance to date a crush from school. She actually went through so much trauma and distrust towards men it felt like I was walking around Legos within egg shells.
My HS crush and I lost touch after HS. We were more acquaintances than friends. He pretty much made it clear our senior year that he wasn’t interested when I asked him to prom. So my HS boyfriend is now in jail, prolly for life given the number of charges, on CP. He abused and SA'd me, so it is kinda karmic justice to see him rot in jail on charges that might see HIM finally be SA'd. Sorry if this makes me a horrible person... 😅 but he did try to kill me.

My high school crush, I thought was quiet, kind-hearted, mature, family oriented and gentleman like. We went out for a bit during 2016 after both of us completed college but he called it off to say he just saw me as a friend and nothing else. We were still friends so we talked once in a while, but I was the one that would start the conversations, hoping he would change his mind, not realizing he was already going out with other girls. Then I stopped talking to him and eventually overtime accepted that he wasn't going to come back. He eventually did and we started going out for a bit in 2022, however, he changed completely. He made me feel very uncomfortable by holding me tightly when I didn't wanted to (even telling him no, but he took it as a yes), made some very unfunny jokes, such as telling me to punch a girl in the face after I lost an illustration competition to her (which I would never do by the way, the girl deserved that win, her art was awesome) and he was disrespecting my family, so I called it off. Last time I've talked to him, he blamed his b*tch sister for giving him COVID. I was pissed. Haven't talked to him since. Edit: Thanks for the support, figured to clarify some things. I haven't severed all ties from him but I know better not to go out with him again. I'm sure he'll eventually find the right one, but its definitely not me. As for his b*tch sister, his words, not mine. I thought his sisters were nice people, especially since one of them allowed him to stay with her. Sounds close to mine. One I found out just got pregnant (we actually grew up together); one came out as lesbian. What’s crazy is that I was about to ask her out and she was going to say yes but wanted to get that bi part out due to me being Christian. Well my crush i actually was able to get with back in HS. Though after about a year we broke it off. im pretty sure she was cheating as she immediately was with this one dude literally the next day and was trying to push her friend on me like countermeasures to a missle. And now fast forward many years (via facebook peaks) she has divorced twice and had kids with both of them. The hilarious thing? 3:00 A friend of mine lived in Japan for a while, and while he was still learning the language he was trying to ask someone at a bus stop when the bus comes. But he was using the wrong word. Sometimes Japanese words are just English words with an extra syllable, so he was trying that with bus, buy saying "bus-u" but pronounced more like "boo-soo". Which in Japanese actually means "ugly". So he's standing there talking to this horrified Japanese woman, basically saying "Ugly! UGLY! UGLY!" lol. (The actual word would've been pronounced more like "bah-soo".) So playing devil's advocate, maybe the guy legitimately used the wrong word? I mean it could happen. Never know unless you ask.
Well there were many. I didn't talk to any... except to the one I'd 'score' as girlfriend (which I broke up with come first year of my airforce service). That's also the one that sticks out the most, as in dying last fall to a combination of more chronic conditions than I would ever be able to count (the one I always remember was hashimoto's). Continuing from that one on though, I had many in my time in the air force, and I would stick with one special person - which just so had to turn out to be the daughter of my direct higher-up (he was a general, I believe, since I'm terrible at translating military ranks), and who would later join the air force as well (where she would soon move to be the position of her dad's when he retired and pulled some strings). That was around 2010, and one year on from that we would marry. Going strong ever since, expecting our second child in ~4 months :)

I got to go on a date with one of my crushes. I had this crush since the 7th grade and she was probably my first love. I had a crush on her for years and she knew that I liked her, but she only ever wanted to be friends. When we graduated I dumped a lot of stuff emotionally weighing me down and moved away for college. She was dumped by an old ex and we connected and got into a complicated friendship. She emotionally used me and made me into a long distance boyfriend without the title. That went on for my first semester. During that time she was talking and dating other guys while still keeping me on the bruner, talking to me everyday, doing things that a couple would talk about and would do, but she couldnt take the next step. She continued to scrap me away until she found a boyfriend. We stayed friends until I got close to God and decided this was a toxic friendship. I ended our friendship telling her how badly I felt hurt while she gaslighted me telling me that everything that I felt was basically us just being busy. Her boyfriend at the time wasnt a good guy and it killed me seeing how much of a jerk he was. They broke up months later, got into another relationship and he too was a jerk. She dated an ex of hers after that. Im glad she got out of that pattern. Im wishing and praying the best for her, because now she is a few months married to an old friend of mine from high school. I learned a lot from my God about moving on and forgiveness. Being home I see her from time to time and it causes me great fear or anger, my faith in Jesus is getting me through this but Im afraid of relationships and being treated the way I was, being blinded by love the way I was. Im still single and sometimes it bothers me seeing her happy after tearing into peices all those years ago and her getting nothing but happiness. But I think Im finally in a place to move forward and be happy. My journey these past years has been crazy and amazing. One thing I learned from her though is I learned to not let a bad experience tear you up to change you and let you drown in misery, move forward, forgive, and dont let people like that live rent free in your head. The only crush I ever ran into after HS was my friends sister they were in the same grade because he had flunked 1 year. Anyways I couldn't act on my crush because she was his sister so I never did. Fast Fwd to 2008 I started working at this work house my job was packaging & palletizing she was a line operator. She was even more beautiful than in HS. She said that was crazy because she also had a crush on me & she even told her bro but he prohibited her from dating his friends. We started to see each other but didn't become intimate we did make out but no s3x because her ex worked there too when he found out he told hr & they pretty much forced her to end the relationship because since she was my superior there was an issue I understood & she even said we could keep it on the low meaning we wouldn't do anything when out as a group but I said it was ok I didn't wanna get her in trouble.

Jr. High (like 8th grade): girl was from a small town in Georgia and wound up in my little town a thousand miles away of in Missouri. I ended up becoming a truck driver later and wound up in her hometown and there she was working at the mom and pop truck stop I stopped at. Turns out, her husband’s family owned it and he had just taken over. Sat down in their restaurant, caught up, laughed a little, and made my way out to California… Where I ran into my sophomore year crush at a Love’s in Coachella. She was a tourist heading into LA. I was headed to an Amazon facility in Riverside and then to Salt Lake City.

Throughout my years in middle and high school, I've have had five crushes on five different girls, although one of them was a case where we both agreed that it wouldn't work. Long story short, each and every one of them rejected me, and the only relationship I ever had lasted for only one whole week during my sophomore year, she was the one to break up with me. Needless to say it caused me to have trust issues with women for a long time, and wasn't until 2020 when I finally broke out of that dark shadow. First guy is an engineer in a different state now. Second guy I started dating about a month after meeting senior year. Now 8 1/2 years later we live together and are planning on getting married next year. Ran into the first guy’s sister at an alumni event a few years ago and found he also had a crush on me for years but was afraid to act on it. He didn’t start dating anyone til after college and I do wonder sometimes if it was related. Still, I’m glad he never said anything so I was able to meet the love of my life and I just hope he’s happy.
I WAS the crush in HS. Girl I went to school with from 7th to 11th grades fell for me pretty hard, but we were already friends in a larger social group. I was aware, but kept it friendly and casual since I didn’t want to blow up our friend group if it didn’t work. She also wasn’t my type in the slightest, but a genuine and cute girl nonetheless. We reconnected close to a decade after school, I met her fiancée with my wife along for drinks, and we all got along great. She suddenly passed away after having her second child. My HS crush turned became a teacher at the very same HS we went to. Her track record of dating was very confusing and made me question her taste in men. And she wasn't a dumb 304 she was really smart and I remember I could have some really good conversations with her. In HS she was dating this dude who played League of Legends constantly (Back then it was as popular as Fortnite is now and everyone was doing it) and this dude from what I heard from her mom actively avoided her the whole summer one time which really upset her. After she said that all my feelings and puberty fuelled obsession I had about her- GONE FOREVER Now I couldn't care less about what or who she's doing. Hope she's happy still
One of my crushes I knew I had no chance with cause almost all the other girls in our class we had together was crushing on him too plus I was like 3 years younger but I actually hadn't seen him since high school when I was a sophomore and he was a freshman in the college near our school. Really nice guy and I really hope things went well for him. My second crush had become my boyfriend but I realized we didn't have much in common and broke up with him. He and my friend then ended up going out, breaking up, going out again when we were adults, getting engaged, having a baby and then when they were on the way back home from the hospital he died of a heart attack at just 21 years old. We were all still friends and when I heard I thought it was a joke. Still can't believe he's gone even a decade later.

The girl that I fell into with before his school even began. It was summer and my aunt and I went to the grocery. When we arrived and talking about stuff, I suddenly for the time stopped in my tracks as this awesome looking beautiful girl with red heave and round big love earrings passes us by. I was the first time in my life that I had gotten distracted like that. We continue our tracks. Over the next three years of hs we had our interactions. In the second grade till my 4th grade / graduation she even was my classmate. During the events of the second year we became friend and in the third year of hs, the crush that I had for her resurfaced due to our constant interactions. Before I got to tell however, somebody else did in the middle of the class in a loud manner. By this sudden revelation, she went off. I, however, fell my world crushing down and went home shortly after and fell into darkness. This however, cleared my head and my grades Skyrocketed. Years later, maybe now 15+, she still looks awesome and beautiful as ever. I saw her of her 30th on social media sometime ago.

There was a girl I met in driver's ed, she was 18, I was 16. We were both socially awkward, and just clicked, and shared the fear of telling the other our true feelings. He screamed "Get the Hell away from my daughter!" and I never saw her again. She was a staunch Catholic and I was a Lutheran at the time. I'm now agnostic but that's besides the point. After high school, I looked her up on Failbook, and I saw those deep brown eyes, her message wall was full of guys thanking her for "last night" and how great she was. I confirmed with friends that she was indeed loose and would do anyone. 22 years later and I still wonder what could have been.
mine became a stereotypical full on modern feminist (purple hair, bad haircut, tatoos, super left wing takes ,heavy into alternative "magic" rituals, experiments with drugs and gained a lot of weight ), in HS she was stereotypical very femenine girl that liked Hello Kitty stuff, girly pop music and took care of her looks in a traditional way. Not sure how she ended there as it was a big time gap where I didnt know nothing about her, I for sure but would not been able to handle such a 180 if we where to be together all this time. I remember I would blush and be thrilled when we get grouped together for school assignments. I felt devastated when he had to return to his home country but I eventually got over it. We ended finding each other on Facebook due to a former classmate putting together a page of our school memories and became friends. He’s married and has children and he looks happy. My crush has ended and sometimes when I think about it, we wouldn’t be compatible but it’s ok. I ended up married with a man who loves me and is earnest and hardworking and have a beautiful boy together.

A few crushes I had in high school. I was fat, insecure, but had ambitions. 2 of the girls I had crushes on got fat and ugly, while I flourished in college after having a cool roommate that introduced me into biking. Found my passion, lost 100 pounds of fat, gained about 20 lbs in muscle. I was really into Under Armor compression clothes and it really accentuated my muscles and it felt great. I ran into one of them 10 years later and saw that she gained a lot of weight, was divorced from the douchebag that married after high school, and was with her 2 kids. She looked at me and cried. I felt bad for her because her life after school was not good, from what I hear, but really, I was also glad she rejected me, because I don't think I would be where I was then if she didn't reject me. 9 months later, I go to our 10 year reunion. A lot of the people had change. I met the other crush and while she became fat, she was still married. But, I remember the look on her. She was my crush, and she asked me out, and I said no. The reason why I said no was partly because I was insecure about myself, didn't have a driver's license. After looking at her, she still had feelings towards me, and I had forgotten about her, but, really, if she weren't married, I probably would have still pursued her, at least to see if I could develop feelings for her as she was the coolest girl I ever knew.
Tbh she should have asked a date and find red flags before even marrying someone you won't really know them if you aren't going to date and ask questions about him sometimes the relationships are pretty controlling. Can say the same thing about this girl, although I feel bad for her too.
I confessed to my crush back then, but got turned down with "If you'd slim down, I would've actually said yes".
A year later, I got in rehab, got psychological treatment for my aggression and also physical therapy for my overweight. Came back basically a completely different person. I switched classes, though and made some good friends for life. Now a couple years after graduation, I'm about to finish my master's degree in electrical engineering, have a fiance and a nice place to live. She was texting me on Facebook, I look so different than back then and if I would like to meet up. I reversed the roles from back then, saying that even if she looked good, I still am spoken for and have no interest in having contact with a superficial wh*re. Turned out she was broke and unemployed. Took her own life 5 months later. Felt a bit guilty though.

My high school crush, I thought was quiet, kind-hearted, mature, family oriented and gentleman like. We went out for a bit during 2016 after both of us completed college but he called it off to say he just saw me as a friend and nothing else. We were still friends so we talked once in a while, but I was the one that would start the conversations, hoping he would change his mind, not realizing he was already going out with other girls. Then I stopped talking to him and eventually overtime accepted that he wasn't going to come back. He eventually did and we started going out for a bit in 2022, however, he changed completely. He made me feel very uncomfortable by holding me tightly when I didn't wanted to (even telling him no, but he took it as a yes), made some very unfunny jokes, such as telling me to punch a girl in the face after I lost an illustration competition to her (which I would never do by the way, the girl deserved that win, her art was awesome) and he was disrespecting my family, so I called it off. Last time I've talked to him, he blamed his b*tch sister for giving him COVID. I was pissed. Haven't talked to him since.
Edit: Thanks for the support, figured to clarify some things. I haven't severed all ties from him but I know better not to go out with him again. I'm sure he'll eventually find the right one, but its definitely not me.

Sounds close to mine. One I found out just got pregnant (we actually grew up together); one came out as lesbian. She was trying to organize our 20th HS reunion this year, but doesn’t seem like most of our class is interested since most have moved outside our home state.

Well my crush i actually was able to get with back in HS. 3:00 A friend of mine lived in Japan for a while, and while he was still learning the language he was trying to ask someone at a bus stop when the bus comes. But he was using the wrong word. Sometimes Japanese words are just English words with an extra syllable, so he was trying that with bus, buy saying "bus-u" but pronounced more like "boo-soo". Which in Japanese actually means "ugly". So he's standing there talking to this horrified Japanese woman, basically saying "Ugly! UGLY! UGLY!" lol. (The actual word would've been pronounced more like "bah-soo".) So playing devil's advocate, maybe the guy legitimately used the wrong word? I mean it could happen. Never know unless you ask.
Well there were many. I didn't talk to any... except to the one I'd 'score' as girlfriend (which I broke up with come first year of my airforce service). That's also the one that sticks out the most, as in dying last fall to a combination of more chronic conditions than I would ever be able to count (the one I always remember was hashimoto's). Continuing from that one on though, I had many in my time in the air force, and I would stick with one special person - which just so had to turn out to be the daughter of my direct higher-up (he was a general, I believe, since I'm terrible at translating military ranks), and who would later join the air force as well (where she would soon move to be the position of her dad's when he retired and pulled some strings). That was around 2010, and one year on from that we would marry. Going strong ever since, expecting our second child in ~4 months :)

She emotionally used me and made me into a long distance boyfriend without the title. That went on for my first semester. She continued to scrap me away until she found a boyfriend. We stayed friends until I got close to God and decided this was a toxic friendship. I ended our friendship telling her how badly I felt hurt while she gaslighted me telling me that everything that I felt was basically us just being busy. Her boyfriend at the time wasnt a good guy and it killed me seeing how much of a jerk he was. They broke up months later, got into another relationship and he too was a jerk. She dated an ex of hers after that. Im glad she got out of that pattern. Im wishing and praying the best for her, because now she is a few months married to an old friend of mine from high school. I learned a lot from my God about moving on and forgiveness. Being home I see her from time to time and it causes me great fear or anger, my faith in Jesus is getting me through this but Im afraid of relationships and being treated the way I was, being blinded by love the way I was. Im still single and sometimes it bothers me seeing her happy after tearing into peices all those years ago and her getting nothing but happiness. But I think Im finally in a place to move forward and be happy. My journey these past years has been crazy and amazing. One thing I learned from her though is I learned to not let a bad experience tear you up to change you and let you drown in misery, move forward, forgive, and dont let people like that live rent free in your head. I had a HUGE crush on this one girl but by the time I worked up the courage to ask her out, she had a BF. she apparently liked me too. My awkward ass never picked up on it and was too ashamed to try again. She now has 3 children, a husband, did some modeling and just became an ordained minister. I say all of this because Im pretty sure I don't want kids and am an open atheist. I think about her once in a while, but we most likely would not have worked long term. She seems incredibly happy and like she's doing well and I'm incredibly happy for her.

The only crush I ever ran into after HS was my friends sister they were in the same grade because he had flunked 1 year. Anyways I couldn't act on my crush because she was his sister so I never did. Fast Fwd to 2008 I started working at this work house my job was packaging & palletizing she was a line operator. She was even more beautiful than in HS. Anyways since i worked 1st shift & she was on 2nd shift & i only worked her shift occasionly when they needed ppl to do ot & even then ww didn't always get assigned to the same areas I only worked with her a few times that 1st year so we didn't really talk besides as coworkers. I told her I never was married & she said she was but had been recently divorced because he cheated on her. Anyways we started hanging out socially but in a group with other coworkers I eventually told her how I had a crush on her. She said that was crazy because she also had a crush on me & she even told her bro but he prohibited her from dating his friends. We started to see each other but didn't become intimate we did make out but no s3x because her ex worked there too when he found out he told hr & they pretty much forced her to end the relationship because since she was my superior there was an issue I understood & she even said we could keep it on the low meaning we wouldn't do anything when out as a group but I said it was ok I didn't wanna get her in trouble.

Throughout my years in middle and high school, I've have had five crushes on five different girls, although one of them was a case where we both agreed that it wouldn't work. Long story short, each and every one of them rejected me, and the only relationship I ever had lasted for only one whole week during my sophomore year, she was the one to break up with me. Needless to say it caused me to have trust issues with women for a long time, and wasn't until 2020 when I finally broke out of that dark shadow. Still think about every now and then, but could've been a lot worse. I very well end up being single forever until my name is carved on a gravestone, but hey that's reality. First guy is an engineer in a different state now. Second guy I started dating about a month after meeting senior year. Now 8 1/2 years later we live together and are planning on getting married next year. Ran into the first guy’s sister at an alumni event a few years ago and found he also had a crush on me for years but was afraid to act on it. He didn’t start dating anyone til after college and I do wonder sometimes if it was related. Still, I’m glad he never said anything so I was able to meet the love of my life and I just hope he’s happy.
I WAS the crush in HS. Girl I went to school with from 7th to 11th grades fell for me pretty hard, but we were already friends in a larger social group. I was aware, but kept it friendly and casual since I didn’t want to blow up our friend group if it didn’t work. She also wasn’t my type in the slightest, but a genuine and cute girl nonetheless.
We reconnected close to a decade after school, I met her fiancée with my wife along for drinks, and we all got along great. She suddenly passed away after having her second child.

The girl that I fell into with before his school even began. It was summer and my aunt and I went to the grocery. When we arrived and talking about stuff, I suddenly for the time stopped in my tracks as this awesome looking beautiful girl with red heave and round big love earrings passes us by. I was the first time in my life that I had gotten distracted like that. We continue our tracks. Over the next three years of hs we had our interactions. In the second grade till my 4th grade / graduation she even was my classmate. During the events of the second year we became friend and in the third year of hs, the crush that I had for her resurfaced due to our constant interactions. Before I got to tell however, somebody else did in the middle of the class in a loud manner. By this sudden revelation, she went off. I, however, fell my world crushing down and went home shortly after and fell into darkness. This however, cleared my head and my grades Skyrocketed. Years later, maybe now 15+, she still looks awesome and beautiful as ever. I saw her of her 30th on social media sometime ago.

There was some girl I really liked in High School, never really interacted with her but she was very sweet and beautiful. Then college came and she became a hateful person. While some people can change for the better, some people can change for the worse ☹️
There was a girl I met in driver's ed, she was 18, I was 16. We were both socially awkward, and just clicked, and shared the fear of telling the other our true feelings. Heck, we finished each other's sentences.
The last day of class, we were waiting for our rides. She leaned down to kiss me (yeah I was only 5'4" at the time) right as her dad pulled up. He screamed "Get the Hell away from my daughter!" and I never saw her again. She was a staunch Catholic and I was a Lutheran at the time. I'm now agnostic but that's besides the point.
After high school, I looked her up on Failbook, and I saw those deep brown eyes, her message wall was full of guys thanking her for "last night" and how great she was. I confirmed with friends that she was indeed loose and would do anyone.
22 years later and I still wonder what could have been.

Not sure how she ended there as it was a big time gap where I didnt know nothing about her, I for sure but would not been able to handle such a 180 if we where to be together all this time. Its cool for her, she seems happy with who she is now, but its like its not even the same person.
