When Robbie asks 'who would you sign?', it really made me think. Right now? I suppose DT's point, and the point of many fans, is that top class strikers were available at the beginning of the window. Arsenal could have gone in for Zlatan, Kevin Gameiro, Jese, Batshuayi, Higuain etc. Even now, if you're willing to take a risk, Gabriel Barbosa is highly-rated and available, Carlos Tevez is up for a move given West Ham's attempt to sign only collapsed over money, and you've even got the super high-risk strategy of Mario Balotelli. I suppose the main problem Arsenal fans have is that many of their rivals finished their transfer business by the beginning of pre-season, whereas Arsenal tend to buy the one big star right at the start, fail to address structural problems with the squad, and then Wenger complains there's no value in the market because all the other clubs have snapped up the elite targets.

Robby, let me say this. I am furious about the lack of effort by Wenger to get a striker. However, I am going to try to remain optimistic. But, Wenger is still out of touch. Look at this, he said that we have strikers in the likes of Akpom etc. His performance was superb in preseason. Then why is he trying to turn Sanchez into something that he is not, when he can play the youngster, let him get the experience and grow into the world class strike that we want by the end of this season. If we are not going to get a striker, that is my suggestion. Play Chuba Akpom
