Absolutely agree. 👍 Me in 45 years the same as a former gymnast. 😊 Now there are my 3 daughters (one of them has already won gold🥇 at the age of 10 on the asymmetrical parallels at the regionals) and my "little man" (another son) practicing this wonderful sport. What satisfaction!...😊🥰👍
Just turned 60 (2023) and have been watching gymnastics since I was in kid and I also have never seen someone so in tune with her performance. smh, She's a Rock Star, that's for sure!!!
Imagine being a student at ucla doing hella college classes, trying to make time for your friends and family, and also training in gymnastics every day
To me fair, although hard work, I’d say the training hours also count as friends- and spare time a bit ;) look at how they support each other. True passion.
I love watching Katelyn with that personality of hers as a college gymnast. She is an amazing athlete. I am very happy that she found enjoyment in the sport again and in a much healthier environment.
I love how supportive Katelyn teammates are in the background. They know her routine by heart and this is what katelyn needed. She had a chip on her shoulders when she came to UCLA, but with a supportive coach she was happy to be there!
The strength and gymnastics are a freaking captivating as hell, but beyond that, watching women support women like this is absolutely the fiercest force on the planet. The performances are MARVELOUS. The ferocity of support and love from the sidelines brings tears to my eyes. What a beautiful community they've built.

It's not adorable sass, it's just tacky hip grinding and thrusting more appropriate for a pole dance in a "gentleman's club" than a gymnastics floor routine on these. One can be flirty, perky, graceful and cute in a good routine, there's no need to be tacky like these are.
i absolutely LOVE how all of kaitlyns team mates were super supportive and encouraging her (even tho the crowd was doing a fantastic job at that) and was even doing some of the steps with her like the rhythm nation hand motions to the hair flips was super cool💕💕🥰

With an unfortunate Back injury that took her on a another path, respectably the College path, Katelyn Ohashi would have been a sure fire pick for the Olympics and a sure fire recipient of many Gold Medals, we are surely blessed to have had her grace us with her pure talent by continuing her collegiate career❤️🌹
Not really "unfortunate". Top level atheltics take a huge toll on the body and for every olympian there are dozens of permanently injured former high school hopefuls. Sports are healthy at a casual level but not when taken to extreme.
I only knew of Katelyn from a few you tube videos. Truly my lost, cause she was fantastic. Iam real sorry to hear that that she no longer competes. I would have loved to see her strive for Olympic gold.
I wondered why she didn’t strive to be an Olympian. Had no idea she was injured. She went thru hell with haters, so it was probably for the best. IMHO, she’s the best, even better than SB!

I like watching college gymnastics for the support the team gives the person dancing. It's so heart warming! I love that they all know the choreography. Katelyn Ohashi's routine just hit differently. I just watch a short biography on her fall from Olympian to college gymnast, and you can really see her enjoying her sport now. Beautiful. If she decides to go back to the Olympics, she will be reclaim her gold winning title reeeeal quick.
I have loved gymnastics since Cathy Rigby in the Olympics and then of course Olga Korbut won my heart as a little girl. I was a gymnast in school, the Olympics were everything to me. Fairly recently I have really gotten into collegiate gymnastics and WOW! It's so exciting now, the skill level is incredible and the enthusiasm is awesome! I agree that the teammates enthusiasm for each other's routines is infectious! Love it ❤
I always wanted to be apart of UCLA...however I was diagnosed with scoliosis about a year ago and had to stop gymnastics. The doctors told me that dance would be good for back. I returned to my old dance studio that I went to when I was 7. When I arrived I had forgotten everything about dance. And was very in flexible. It has been one year since I have returned...Now I am the most advanced dancer in my class and might even get to play the role of Clara in the Nutcracker this year.

Took over 5 years to find it all. Every room has a color theme and it's all about that color, nothing else. Its really turning out great. GOD HAS BLESSED OUR DESIRE. Every time I see them successfully stick a landing I'm relieved. They land so forcefully sometimes that I worry about sprained ankles or even fractures and dislocations
It is possible but the force alone won’t cause a bad injury to the ankles they would have to land wrong out of a pass for that to happen. It’s more likely for them to receive a knee injury with a forceful landing because they try no to take to many steps after landing to avoid getting points deducted so turning the leg the wrong way out of a landing can cause a serious knee injury. Tbh they most likely only get serious injuries outside of not landing a skill correctly if they are learning a new skill all together.
this makes me wanna start gymnastics again. the memories of all the teammates (most of them) being so positive and cheerful towards others. then there was those 2 who thought they were so much better. but learning a new skill and finally perfecting it and watching someone do it is so mesmerizing. it was honestly also just a fun sport to practice.
When she stepped outside the floor at 4:19 I literally gasped because that was such a good combo and it was so early in the routine ugh it just sucks cause she was doing so good.
I LOVE that these college girls do the floor routines along with the teammate who is actually competing. They spend so much time together they know each others' choreography. In the elites, you just don't see that. They hug the girl coming off the floor, but that's it. What a great environment to be in when in school.
I show videos like these to my 6 year old daughter to reinforce good body positivity and so she can see how strong women can be and what they achieve. These women are amazing and aspirational.
I wish Gymnastics could go back before the springs to see how truly strong these young ladies are. Simone Biles over jumps in nearly all of her routines with her strength. Too bad it's dangerous. Watching Nadia do her moves without springs and only momentum was truly graceful.

@@lnisme0295 funnily enough if springs had never been added. The amount of flips may be reduced. But Olympians would have to work harder. Let me tell you. Six inch springs vs mat is such a different ball park. I can nearly do a double back with springs (all be it not well) but on a solid mat? I'd be lucky to do a full floor routine of cartwheels and simple flips. It is incredibly hard.

The tight, thick, muscular ladies have a lot more muscle to bounce and strength to push up and out. Their legs are super strong. Look a Simone Biles. She has a perfect gymnasts' body.
I love how they actually dance and have fun. Pure joy mixed with badassery! And it’s a testament to their coach fostering their creative expression and bringing out the best in them.

I only exercise to keep fit. Not to be a gymnast or body builder. Katelyns routines are mesmerising. She is one of a kind with so much talent and amazes all her audiences with skill and technique
This is absolutely beautiful 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. All of these gymnasts were absolutely amazing and are highly skilled. I know they worked hard to be able to execute such movements this beautifully and gracefully. I scared my cats several times while watching because I had to clap so many times 🤣. Seriously, every performance had me captivated. My hands clapped on their own because my mind was so impressed 💐💐💐

Everytime katelyns routine comes up in my algorithm I have to watch it because she’s not only a gymnast but a dancer. You aren’t just waiting for the tumbling passes like with many gymnastic performances youre enthralled in the whole thing
What I really love watching these vids was the teammates also dancing with their friend’s routine. You just know they practice and train so hard together! This might be an individual sport but that’s how teamwork shows here.
Some sensational parts in these performances.Touching and motivating to see the support some of these gymnasts are getting from the sidelines.Some of these athletes are so good it’s like an optical illusion.
Katelyn Ohashi is just so amazing, then I remember how easy college gymnastics must be for her since she used to be LITERALLY a top gymnast on Simone’s level

I always wanted to be apart of UCLA...however I was diagnosed with scoliosis about a year ago and had to stop gymnastics. The doctors told me that dance would be good for back. I returned to my old dance studio that I went to when I was 7. When I arrived I had forgotten everything about dance. And was very in flexible. It has been one year since I have returned...Now I am the most advanced dancer in my class and might even get to play the role of Clara in the Nutcracker this year.
Way to go! You get that role and show it off! :)

I don't know how much you know of her story but I did some research (cause I too respect such hard work and dedication to talent) and wow. She is one remarkable young lady. I have 2 daughter's now in their 20s whole always hated their thicker than Hollywood glamour approved thighs and often struggled with insecurity about it. I am working on a home remodel that doesn't need to be remodeled, lol...so for five me if I can't watch anything you send tonight. Contractors will be here in the morning and lots to move out of the rooms! Yeah, I'm a bit late! Between family, friend and ministry situations...I had no time to prepare before they arrived. Yikes, it's so late and I'm packing up a room. Haha.
My desire was to make EVERY room in our home extra special and its happening! Lots of people are saying, it's nice, it doesn't need to be done. However, it's our home and it's our choice. So, yeah, purple kitchen! LOL! Changed oak kitchen to medium gray cabinets and all small appliances are PURPLE! Including dishes, platters, bowls, crock pot, toaster, tea kettle, canisters, can opener, cutting boards, candles...baskets, bins and much more...like about 300 items! LOL. Took over 5 years to find it all. Every room has a color theme and it's all about that color, nothing else. Its really turning out great. GOD HAS BLESSED OUR DESIRE. Ok, going to pack another box so when the contractors arrive, they will be like... they are SO put together! (Haha) God bless. I will try to drop by before I go to sleep, if not I will tomorrow. Every time I see them successfully stick a landing I'm relieved. They land so forcefully sometimes that I worry about sprained ankles or even fractures and dislocations
They're basically on a trampoline. I doubt it's possible to hurt a foot like that on floor.
It is possible but the force alone won’t cause a bad injury to the ankles they would have to land wrong out of a pass for that to happen. It’s more likely for them to receive a knee injury with a forceful landing because they try no to take to many steps after landing to avoid getting points deducted so turning the leg the wrong way out of a landing can cause a serious knee injury. Tbh they most likely only get serious injuries outside of not landing a skill correctly if they are learning a new skill all together.
Don't watch skateboarding then, especially anything with Jaws in it.

this makes me wanna start gymnastics again. the memories of all the teammates (most of them) being so positive and cheerful towards others. then there was those 2 who thought they were so much better. but learning a new skill and finally perfecting it and watching someone do it is so mesmerizing. it was honestly also just a fun sport to practice.

I LOVE that these college girls do the floor routines along with the teammate who is actually competing. They spend so much time together they know each others' choreography. In the elites, you just don't see that. They hug the girl coming off the floor, but that's it. What a great environment to be in when in school.

I show videos like these to my 6 year old daughter to reinforce good body positivity and so she can see how strong women can be and what they achieve. These women are amazing and aspirational.

Simone Biles has so much force that she comes down hard and hops at the end in every routine I've seen her do. That's a strong young lady!
I wish Gymnastics could go back before the springs to see how truly strong these young ladies are. Simone Biles over jumps in nearly all of her routines with her strength. Too bad it's dangerous. Watching Nadia do her moves without springs and only momentum was truly graceful.

@@lnisme0295 funnily enough if springs had never been added. The amount of flips may be reduced. But Olympians would have to work harder. Let me tell you. Six inch springs vs mat is such a different ball park. I can nearly do a double back with springs (all be it not well) but on a solid mat? I'd be lucky to do a full floor routine of cartwheels and simple flips. It is incredibly hard.

Everytime katelyns routine comes up in my algorithm I have to watch it because she’s not only a gymnast but a dancer. You aren’t just waiting for the tumbling passes like with many gymnastic performances youre enthralled in the whole thing
What I really love watching these vids was the teammates also dancing with their friend’s routine. You just know they practice and train so hard together! This might be an individual sport but that’s how teamwork shows here.
They all looked so confident and happy!
