Almost had 3 dudes make their second final table in the same year. Insane.
If say ruane did 10th is the FT
Even crazier since Salas won the main event in 2020
These commentators are my idols!
They were until PokerGo got involved 😢
Hesp knocking out Pisani is absolutely hilarious
Ruane gettin mad at his “friend” for calling with TT at the end lol his face is like what I got tens how can I fold!? What do you want me to do!? Love it, no friends at the poker table
John Hesp and Darvin Moon. Two heroes of WSOP for me...
Same here, they just played for fun and mashed up some of the gto pros.
1:09:20 Yeah, amazing player...
@@breakit46 Fun when you have constant dumb luck
@@sweetpeagrayble5858 pure luck was only part of it.
He bluffed loads, he showed many hands after winning, he made the nitty thinkers look stupid drama queens, cool
Totally agree. Whenever I re-watch this, I hope they win/won... ;) I hate that titman kept strining Heps along, only to "backstap" him whenever he could. I know I know its the final table any tricks goes, but all the pleading about showing his hand, and not one time did Titman show his. Like Michael Miss-Rachi.
Bring back this format asap
Finally they have the AK vs 10s had on utube 2:48:00
20:39 i love this man
I am enjoying watching John Hesp for a second time, I appreciate his win a pot and show style. What he did is extra special indeed. GG John, GG. This is a deluxe episode PokerGo, thanks
1:08:50 I didn't think anyone could be as dumb as him. But you must be very close.
@@sicmic excuse me? Check your privilege doosha.
Hesp looking quite dapper in that Hat
Love the idea of calling the clock constantly:)
man sauot has taken some rough beats over his poker career
it is very bad that Lamb cud not get a count of his opponents stack.
He can count. The chips were in the open 3 seats away.
@@blakethornsbrough1528 I doubt it. Even I would need to zoom in with the camera to see how many of each color chip he has.
No, it’s not, it’s been the rule for ages. Players aren’t required to give you an exact count of their stack, all they have to do is give you a clear view, which Ruane did. It’s actually a bit surprised a pro with Lamb’s experience doesn’t know that.
@@Kanders190 Pretty sure Lamb did not break any rule here, he was pointing out the problem of not being able to determine how many chips his opponent had.
I remember Bonomo called out Cary katz before when he kept switching his stack of chips from 28 to 40 to 20 in a high roller tournament prior.
Dont be surprised if similar incidents occur in the future.
@@seekerytomfain194 Never said Lamb broke a rule, he can ask all he wants, but the rules specifically state a player is not required to give a count of their stack. So for him to ask the player, then then dealer, then the floor like this rule is news to him is a bit weird.
Imagine the inverse. Imagine a player like Kassouf or Kabrhel asking you for your chip count and every time you have to give them the exact count. Nope, “about 25k” won’t suffice. You need to count down all 25,825 exactly. Then the next hand, they can ask again. It would slow down a game that is already running into issues with slow play.
It’s not perfect, but it’s 100% better than the alternative.
that JJ river check back has given me brain aneurysm.
He made plenty of bonehead plays like that one.
That river check with JJ has to be one of the worst plays i have ever seen
Pretty much all of his hands were utterly terrible
I came down to the comments specifically to see if anyone mentioned this.
@@nicholassummervill8584 Yeah, because only players of your highly esteemed skill should show up right?
@@shadowdawg04 That you're defending that moron says everything about how you play.
Time stamp?
Hesp is borderline genius here. You should never ever show cards. Ever. But for him it works. It's been fun watching these last few videos.
You can’t say never ever show your cards and then in the next sentence explain how it worked for someone.
I disagree you always show a bluff and always show the nuts that way they know you are capable of bluffing but you could also have the nuts
Don't show. Period
I feel like.. if you know that someone is almost on tilt, specifically because of a hand you were in with them previously, showing let's say, a bluff to them in a winning put you just took... can for the psychological part, put you on top, even if practically it doesn't put you on top. If that makes sense
@@user-je6xu9em8f You are only right in theory because you give information away but you can put but in practice at a human table without robots you can affect players in a benefital way doing it at the right time.
Amo la serie mundial de poker
Let go of my hand... lol
37:04! I feel your pain. I got knocked out at a final table for the biggest cash of my life in 8th place. I had Qs! Dude shoved all in preflop on the small blind with A9! He hit an Ace on the turn 😂
So he made the right play, but still got lucky to win a 65-35 dog race. Tough beat. But if you are like me you were also thinking back of all the hands that could have went wrong to not allow you to final table ☝️
They're using a picture of Ruane from what looks like 70 pounds ago
Hesp'n Jorstad
20:55 wow how not to play 44's
Hesp is so much fun to watch
Edit: ooooof that ending is hard to watch. Can't blame the guy but you just know he knew their friendship might be over with that one. Not every day you take potentially millions of $ out of your friend's pocket (and definitely hundreds of thousands of $ at least)
There's always a chance in a tournament, even this big, that you end up taking someone you know or respect out.. the person that gets taken out just has to know it's not personal and everyone wants to win
If the friendship ends because of a normal play it isn't worth much. I mean he went all in without any betting, he was out for a flip call anyway when the blinds get so big.
They were both running low you don't have many more hands to find a better situation. The caller had only 19 bb left...
He definitely did. He was tight that his boy booted him lol
2:50:29 Clearly they had an arrangement. These two went to “Burning Man” together.
I remember seeing groups of young people teaming up on players like Hesp in the early 2000’s.
Ruane to Piccioli, “You could have folded that!”
Piccioli couldn’t hardly look at Ruane. He looked like a remorseful dog that bit his owner. Even before going all in, you could tell Piccioli was emotionally conflicted.
It was terrible, Piccioli just HAD to gamble on what he had to assume was at best a coin-flip :P With friends like that...
Yeah but from what I gathered they weren’t going to gun for each other…buddy clearly got greedy thinking he could win the WSOP when he was probably the worst player at the table LOL 😂 idk I’m not knocking my best friend outta the WSOP on the final table bubble with a middle pocket pair that’s at best a flip
2:21:35 lllllllleeeeeeeeetttttttssssss gggggoooooooooooooo lllllllleeeeeeeeetttttttssssss gggggoooooooooooooo love that hand.
That second to last hand was the dirtiest thing I've ever seen
I'm proud of John hesp , common do it for 60thss
Salas - secretly Daniel Craig!
1:09:49 checks back practically the nuts
Hesp is one big CS...
Anyone know if Ruane has washed his hair since then?
Ruan acted like a baby when he got knocked out.
Big baby
It wasn't that bad. He kinda always has a cranky look on his face. He gave Piccioli a hug and they're apparently still friends. I can only imagine the disappointment busting out in 10th (especially in his situation, trying to make it to the final table 2 years in a row).
He was a baby when he got eliminated in 2016 too
Been hoping utube would show this hand and finally they do, what was bad was pickacho saying "it's my year this year"
Pisane almost broke down when he got knocked out by hesp in the QQ vs A9 hand. To be fair Hesp sounds like a leprechaun that found a pot of gold every time he yelled yes as he sucked out on him. You can hear Pisane angrily tell Hesp to let go of his hand as he tried to walk away.
lamb talking about j7 was reason why piccoli called that bro wtf
34:00 Hesps Grand kids just dosowned him.
Low class move when Sarkisyan called the clock. It had only been 2 minutes and that was a big pot. It was a nice bit of karma when he busted out next.
pisane played those 44 awfully. when hesp raises , he normally has a hand
Ruan is a bad looser
a dead corpse moves faster than salas..new wsop rule, you cant act like a salas
I dont understand why you would call any shove with 22. The hand is a shove, but never a call. You're always flipping or dominated.
I dunno how Blumstein played in other days, I just feel like he just played bingo preflop.
KJ and A2 all-in preflop.... oh i thought he was bluffing... Ha
Plays how he looks?
i didnt remember ruanne acting like a toddler... surprising
On the Sinclair v saout flopped straight v boat hand the clock was called after one minute 15 seconds and no minute given... Straight to ten second countdown. That was a big hand too. 32 million chips... Ten million more POSSIBLY. Well karma came soon after
LAMB LOOKS LIKE SELBST
Hesp is so bad i love it
Once again..... they prove poker is luck.....bumstein is awful
HESP plays so bad... chek with trips lol
1 hour of poker, 2 hours of adverts and 2 idiots talking rubbish
Hesp was genuinely fun and enjoyable to watch. Mickey Craft was nowhere near as lovable or funny. I found him grating and annoying. So glad he didn’t make a super deep run like Hesp did
About time, do better.
