The teams in the LCK are playing fewer games before playoffs overall though (used to be 18 games per split (36 total) but now they're playing 18 + (4x3) = 30 total series instead of the previous 36, so they end up saving a bit of time in summer since it's shorter, which I think allows for the longer playoffs.
Yeah it basically means bo3's will end 3 weeks earlier in summer so it is pretty much same amount of time. Also there is no regionals so it might be possible for it to end even earlier than before.
@@brunobatista5483 Yeah but each team only plays 12 games whereas previously they would have all played 18 games in Summer, so overall the whole thing is shorter, and of course the playoff is then longer.
@@brunobatista5483 Each individual team will play 4 other teams 3 times, so that's 12 matches. As a whole, there will be 60 Bo3s in the summer season (30 in each group).
The LCK format seems so much better than LEC. The R3-5 basically guarantees that there aren't as many foregone conclusion stomps. We don't need 2 series of GenG or T1 vs Bro or NS. It also increases the number of close matches, because each team will have 1 more match against a competitive team too. I imagine it's more fun for fans of lower ranked teams too because they don't have to watch them get clobbered so much
It also makes spring super important and summer barely matter for the top teams. The difference between 5th place and 6th place is huge, but once you are in that top 5 you are pretty solid as long as you aren't exactly 5th. People are gonna enjoy seeing the top teams play vs each other more, but the games will be fairly low stakes.
The way LCK's group stage selection works is as follows: HLE chooses a team for their group, then GenG chooses another team. After that, the team that HLE chose chooses another team to be in their group, and then the team chosen by GenG. And then those teams pick and so on. The top 2 spots from the previous season DON'T CHOOSE ALL THE TEAMS, they only choose the first ones and each chosen team picks the next one until the last 2 teams are chosen. It's going to be sort of fun because the teams need to choose teams that match well against what teams the other group chose. It's an interesting format, but also a weird one. Considering it's LCK though, they most likely choose the teams in order of placement, just like they do with Team All Pro votes, but whatever
the extended lck split sounds so good. sally pointed out the biggest issue with the lec change being orgs all-inning for summer. the protracted lck split solves that by making the teams who are good the whole year qualify for worlds (while removing championship points)
The LCK Cup is probably the best thing that has happened to league sincr many years. Reminds me of when I was a child and we had 2 captains who selected the members of their team
Hmm I personally don’t really like it due to the way they select top 3 from winner group guaranteed for playoff. You can win every games but still go to loser group cause the other 4 teams are too heavy to carry.
@@oreoyo5639 But hear me out, they select the teams before a single match has been played, like the year just started with all the new rosters and stuff. It is still a massive gamble, you don't know how the team chemistry works for each team or what form they're in. I think it's gonna bang!
@@oreoyo5639 It honestly would be a problem except that it's considered just an LCK cup and not a title. It is an all or nothing tournament and if you are the best or a top 3 team then it won't matter since you should make it to the Playoffs anyways.
Geng and HLE dont pick all of the teams, they just pick the first teams they want to have. Those teams they have chosen then chose the next team and so on
Imagine GenG losing their matches, but still directly advance to Round2 of Playoffs just because their group does better. Or vice versa, 5th seed of a group wins all their matches but because they're in the overall weaker group get eliminated despite winning everything. Complete nonsense.
New LCK format goes so fucking hard holy shit - Korea maintaining the fact that its going to be a full decade ahead of the rest of the industry an i fkn love it
@ you can’t expect all veiwership to be the eastern numbers, but by not matching the eastern teams in preparation, you’re still sending teams to international play at a disadvantage. Would it change that much? Probably not, because they’re inferior players in the west; however, they’re cooked from the drop with LCK being that competitive for their entirety of their year. Those 3rd and 4th LCK teams at worlds are going to hardened by fire.
"spring" is technically just old lck format without a grand finals , remember when skt was at the bottom of the king of the hill and they still won the finals vs griffin
idk if its correct but I counted 120 total matches alone just in the R3-R5 part of the year, since its triple round-robin with 5 teams each in two groups and even the middle guys in that ladder need to go thru play ins so thats like a couple 3-4 more matches like holy hell
well with this set up it means there will be no more regional qualifiers so that means it shouldnt be that much more for summer and spring is just almost the same, only difference is probably the lower teams gets to play more now... I actually think if you look at it per team should have lesser games in summer since double round robin with 10 teams is like 18 matches while triple round robin with 5 teams is only like 12 matches... but yeah with winter/lck cup and new international it will be more total for the year
@@lxnrdagr8In R3-R5, each team will play a total of 12 series with 4 other teams in the same group. Each series contains two teams, so there will be 60 series in total for 10 LCK teams.
IMO I don't see an issue with fearless draft continuing into game 5 The game has over 160 champions so building a comp from the remining 110+ champs should not be a problem for pro players and it would be fun to watch champs that you don't usually get to see in competitive play I think it adds another layer to the game and forces players to think ahead when drafting vs falling back on the same 10-15 champs every game
So, you're saying fearless draft exist where prime Faker could be more of a monster than he is right now because of the fact that his champion pool way back then is pretty much the entire League champions?

feels like there should be some reward for MSI winner to have a higher chance getting into worlds. Maybe not a guaranteed spot out of the three available, but something that makes it easier to get one of those spots
It is like that. I don't think they will change it next year. Winner of MSI guarenteed a spot at worlds, if they made playoffs. It is not likely that the MSI winner falls of that hard to miss playoffs. 2nd best performing region got a 4th seed at worlds. At least it was like this this year, likely these will be there next year too, and they will adjust it to each regions format during summer for the winner of MSI.
LCK new format is way too brutal and unforgiving... especially for late bloomers. As you mentioned, if Team Z end spring at 6th place, crawled their way to MSI and won MSI. Their start in summer will still be 🤕.
im not sure but i think if you win in that round to qualify to msi your seed increases like if you win first round you are 5th and the other team is 6th or something like that and if you win next you are 4th and the other team is 5th and so on
I like this format. imagine if you are 9th at R1-2, you can still go Msi and Worlds. this format is really generous for weaker teams and brutal for stronger teams like Geng
tbf if you do place 5th your probably going to be in the exact same situation as the 6th place team since it's very unlikely a 5th place team will suddenly win against the top 4 so they both will have to play the same play ins and playoffs.
@@TBNRnoob14it's impact the quality of the match. Thus, the team development itself. You can see how bad is Fly when playing against low level teams, e.g. TL. But they're managed to improve so much when playing against HLE and GenG.

Like imagine. youre 6th, like he said, you go through 5th team, 4th, 3rd, and 2nd team just to get into MSi. then after you get back from MSI, yuore not even in the top 5 teams, youre in the lower 5 teams and you gotta do a triple round robin, and even if you get first in your group, youre only in playins (not playoffs). and after that, you gotta do more BO5 just to be in the play offs, then after that, you gotta then beat the other teams which you probably havent had much matches with cause they were in a different group, and just getting into Worlds will be so fking hard cause you gotta beat the top 5 teams like T1, GENG, HLE, KT, DK just to get a spot in Worlds (but if LCK doesnt get a spot from MSI), only 3 teams will go and being 4th will mean absolutely nothing cause there is no spot for 4th.
i think if you win in that round where you go through 5th,4th,3rd,2nd you become 2nd like every win increases your seed like if you are 6th and you win first round you are 5th then if you win 4th and then if you win 3rd and then if you get to msi you become second so you are in the legend group and also who loses is downgraded one seed

If you can beat all 5th, 4th, 3rd and 2nd team, you probably wouldn’t be placed at 6th… it’s such a low possibility for that to happen. And if a team is able to somehow pull off this miracle run for a MSI spot, they’ll just have to do the miracle run again for the world spot, which is even easier for a 4 spots region.
@@thefool7256I think it will depend on if they will consider their place during the Playoffs. for the 6th place thing. if they don’t, that’s just really tough, but if they do, i think it’s for the better
In the 2025 LCK season, each team plays a minimum of 26 Best of 3 (Bo3) and 2 Best of 5 (Bo5) matches. At maximum, they may play up to 26 Bo3 and 7 Bo5 matches if they progress through every round. For a team reaching the playoffs through the Loser's bracket and advancing in the LCK Cup, the maximum total is 51 individual games (26 Bo3 and 25 Bo5 games). In an ideal run, a team reaching the finals directly would play around 40 games.
27:20 Maybe if you are in the rise group and qualify for MSI you should get switched with the bottom place team in Legend group, I think that would make it a bit more fair
Both LEC Summer and LCK Cup are set up so that the middle of the pack get extra stage games. It can often be an advantage just to have more games, and in previous LEC formats at least, it was often the top teams that got more stage time. It will be interesting if this results in a tighter pack of teams, skill-wise.
The new LCK format is more meaningful and bonded to each other while The new LEC format is Just 3 different splits to qualify to different internationals😂😂😂
The new summer format of LCK actually introduces less games, even though it's triple round-robin: - 1 team has to play 4 other teams in their group 3 times => 4 x 3 = 12 => each team has to play 12 BO3s - Since there 10 teams in the LCK => 10 x 12 = 120 BO3s Where as if you consider the usual double round-robin format prior to this: - 1 team has to play 9 other teams 2 times => 9 x 2 = 18 => each team plays 18 BO3s - 10 teams so that means there are 180 BO3s total So the new format reduces 60 BO3s compare to the old one.
I like LCk so much more than LEC. You should be rewarded for doing well in Spring. It is almost to your detriment to go to MSI in the LEC format because you end up “hungover” in the split that actually matters with no help from the prior split.
This means best teams will have to earn being top 6. Top 4, LEC needs to evolve imagine G2 with this format this year more changes of beating BLG. G2 needs to prove they can adapt,
It hope its hard fearless and without reset in game 5. I really want to see player get more diverse and teams get more creative for their team comps. I wanna see them go DEEP in the tank
The seedings after "spring" are not the regular seedings they are after the playoffs for msi so first place regular can just be first if they win or second/third depending if they lose 1 or 2 times and Place 6 regular season can still go to legend group
Since the triple Bo3 RR is within the smaller group, they don't play more games than a double RR with all 10 teams, but it's still a whole lotta games - especially the following play-ins and POs Bo5.
Lck round 4-5 to me has the motto of "iron sharpens iron". My bjj coach used to say a black belt learns nothing destroying a white belt, and a white belt learns nothing by getting destroyed by a black belt, neither person gains any experience. Pick a similar skilled person for practice because iron sharpens iron. Very same for pro sports. Gen g gain nothing from stomping bro, amd bro cant learn anything. This way allows the top teams to constantly face the best in preperation for playoffs and eventually worlds, and the bottom 5 teams get time to actually improve by versing simmilar skilled opponents and not just stomped for multiple weeks straight.
“LCK summer” format is quite cool. The league basically splits into 2 leagues in summer (like pro and challengers). There will almost be no stomps in summer at all. Also, it makes spring split so much more important. If you finish top 5 in spring, you almost guarantee a spot in summer play-offs. The legend group games will be insane.
LCK format means more LCK revenue, more competitive games, more headliner games but less giant killing chances, BRO rolling GENG, NS taking their mandatory game against T1 etc. Hope these lower teams are still alright financially with less marquee games.
New LCK format is interesting, I understand it, but it's somewhat unnecessarily complicated. The LCK cup with a "teams" format is really interesting. Someone will have to do the maths, but I don't think the LCK "Summer" split will have many more games, if at all. Triple round robin sounds like an insane lot, but there are only five teams in each group, that means you are fighting four teams three times, which is only 12 matches. When it was 10 teams in double round robin, you fight nine teams twice, which is 18 matches, so the "group" part is actually less matches. Play ins, groups, etc, I've not worked it out, but I think it's slightly more overall, however, that will compensate the reduced matches in the "group" stage. Fearless draft will be a nice introduction. I think it will be even more interesting that if it goes to game 5, not only is the pool reset, but it becomes Blind Pick. It would be a good experiment to do in the first year, since this is clearly experimental. Good to bring up EWC, because based on T1's performance in Summer AFTER they came back from EWC (they were doing OK before it) I already concluded EWC will end up like IEM with no decent team wanting to participate. These new formats accelerated that and I'm almost certain League of Legends in EWC is officially dead, with these changes being the last few nails. Like IEM, EWC was held mid-season, so teams were taking a break during their domestic summer season to participate, and despite only being four days (if you reach finals) the toll is really high as we saw with T1. No decent team will participate since the stakes of "Summer" is just insane and the slightest underperformance will be game over for the year, so everyone will abandon EWC to focus on "Summer" just like they abandoned IEM to focus on "Spring." $400000 prize money for the winner sounds like a lot, and it a lot for the average peasant, but compared to winning Worlds, the reward is incomparable.
at 26:40, think he meant spring, the competition before MSI. 6th place in "spring" and then come back as 6th in 'Rise Group' during Summer even if they win MSI in hindsight, o7 T1. I don't think they can breathe next year with this format. here comes pobymygoat xdd
He's not wrong about the amount of matches in the LCK Summer, I'm not sure why the LEC has a different amount of matches. I thought the LEC kept this Groups thing cause there was lesser time in Summer, but the LCK has an INSANE number of matches in the same time.
LCK format looks insanely cool, to have a big championship at the beginning of the year and then making the LCK main event one big thing looks so cool, and jesus christ, this is A LOT of games.
14:40 I think this is going to lead to some interesting results since say Team E is absolutely terrible and is actually last, if teams A G F carry their group then team E still gets to go to the next round and team J gets eliminated instead of them
An upper bracket team can still qualify for worlds by losing two Best-Of 5s, hence dominating Best-Of 3s is enough when your region gets 1st or 2nd at MSI (most likely LCK/LPL)
I generally the Fearless Draft change. I hope we see more of it in 2026. I'm just worried about game quality really going downhill with teams not picking their best champions anymore, especially in the early days of Fearless Draft, when teams have less experience on how to deal with that. LCK will probably be fine, but LEC 2024 was a complete shitshow, what is it supposed to be with Fearless Draft enabled?
One thing I noticed about the LCK format is the teams in the Legend group do not play against any teams in the Rise group. So the top 5 teams are playing against each other (in the Legends group) and the bottom 5 teams are playing against each other (in the Rise group) and only get to meet in the playins&playoffs. I could see that this might create a big gap in skill between the bottom 5 and top 5 teams
That's my worry as well, but I think the higher stakes on the rise group forces them to, idk, play better ig because of the threat of elimination for 2 teams. That might also put them on an advantage vs the 5th seed on the legends grp as they know more about what weaknesses that team has due to them being 5th seed and all. I kinda like it ig, Legends grp being high quality gameplay and Rise grp being higher stakes gameplay. It would then be satisfying to see one or two from the rise grp eliminating teams from the legends grp in the playoffs and maybe even qualifying for worlds. That's why they are in the 'Rise' grp I guess.
26:20 The thing is if u qualify for MSI and win MSI as 6th seed in spring split then it doesn’t matter that ur in the rise group cuz u have guaranteed worlds qualification But supposing u get 6th in spring and qualify for MSI and don’t win MSI then ur kinda pegged
So for LCK - Gen G and Hanwha can set up the teams under them for a win or a lose in the cup, depending on their choices, and other teams can do so too, this will be fun. Both groups will have to strategize and place the teams in their group in a way to have the best chance at winning against their matching opponent from other group, as it's the whole group's best interest to have be the winning group :D
The importance of Spring Placement is way to high in the LCK. And Summer Triple Round Robin in the Legend Group has so little impact because top4 go to playoffs directly anyway. It's 12 Bo3 just to skip one Bo5 in PlayOffs, since this is the difference between being first, second, third or fourth. It's only about not being fifth basically. In PlayIns it might be better to lose on purpose in one of the later games, if the 3rd seed from the legend group feels easier than the 4th. Being able to pick your opponent for the higher seeded Teams was the better choice and this is a downgrade to last year overall.
Top 1-2 is pretty important no? And being 5th means you still have a chance of not qualifying for the playoffs given that you haven't played against the other 3 on the rise grp as well. But yeah, the games aren't as high stakes as the rise grp, but I think they're really trying to determine who deserves the top seeds and the quality of matches are high, and even if there isn't any bo5, it's like a bo3 of bo3s in a way. Given all that, it would be funny if they somehow dominated the legends grp and got eliminated in the playoffs come bo5s LMAO. A great LCK R1-5 and your season just ends not qualifying to worlds by losing two bo5s LOLLL
Those lck cup format seems very promising. Fans of popular teams will come begging for less popular alliance teams to win. I already sense some meme-worthy moments. Exciting format, and winter season is a nice place to put this fun format. And the LCK becoming a whole year's worth of career and not being divided into summer and spring seems nice too. Teams being separated into legend and rise group means closer games, with less of hopeless and unentertaining games. Your team's performance will have consequences throughout the year, and even if they slip, they can still technically crawl back, even though it will be grinding. Can't wait!
Wooow I am really really interested in LCK cup it feels like sports captain draft match where You have 2 teams (groups) of 5 players (teams) thats super cool. Thanks for the rundown.
It also has a strategy in it for the 3rd/4th teams for each group to pick weaker or the weakest teams to ensure that they get more wins than them if they know their group is going to win overall.
Fearless draft is what I always wanted to see in major tournaments. Easily solve small champion pool being used in every tournament and makes matches even more interesting.
Anyone wondering how LCK will fit all this in, currently LCK plays 90 Bo3s in a season, which they will still do in Spring. The new Summer split is going to be 60 Bo3s, meaning they're removing 3 weeks worth of games from their summer split to fit in an extra set of Bo5s.
It's just an easy way to test 3 formats in 1 year and then they will probably take the one that got the best reception and continue with that one instead of testing a new format every year for 3 years
Either way there has to be two different formats minimum, because the time periods before the new international and MSI are significantly shorter than between MSI and Worlds.
Lck format looks insane but theres potential there in developing the weaker teams since everyone should be matched againist opponents on closer level cos of the rising group and it also helps to gradually develop them through play ins n play off if they have the potential for it Even though the 1st seed team has an easier route This way of doing it will most likely make the 2nd seed team actl way more terrifying due to the amount of practice they get

there are legit so many cool players to support there man don't limit yourself to just GenG
LCK teams will have the most stressfull year of their life, and LCK enjoyers will be eating good
The teams in the LCK are playing fewer games before playoffs overall though (used to be 18 games per split (36 total) but now they're playing 18 + (4x3) = 30 total series instead of the previous 36, so they end up saving a bit of time in summer since it's shorter, which I think allows for the longer playoffs.
Yeah it basically means bo3's will end 3 weeks earlier in summer so it is pretty much same amount of time. Also there is no regionals so it might be possible for it to end even earlier than before.
If you are talking about R3-5 it's not only 4x3, it's (4x3)x2 because both groups will play in a triple round robin

I imagine it's more fun for fans of lower ranked teams too because they don't have to watch them get clobbered so much
The problem is though it is soo many games Koreans we need mechanical wrists to survive xd.
Ironic considering T1 lost to Nongshim in summer.
@@nicholascurbelo5308yea t1 lost to NS then go to WORLDS stomp everyone 🗿 HAHAHH
@@skelet8337 Not many more than other years. It's also statistically more improbable to actually reach the max number of games.
Draft within a draft
the extended lck split sounds so good. sally pointed out the biggest issue with the lec change being orgs all-inning for summer. the protracted lck split solves that by making the teams who are good the whole year qualify for worlds (while removing championship points)
New LCK format goes so fucking hard holy shit - Korea maintaining the fact that its going to be a full decade ahead of the rest of the industry an i fkn love it
I really wish every region had to follow the same format. I really don’t want to figure out where every different region is in their split.
Can’t. Different viewership, competition, etc.
@@EveryTimeIDavid the simplest point is they don’t have enough capital/viewership to support such lengthy tourney like lck

The LCK cup format is pretty awesome
"spring" is technically just old lck format without a grand finals , remember when skt was at the bottom of the king of the hill and they still won the finals vs griffin
lck 2019 summer playoffs
So did anyone count how matches they are throughout all the LCK seasons?
Feels like heaven for the viewers but hell for the players.
Without playoffs, it's 55 series per team
idk if its correct but I counted 120 total matches alone just in the R3-R5 part of the year, since its triple round-robin with 5 teams each in two groups and even the middle guys in that ladder need to go thru play ins so thats like a couple 3-4 more matches like holy hell
well with this set up it means there will be no more regional qualifiers so that means it shouldnt be that much more for summer and spring is just almost the same, only difference is probably the lower teams gets to play more now... I actually think if you look at it per team should have lesser games in summer since double round robin with 10 teams is like 18 matches while triple round robin with 5 teams is only like 12 matches... but yeah with winter/lck cup and new international it will be more total for the year
I was incorrect. counted the LCK cup wrong. It's 35 series per team. LCK cup has 25 games in total. Each team plays 5.
@@lxnrdagr8In R3-R5, each team will play a total of 12 series with 4 other teams in the same group. Each series contains two teams, so there will be 60 series in total for 10 LCK teams.
The LCK Cup format is great, they're always cooking
LCK new format looks chaotic and super fun, so many games. This year is going to be peak
IMO I don't see an issue with fearless draft continuing into game 5
The game has over 160 champions so building a comp from the remining 110+ champs should not be a problem for pro players and it would be fun to watch champs that you don't usually get to see in competitive play
I think it adds another layer to the game and forces players to think ahead when drafting vs falling back on the same 10-15 champs every game
So, you're saying fearless draft exist where prime Faker could be more of a monster than he is right now because of the fact that his champion pool way back then is pretty much the entire League champions?
Bro that LCK format is brutal and I’m here for it, it sounds super exciting to watch

feels like there should be some reward for MSI winner to have a higher chance getting into worlds.
MSI winner will get a forth seed for their region too
LCK new format is way too brutal and unforgiving... especially for late bloomers.
As you mentioned, if Team Z end spring at 6th place, crawled their way to MSI and won MSI.
Their start in summer will still be 🤕.
im not sure but i think if you win in that round to qualify to msi your seed increases like if you win first round you are 5th and the other team is 6th or something like that and if you win next you are 4th and the other team is 5th and so on
I think they should've give the MSI 2nd seed a guaranteed legend group spot if they're not in top 5.
I like this format. imagine if you are 9th at R1-2, you can still go Msi and Worlds. this format is really generous for weaker teams and brutal for stronger teams like Geng
@@andresjeong1460 You need to be at least 6th to qualify for the gauntlet.
Love the changes in the formats in general. The difference in LCK spring placing 5th or 6th is insanely punishing due to the 2 summer groups though…

23:16 Triple Round Robin = 30 games per group (so 60 games total)
It's gonna be amazing for LCK viewers, But i wonder how the 6th place team will feel like.

LCK format looks so insanely fun to watch, somewhat complicated but so well tought-out
In the 2025 LCK season, each team plays a minimum of 26 Best of 3 (Bo3) and 2 Best of 5 (Bo5) matches.
You’re incorrect. By just counting R1-R2 and R3-R5, each team will have to play 18+12 Bo3 series, which is 30 in total.
Godspeed to the editors in the future with the amount of games rat king is gonna have to watch with the LCK format changes o7

27:20 Maybe if you are in the rise group and qualify for MSI you should get switched with the bottom place team in Legend group, I think that would make it a bit more fair
LCK format changes are my favorite. Such unique style for winter FD while giving high amount of Bo3.
ALL THE LCK CHANGES ARE HYPE WHAT
That'll be EXHAUSTING for the lck teams damn
The new summer format of LCK actually introduces less games, even though it's triple round-robin:
- 1 team has to play 4 other teams in their group 3 times => 4 x 3 = 12 => each team has to play 12 BO3s
- Since there 10 teams in the LCK => 10 x 12 = 120 BO3s
Where as if you consider the usual double round-robin format prior to this:
- 1 team has to play 9 other teams 2 times => 9 x 2 = 18 => each team plays 18 BO3s
- 10 teams so that means there are 180 BO3s total
So the new format reduces 60 BO3s compare to the old one.
I wanna see them go DEEP in the tank
it's officially hard fearless without reset.
The seedings after "spring" are not the regular seedings they are after the playoffs for msi so first place regular can just be first if they win or second/third depending if they lose 1 or 2 times and Place 6 regular season can still go to legend group
Before: I can neither confirm nor deny ill be at the O2 Arena.
Rat king streaming live at final, I wonder how many strays he will catch
I actually loved the new lck format it is spicyyyy
Smart boy. Thanks for explaining the new format.
at 26:40, think he meant spring, the competition before MSI. 6th place in "spring" and then come back as 6th in 'Rise Group' during Summer even if they win MSI
in hindsight, o7 T1.
LCK format starts at 11:40
14:40 I think this is going to lead to some interesting results since say Team E is absolutely terrible and is actually last, if teams A G F carry their group then team E still gets to go to the next round and team J gets eliminated instead of them
An upper bracket team can still qualify for worlds by losing two Best-Of 5s, hence dominating Best-Of 3s is enough when your region gets 1st or 2nd at MSI (most likely LCK/LPL)
OooOoo I like fearless draft. The new format also seems more exciting
LCK Cup format seems fun
That LCK format is savage, but I like it.. it ensures we get more bo3's between the top 5 teams. Should be fun viewing.
the LCK format STRESSES ME OUT
bro lck format is harder that rocket science
Agree
lck making sure they definetly have the best teams
LCK going to dodgeball format is dope
26:20 The thing is if u qualify for MSI and win MSI as 6th seed in spring split then it doesn’t matter that ur in the rise group cuz u have guaranteed worlds qualification
But supposing u get 6th in spring and qualify for MSI and don’t win MSI then ur kinda pegged
A great LCK R1-5 and your season just ends not qualifying to worlds by losing two bo5s LOLLL
i’m so proud of the editor… watching yesterday stream showed the confusion he made but editor still made crazy video
LCK 2025 is BRUTALLLL
HOLY that format for the LCK Cup is so fuckin interesting and I love it so much
winter u can play 19/33 games, spring is 27/52 games and summer 17/35 games total = 63/120 games
Lck groups is basically cross teaming lmao, it’s crazy. I like it
It also has a strategy in it for the 3rd/4th teams for each group to pick weaker or the weakest teams to ensure that they get more wins than them if they know their group is going to win overall.
Isnt the LEC Summer Hangover solved by almost every game being on live patch? Cant spam practice on the first weeks patch if it isnt live yet.
Not a fan of how it's 3 separate formats for the splits. Kind of dumb.
It's just an easy way to test 3 formats in 1 year and then they will probably take the one that got the best reception and continue with that one instead of testing a new format every year for 3 years
@@Civtachopefully 3 splits is trash , just too much , hopefully they go back to 2 splits aswell in ranked
@@tryfergoodra552 they're having 3 splits in pro play because there's also gonna be 3 international tournaments next year (Winter, MSI, Worlds)
Either way there has to be two different formats minimum, because the time periods before the new international and MSI are significantly shorter than between MSI and Worlds.
With the LCK Cup, there is a chance that one year KT might choose T1 once again.

Lck format looks insane but theres potential there in developing the weaker teams since everyone should be matched againist opponents on closer level cos of the rising group and it also helps to gradually develop them through play ins n play off if they have the potential for it
Even though the 1st seed team has an easier route
This way of doing it will most likely make the 2nd seed team actl way more terrifying due to the amount of practice they get
