      Sherlock Holmes was canon to the Pre-52 DC Earth (he became public domain, so no copyright), and Batman met him. Albeit he was incredibly old, but still.

    I really hope this movie series continues. I wanna see a surprise precursor movie that's Holmes and Watson where Watson is a surprisingly educated young man, and everyone is surprised at meeting him at first, just for the movie to conclude (set up for the upcoming Gotham by Gaslight universe movies) with an older moustached man to catch the young Watson on his way out the door of Baker Street, claiming he's learned all he can from Holmes, for the final time just to reveal that the old man is Dr. Watson, and the young Watson to introduce himself as Bruce Wayne.
    They had Solomon Grundy introduced in the movie (listen for the name Cyrus Gold), all that's missing is the magic that transforms him. Same magic that probably brings Ivy back from the dead (killed by Jack at the beginning of this movie). Two Face is primed and waiting to literally explode onto the scene.
    It's sad I haven't heard anything about a follow-up

      This probably could go unsaid, but it's mostly sexism. Gordon viewed these women as "temptresses", luring men to sin, which was a common reason to disparage and hate prostitutes, and is still a view held by some people. The dumbest thing is, if anything, the customer is more at fault, since they're the ones engaging in adultery, the prostitute is just providing an opportunity. If prostitutes weren't an option, the customer would likely find another person to, uh, satisfy them. Not to mention, prostitutes usually turned to that line of work out of desperation, so I tend to sympathize with them, not hold their line of work against them.

    • @comingupwitaname6214
      @comingupwitaname6214 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@curranfrank2854 if you truly care about them, you get the women out of the position. Sympathy is cheap; anyone can look on someone and feel bad. Empathy, on the other hand, requires an active attempt to understand someone, take on their burdens and make them your own and ultimately help them find a solution. The place you're coming from is admirable though it doesn't bring anything into fruition - other than just food for thought.

    • @Veridiano02
      @Veridiano02 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@curranfrank2854 Truth to be hold, they are far of being saints in hell, rather than illetrate poor and ignorant, but you have somewhat of a point. If you really want to ban prostitution, just make the customers pay with a simple fine, send to the home of the customer and the appearence of all the customers in a public list, or some measure that, while not brutal, it will simply reveal them to the light of the brightest day. That risk may disuade a good portion of clients. Specially those in high places.
