As much as I love when they're in character and enjoying themselves, I live for moments like this where the person behind the avatar makes an appearance also. And what a beautiful voice at that tbh. Truly the best timeline.

She actually nails the emotion that the song wants to convey. Which is something that Koresaga fails to do in the original song. The video is cute and sad, but the actual way she sings it doesn't convey much emotion. I'm not saying Koresawa is a bad singer, but listen to the original version and then this and it is night and day. Rushia may not nail every single note in the song perfectly, but the emotion she puts while singing it makes up for it massively, to the point I vastly prefer this cover over the original.
At first I liked her when I first saw her, I really like how cute she spoke and look to match it, then it became clear "Uruha Rushia" is just a character played to be cute. My intetest of her dwindled as I saw more clips of her acting all cute, but as I see more of her, I also started to see more of the person behind the character, she's serious about her job and I feel she genuinely enjoys doing it. This made me like "Rushia" more than before.
Same story with Haato, Matsuri, Miko and Himawari to name a few, their characters felt really genericly cute at first glance but when you look past their personas, they are just very talented people doing what they really care about. Watching their streams really displays how they think and allows you to read them very openly. I'm guessing this is why they feel more genuine and are more connected to their audience.
This is also why I rarely feel anything towards celebrities, they feel so disconnected and sometimes even out of touch towards their fans. Ofc there are some exceptions, like Keanu Reeves for example.
The generic cute characters are why I never got into the big shot vtubers and thought Hololive would be more of the same when the Azur Lane crossover came along. The event was cute and funny but didn't show much in term of them beyond their personas. Fortunately it brought up clip recommendations that started showing the other sides of these people playing their personas and I ended up subbing to a lot of great, talented people who not only enjoy showing off their talents with their personas but also giving glimpses of their humanity especially to one another during collaborations.
Got recommended this vid today , and to be honest , a lot of her song somehow fit in right now , most of the song she sang especially songs that she posted as individual in her youtube channel , always contain sad emotion and lyric in them . But just as what she sang in this vid , if only we had look after her more carefully , and help her before all thing went out of hand , she will still be here with us , the feeling of "not been able to do anything about it" just make me feel so useless and weak , all we can do right now was just do our best to live a better live , and not make her worry about her fans
