People tend to dismiss chiptune as "video game music," as if that were ever a bad thing to begin with. Despite the primitive electronic sounds associated with the genre, I have encountered few others which instill such a powerful sense of adventure and wonder in the listener. At least, that's how the music plays to my personal sensibilities. I'm just glad that it exists.
I think it was Ayako Saso who, with a smile, reminisced that in the early days of video game music (not only paraphrasing here, but working across language boundaries), "There's nowhere else you can find sounds so pure -- so cheap." And I think that's really the key. When you strip everything down to the most basic waveforms and percussive sounds, there is no other option than to create an amazing melody and harmonize it best you can with whatever other limitations you have.
They were the best of the best. Only the most elite out of all the jet-fighters would make it. They would help answer distress calls and clear out situations when things got too out of hand for the Intergalactic Forces. They were never reported to be that big, only 100 or so members are known to exist, and I'm one. Those were the days. We called ourselves... **THE ZETA FORCE**
0:00 - The Legend of Zeta Force 3:17 - Techno Boss 5:20 - Blast Off Into Space 7:21 - Zeta Force (Game Boy Version) 10:18 - Level X 13:04 - Level 2 15:03 - Final Blast You're welcome!
I have a little program called "Beepdealer" that has a few chiptunes on it, one of them is Zeta Force Level 2, thats how I discovered this :D The coolest thing is that it loops the song infinitely because its being generated in real time :D I've had it for so many years, but this is my first time hearing the whole album from zabutom!
In a deck of crime cards, the one you draw first being the one someone did isn't so great. For all our chances per space probe im talking about it's better with more. We should get those getting out there.

Chiptune is massively underappreciated in the realm of music.
