Hello. The domain you are thinking of (with your example of google.com) is a "public domain", which means the public can reach that domain over the internet. In this video, "contoso.local" is what's known as a "private domain", which means it can only be reached inside your network. You do not need a public domain for AD. Private domains (also known as "local domains") control user permissions and access, network files, and email. Find a video on domain controllers for more information.
Hello, Thanks for this video. One thing i want to clear that, how to approve and deny patches by admin? and before WSUS configuration is done assume that all client machines already taken all updates from Microsoft, If I configure WSUS will get removed all previous updates in client side or those updates ll be remains same? Thanks in advance.
Okay so I am a little confused now. You did not approve any updates in the video, but the client PC still downloaded and installed them? Or was the client already up to date when the video started? What happens if WSUS gets neglected? Will all clients stop updating?
