    We're burning through 100 billion barrels of oil equivalent fossil fuels energy annually. Every year we must bring online another 100 billion barrels. There's no Oil Fairy refilling the holes.

    Good lecture but it looses credibility when the speaker says "democracies generate better climate policy outputs". That is patently false. And frankly a bad joke, typical of westerners living in their echo-chambers. "Democracies" are responsible, by far, for the greater CUMULATIVE accumulation of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, and yet are not even able to honour their 2015 Paris commitments. Not to mention that some even abandoned the Paris Agreement, or are, as we speak, walking back on their climate commitments ... (UK for example).
