Respect to everyone past and present serving in the Indian Navy and the Indian Armed Forces! I hope we can renew old ties in the future and work together in the future, from the UK!🇮🇳🇬🇧🇮🇳
I remember INS Vikrant, it came to Harold&Wolff shipyard Belfast N.Ireland for repair in the 1960's. There was an open day so I had the pleasure of seeing around the ship. It used to be called Hercules but was renamed INS Vikrant. My husband Sultan Abdul Kadar was petty officer on the ship. He died 2003 he would have loved this video.
I actually started crying..... My grandfather was posted in INS vikrant..... When it was being removed from Indian navy he gave resignation.... He was very attached with it.... When he came to know bajaj is making a bike with the material of INS vikrant... He was very excited... Now he have one of them... And the special part is he never allows anyone else to ride on it except him.... 😂.... It is really close to him....... I THANK BAJAJ FOR THIS...... jai hind 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
Wow. As an American, I am often ignorant to the power and capabilities of great nations such as India. Here, I am brought up to be a patriot. Nowadays, American patriotism really just means ignorance. This really opened my eyes, to the power, dedication, and willingness to sacrifice (for ones country) that the Indian people display.
@J He doesn't sound ignorant, you do. He has stated a complete truth, because I am an Indian -American and I understand prespective of both India and USA. Because he admitted to this truth, and noticed this moment of pride for all true Indians and patriots of all nations who experienced struggle for freedom, he is a true American, and defines what it means to be an American. I do not know of your nationality, but this is a moment of pride for me and my fellow American and Indians, because we appreciate decorated naval and military history and understand its significance. Jai Hind, God Bless America.
My father Late Mr Uttam Laxman Kamble ( CHME 049654A ) was also present in mighty INS Vikrant in 1971 War. He was in the engine room. These team of Marine Engineers trained at INS Shivaji prestigious Indian Naval Marine Engineering College Lonavala were the driving force behind the INS Vikrant. I as son along with my siblings and my mother were privileged to pay a visit to INS Vikrant when she was berthed at Lions Gate Mumbai. Navy is in our blood stream. We have grown listening to stories of INS Vikrant and The Indian Navy. Very recently we visited Naval Dockyard Vishakhapatnam and visited One of the Diesel Electric submarine, INS Rana and INS Sahyadri. Also saw the spot where PNS Ghazi was sank at the mouth of Vishakhapatnam harbour. Never ever will the Pakistani navy will dare to see in the eyes of our mighty Indian Navy. Salute to all Sailors and officer's present on INS Vikrant while on 1971 war.
When Bengal was united that is from Assam in the East to Jharkhand in West, Bihar and Darjeeling in north and Odisha in south it was said that what Bengal thinks today rest of the India thinks tomorrow. The Great rivalry between Bengalis of East (Today's Bangladesh and Assam) and Bengalis of West ( The Indian state of West Bengal ) used to be on full display on Mohan Bagan FC vs East Bengal FC. With partition all is lost of course.
@Uncle Joe Those are some historical wrongs, we dont ponder about them for too long . I personally love the competeiveness among the aussies. When the test matches are played the sharp exchanges between the two aggressive teams is really very entertaining . The sportsmanship of the men in baggy green is also praiseworthy.
@Uncle Joe no actually it is australia's duty to help rugby grow here as we have strong relationship in sports . I watched rugby in tv. It is very exciting . Suppose shane warne comes in india and play a rugby exhibition match , it will make headlines and in our country in the very next day some rugby training centers will sprout up . Aussie cricketers are really loved here it is like a second home to them . But believe me beating aussies in their home turf is better than even winning wc Yes we never thought to see australia in cricket scandals . But i think they got really desperate that day. And no do not stop sledging never, it is a part of your cricketing history. Dont do it i only follow india aus criciet match to see the sledging.😂 Yeah i think this year t20 will be postponed . And i think really chinese must cooperate , they knew about the virus since 2019 november but did not tell it clearly and usa got quality researchers from every part of the world but china is not helping anyway. Lakhs of lives could be saved if china makes things bit clearer . But yes australia is standing up they are holding out appreciatively against china. Today they must support taiwan . We indians also want our govt to hold firm against china but there are already some aggressive punching and wrestling in our northern border between pla and indian army.
This was something. Each one of us felt we were a part of INS Vikrant and its quest for glory. What a ship!! and what a crew? Thank you for this lovely and touching piece on INS Vikrant's hours of glory.Sorry it did not last. The de-commissioning would have touched the hearts of all those who sailed her and who mounted those attacks from her decks. Will there be another like her?
I can remember very well the Indian navy in Belfast. They were young and very well behaved. Some were great cooks I loved the Indian food. It was sad when INS Vikrant left Harland&Wolff shipyard after repair.
Had a chance to visit INS Vikrant when it was turned into a museum, I still remember my Father was posted on INS Viraat, but he always used to talk about INS Vikrant. Had great luck to visit both the legendary carriers.
Seeing the big V logo makes all proud. Those people who finds bad on V15 Should watch this. Not for many features the bike is made but only for the re-birth of INS VIKRANT
Commodore Medioma Bhada actually visited our college for a function and told the story of INS Vikrant. Actually Commodore Medioma Bhada had fought with a condition in which his arm could dislocate anytime. Salute to you Sir ♥️♥️ Proud to have such people serve our India 🇮🇳🇮🇳

Nice video.. It doesn't makes us boring to watch rather makes us to take us to early 90s..Indian war heroes.. And their horrified past and their sufferings, misery, and what they give everything for India.. We mustn't forget them.. Salute them. 💯🇮🇳🇮🇳
GREAT RESPECT & SALUTE TO OUR EX NAVAL WARRIORS OF INS VIKRANT BECAUSE THEY DID WONDER BY CREATING A NEW NATION BANGLADESH AFTER DISMEMBERING IT FROM PAKISTAN. JAI HIND, SHEKHAR, NEW DELHI.
Saddening to read mighty Vikrant dismantled piece by piece. At least the steam catapult system could have been donated to a naval aeronautical engineering study college so that younger generations can continue to feel the vibration of the mighty mother Vikrant.
Timir Das, My point of contention is specifically part of the equipment for student R & D studies. I clearly understand the hull steel materials composite manganese soft steel grade for recycling and same with other grade steels. Just wondering when a gap is created between technology the HR is lost as per generation gap. Look at DRDO Tejas 30 year project.
It's our naval prowess that is the shining armour of our beloved hindustan, yet again do not mistake our generosity for our weakness, as it is these men that you would fight, it is these men that are guarding our fronts and skies, and yet some fools want to fight our navy and get inscribed in the history as being another notorious country that never came to its senses......you still have time, we dont want to have conflicts, rather we can have friendship, only if you like........

Excellent story India. What do you think former serving Ratings and Officers of Vikrant. Funny....She looks exactly like our old and beloved CV 22. Was she switched at sea in the night on her way to be scrapped in Taiwan with her rusting sister?....That's the story ''Bonnie's'' crew is convinced what happened.....Cheers from your good friends in Nova Scotia.🍻🍁
I don't think the word 'ripped apart' should be used in such a personality for a ship like Vikrant, as she been mother to many and darling daughter to Mother India. We say 'let her rest in peace'. Sometimes media people becomes far from humane. Crudeness prevails.
The video is truly awesome. Although we cant forget ins Viraat we also cant forget the brave sons of of ins viraat. Salute to all from deep into my heart.
