    I used to make a killing running short trips when I drove taxi. You had several trips that were a mile long offering around 4 bucks. Mile or less for that isn't bad and they're usually quick and done. Those 3, 4 and 5 dollar trips can add up quite a bit. Other drivers wouldn't take them sitting and waiting for the big bucks while I ran all night long. Don't know if it translates on Rideshare but you might check it out. Love your videos. Just wish there were even more of them. Really enjoying seeing Vegas and what you're doing.

    I've picked up at that same place, the young security guards are cool but the old ones always want your ID.... I'm scanning the piece of paper for the secondary gates is annoying.

      @@rickyd4793 Yeah that correct it’s only $70. The Nevada business license is the main one to get started. It’s $200 every year, which is kind of a ripoff but Uber and Lyft requires you to upload it just to start driving. www.clarkcountynv.gov/business/doing_business_with_clark_county/divisions/drivers_independent_contractors.php

    • @2011blueman
      @2011blueman ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I think the lower amount rides are far more efficient, you're just not thinking it through. You're going to get a lot of short rides with short pickup distances and a lot more tip opportunities. I think overall you're going to make more money taking the short rides with less wear on your vehicle than waiting for the bigger rides where you're driving for miles just to get to the pickup.

    so do you need something special to do pickups from the airport? I see they want that sign on the dashboard for uber or lyft.
    Also, I am assuming if I only did drop offs at the airport that doesn't matter right?

    • @BlakeDrives
      @BlakeDrives  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, they make us get a Nevada and Clark County business license. The Clark County License is for airport runs, if you don't have it and you get caught making pickups you could get a ticket. If you only did dropoffs, I think you'd be fine without it.

    • @BlakeDrives

      So you need a Nevada business license just to drive Uber and Lyft. And you’ll need a Clark county business license to pick up from the airport. Just doing drop offs at the airport I think you would be okay without it. Just don’t get caught.

    honest question, why are you so fixated on rides above $10 even if they are way under $1 per mile i rather drive 2 miles get 5 bucks than drive 22 miles for 15 bucks.

    • @BlakeDrives
      @BlakeDrives  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching and for the comment! It's not fixation, just a personal preference. I may drive fewer miles but I'll spend more time in traffic depending on the time of day. If I wait longer than 5-10 mins, I'll usually pick one up.

      U can drive 22 miles in 20min & maybe a 2miles in 20 min in downtown where trafic, you have to pick higher rides with less time, forget about milege, focus on your time. You are payed hourly & not aware, they trick you with their randomly rides system that average same price /hr
