- Hey everyone! My whites tree frogs Coco and Durian have been having some health issues for most of this year. Durian arrived with his back in March, and Coco's developed after his arrival. I’m so sorry your having this problem, I have Humpty and Dumpty, 2 whites tree frogs, Humpty got skinny all the sudden , and I freaked out! I put pedialiite in the water and tried real hard to make him eat, he’s doing better now, if this happened to me , I would freak out!
I looked up ivermectin for treating frogs and I discovered in my research that one parasite common in frogs is Nematode worms and they sure look like what was coming out of cocoa’s bumps. I’m not a vet or anything but I was just curious as to what that might be coming out of the bumps because to me it looked like a worm of some sort.
Id recommend investing in a steam cleaner. Not just for this situation but in general. It kills parasites on contact and is a great thing to have around when and if you need to disinfect things for your animals. You may want to do research on the specific parasite they have to make sure it isn't one of the weird exceptions to the rule, but in general steam is a great chemical free way to kill damn near anything!

Can you spray the frog with it? Like a whites tree frog and can it be a daily routine to steam the cage everyday or can the be harmful to them

i saw this wen my first frog had some swelling and now have others with a different issue and turned up again. Its good because it shows the difficulty of diagnosis and identifying frog issues

I started watching you because of your rats but stayed because of your personality and story telling. I don’t own any reptiles nor do I know anything about white tree frogs but I can literally watch anything you put out! I hope Coco get’s better soon 💕 P.S. I would also love some more rat video’s 😁

I do think there is still a stigma around having rats as pets (I have them too), they creep people out for some reason. But that’s why your video’s are extra important. You educate people about all kinds of animals. Looking forward to see the boys ☺️

I just love Whites Tree Frogs 🐸 😍. I have been showing Steve videos and pictures of them and he mentioned about getting a couple someday. I would love to now but with my health it would be to much to add more little ones to take care of.

I've been interested in getting a Whites Tree Frog, but I still have a lot a questions. my concern is water quality for the frogs when it comes to bathing, and/or misting. I know RO water is pretty great, but that isn't too accessible for me. What water can I buy in large quantities that is good for frog if I get any? are those 5 gallon waters you'd use on a water cooler on a source of water for them?
I have a lot of experience with litorias... i have a group of 9 for 12 years , few year ago i take out this parasites (spirometra sparganum) on this legs, i use desinfected blade for cut the lumps and tweezer tweezer for take out...sometimes are very deep inside the muscle, probably the frogs are wild caugh not captive breed

How do you avoid frog parasites
I'm not a frog owner. I thought it was wise tree frogs 😂 I never looked at the spelling, I just heard bad pronounceations. I love the name coco btw

I have a question about leopard geckos. So I got my leopard gecko almost 2 months ago. When I got her I was told she was 3 months old. I got her from petco. My leopard gecko is 8 inches long and weighs 53 grams. I thought that that was heavy and big for a gecko that is almost 5 months old. Is it? If you think you know the age I would really like to know. Thank you! Also I am sorry about your frog 🐸
Oh wow that’s a decent sized gecko for 5 months old! Could be that the gecko won’t grow too much more, but you’ll have to wait and see.
Ive been struggling with my whites tree frog too. He has had parasites for A WHILE. The vet and I cant get rid of them. :(
How do you know ? I took both mine (kodak & Kai) to the vet yesterday . She said they both look very healthy . But I have been having issues with my male (kodak) pooping very liquidy gooey clear-ish stuff . And it looks like undigested crickets in it .
Last night he pooped out 2 whole crickets .
The vet took a stool sample but I haven’t heard back and apparently the dr that looks over the results won’t be in until Monday .
Do you think this is parasites of some sort ?
Is the vet gonna give me something to at least help him start digesting again ?

HELP! My tree frog is sick. I think he may have fallen and knocked himself out. I heard a bang 2 night's ago...he was upside down not moving and his legs were stiff. Soon after he flipped back over and woke up. He was walking funny and would eat. He has not been very responsive, his eyes do not respond to light, his skin has gotten darker, and he lies flat as he can't hold is body up long. When I noticed what happened I noticed he seems to have lost wait and his skin was super dry...I don't know if he was stuck somewhere before or what but I think the main thing is he may have concussed himself...please help I don't have ANY amphibian vets around me

My male whites tree frog has been pooping out this gooey liquidy clear-ish stuff . And it’s been looking like undigested crickets in it , too .
Then last night he pooped out 2 whole crickets that were not digested .
I took him (Kodak) and my female one (Kai) to a vet over an hour away yesterday . She said they both look very healthy .
She admit them for a couple hours to make sure she didn’t miss anything .
Then I picked them up .
I had given her a stool sample from the night before . (Kodak’s stool) he’s the one having issues digesting and Kai didn’t go the night before .
I’m still waiting on the results of the stool sample . She won’t be back in til Monday to go over the results.
At the very least , he’s having digestive issues . Do you know any way or anything I can get or do to help him start digesting again ?

I would suspect a parasite is involved but I’m not sure. You should reach out to Tay over at Tay’s exotic critters on IG. They have more WTF experience than me. But it’s not a bad idea to double check your husbandry, make sure the temps are good, UVB is good, supplements are good, etc.
I have 3 whites tree frogs and two started to act really weird and at one point they got bloated but they were still alive but since then they have not been eaten for like a month. I dont know what to do.
Take them to a vet
My whites tree frog had a bacterial infection and he took antibiotics, it seemed to work but he has had water retention in his belly and can't move, you mentioned that water retention on antibiotics lasts about a week, could that be why my frog is bloated looking? I am very worried.
I would consult your vet. Bloating is not good. If your vet thinks it’s due to antibiotics, then it’s possible
@@JessicasAnimalFriends Thank you so much for your reply, unfortunately there is not a single vet in my area that looks at tree frogs. I took him to the regular vet and they gave me reptile antibiotics and said it was the same.
What kind of parasites?
One was pinworms, the name of the more persistent one I can’t remember off the top of my head but I can go back in my old emails to find it.

id assume Coco has a weaker genetic line being captive bred with a possibility of inbreeding... if his fore fathers were wild and had a weakness to a parasite coco might had never been...
