    I am happy to see that we humans are trying to make up for our mistakes. If you are being environmental friendly in any way like this comment...because I want to know how many of us are eco-friendly people.

    I'm from Johannesburg South Africa and was horrified to see us on the list... Yes, we are one of the biggest "man-made forests in the world" but it's really just large, alien trees lining the streets of our upper-class suburbs. As for Cape Town, they are pumping megatons of human poopoo into the ocean. Laughable

    Huh, I didn’t think my city Vancouver would make it on a list ... only because I heard so many other European cities were greener. Also I’m curious about South Africa because I’ve heard there’s quite a lot of problems
    now if this could be updated information or is it just a promotional information
    I’m not really sure where you’re getting your facts from
    so I’m just curious if anyone from your channel could answer. thank you 🙏

    In the future our diet will be change to as will because our lifestyle could in fact effect environment so it means we have to give up on animal products and no more loop holes this for good of our future generation and vegan is the future diet of this world

    • @someoneunknown434
      @someoneunknown434 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well... That's still not easy then... Where do you want to plant everything? The big plantations aren't good either

    • @Skitdora2010
      @Skitdora2010 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      If you truly go vegan you will either destroy the environment in your quest for unsustainable extremism, or you will die. Vegetarianism is much more possible but tyrannical clowns demanding to have no animal by products in our diet is a movement by mentally unhinged obsessive compulsive disorder, unhealthy people, lying is just part their manipulation of their need to dictate control of all others due to their lack of self-control and fighting their derived feeling of powerlessness of that by forcing others to battle it for them. You know Damn well Leonardo DiCaprio is eating meat. You do not get obese eating fruit and salads.
      If you care about the environment, you eat local. You eat in season, no fresh fruit or vegetables in January in United States. You eat dried, frozen or canned in mason jars from your own garden. That is what sustainability is.
      You can go vegan, either lie to declare yourself as one by calling tuna not meat and eating it, or you can honestly not eat any animal or animal by product and you die. Just don't drag the whole world down with you in your delusional madness.

    Canada and USA should be disqualified, since they are both in top 10 CO₂ emitters both per capita and overall. No 1st-world country outside Europe is even remotely green. Australia: 18.6 t*CO₂/person; US: 16.1; South Korea 12.3; Japan 9.9. While EU has a mean of 6.6 t*CO₂/person.

    The climate plans on either side of the 2020 US election are pretty nonexistent depending on how serious you take the environment and the next 50 + years
    I find it so ridiculous that other places in the world can get their hits together in some regard and push new measures that make protection against the Earth's climate crisis a requirement. It's not a question. It's not a debate. It's not about personal feelings. People are either too selfish, too uneducated, or too unrealistic. For a country (the US specifically) that can't meet in the middle about simple topics like masks, with our system, I don't see us making the environment a priority in schools on tv ads, in conversation in regulations. It won't be through the masses; it just won't. America is all over the place about climate. How tragic is it? Sad enough that you laugh through the pain and frustration and try not to take it seriously 💔

    Exactly what are the parameters for qualifying for being ecofriendly? Video feels deceptive.
    Planting trees is very good, as they provide shade in summer decreasing air conditioning demand and healthy food for poor people who used to collect it to feed their families. Feeding poor locally decreases need for plastics. Because people are lazy and domineering, people cut down fruit making trees because they drop fruit which will rot and even tried to cut all trees down because they drop leaves which are slippery when wet and need clean up. Some people cut trees down because they do not want to feed others. Female trees actually filter and clean the air as they try to collect pollen on the wind. Male trees disperse pollen (plant sperm) which helps cause some allergies. Female trees clean air of it to fertilize themselves. You can eat linden leaves and redbud flowers. You can tap and drink maple, walnut, linden, birch. I tap maple. You tap when the night temperatures freeze and daytime is above freezing and boil it down for syrup. Making your own sugar is ecofriendly. Trees do make sense as being environmentally friendly. People are not environmentally friendly.
    Public transit or architectural features for ease of foot traffic navigation of city would be another method to try decrease fossil fuels. Bike paths being built everywhere is one example to decrease need for cars, but public transits are not maintained and are increasingly dangerous due to criminal activities. Mentally unwell people shove strangers onto tracks in front of trains and some victims are killed by it. Public transit demands much security. People who prey upon people go where people go.
    Building underground like in Vancouver shopping malls is a very green environment. Below the frost line (usually below 6 feet but it varies by location) it never freezes and stays same temperature year-round. That saves heating and cooling costs. Just bring a sweater. People used to make tunnels to connect buildings underground and skybridges to connect buildings above ground. These were pedestrian pathways and would cut down on jaywalkers being run over crossing busy streets and intersections. Our buildings are built closer than ever before, and safe pedestrian walkways have been cut out of modern designs. An underground connecting tunnel could decrease costs for/use of heat and air-conditioning as each time a door opens to the street heat or cooling is lost.
    A city making it on the list for receiving government funding is not green at all. People can be more ecofriendly by just weather stripping their homes and using curtains.
    NYC and few others growing food in the parks is ecofriendly as transportation and packaging costs are eliminated.
    I am pretty sure Iceland was reported as fully self-sustaining with hydro energy. That would be ecofriendly. Nordic countries are self-sustainable in food. It is their culture. Our culture is consumerism, laziness and selfishness. A True ecofriendly country would not be on their phones 24/7 but out farming their land and make their own clothes: wool, cotton, silk, angora, flax, hemp, animal hides. Fashion industry of synthetic fibers a major polluter, incredibly disposable yet decades needed to decompose. Just research plastic rivers in Guatemala, Deonar dumping ground in India. We need to return to natural products. They decompose faster.
    If you want to be environmentally friendly, wear your clothes past being in fashion, repair your clothes with needle and thread or patches, grow your own food, stop buying latest greatest phone or game system, eat and buy local. Wake up when the sun rises and go to sleep when the sun sets, no night owls sleeping morning away. Stop being fat. Walk. Stop demanding others do work and make changes and do it yourself.
    Environmentalism has become a virtue signaling trend for toxic lying superficial tyrannical supremacists. You can tell how fake they are by just looking at them and their ultra plastic looking artificial eye sore homes and private planes. They tell you to stop using storm fallen wood to heat your home as they burn oil to heat their mansions large enough to fit a small village yet only keeps a single small family. There is money (tax payer) laundered away in being green but they are lying imposters with nothing to show for all of our taxes, other than their newly acquired wealth they show off when they splurge. Our tax dollars hard at work appeasing their egos and their desire for luxury. They should pay it back, the thieves.
