Mike, am just discovering your channel this evening as we were looking for VC comparison reviews of the Crosby Stills and Nash various reissues like Chad's, MFSL, and/or reissues like BG's 2009/05 copy, etc. Enjoyed the vid & I reviewed your earlier vids so I've subscribed. Am watching your room tours as I write; you seem like a big kid with years of media collecting? Will have to see if you’ve got a vid on your personal history, etc. Of note, not sure of your age but we may be somewhat close in age? I've been in the design/build technology profession for decades including 100s of high-end residential and same for commercial spaces. LOL, I'm still watching your room tour vid and you've got a TON of media stuff!!
Thanks Daniel, it is a way fun hobby!!! Since I just retired I have more time to jump into this and have fun with it. I am just starting to upgrade my Audio system and I am looking forward to that. Thank you for checking out the channel. I have a review of the new War Greatest Hits album and the Getz Gilberto onestep coming out in the next couple days. Thanks again!
One of the true classics, Mike! And you're spot on...what a great job A.P are doing with all the Atlantic 75 releases! They 'handle' so beautifully! 👌👍
Thanks for another great review Mike! I have the Nautilus version of CSN which I think sounds very good. I'm taking it to a friends next week, who recently bought the AP/Atlantic 75 version, and we're going to do a comparison. It should be interesting, but I'm guessing the AP/Atlantic 75 copy will be better....we'll see!
I’ve seen and heard the actual ‘original master tapes’ of the CSN ‘Couch’ album. The Classic 33rpm at the time sounded nearly the same as the original master tapes, so not having the new AP 45rpm version of the album, from what you describe it probably sounds just like the original master tapes. I heard the original master tapes of the ‘couch’ album back when Steve Hoffman was doing the remastering for the Audio Fidelity gold CD at Stephen Marsh’s studio in Hollywood. I was one of a lucky few who were invited to sit in on the remastering session.
What an amazing oppertunity? To be honest when I want to listen to this album, I reach for the Classic Records version just because of the 33rpm and the fact it sounds excellent! The AP is slightly better but not good enough to turn the record over two more times! Thank you!!
Hi Mike, this review makes me want this album. Thank you. I’m not sure if you are familiar but Chad bought Classic Records when it closed. I’m sure he has a lot of the metal parts to do many reissues in the future however I think the AP 75 is new metal assuming Classic made a 45rpm version. Thoughts?
Mike, did you notice your review link is highlighted on Analogue Productions website on the CSN product page! Very cool! You are getting the attention you need to grow your channel. AP has taken notice, Congratulations.
Actually not much. I was very supprised at how good the Audio Fidelity cd sounded. The warmth of the vinyl is a tad better. The voices on both CR & AP just sounded more natural and detailed. Make no mistake the AF cd is excellent!
I have a question for you! I have the Mobile Fidelity One Step of this so would you think there is much difference between the 75th release Do I need to get this???
I have found a one step for about $75 and I am considering buying it to compare. I will keep you posted on that. To be honest it wouldn't suprise me if they were very close. If you have the one step you might want to sit tight for a while. I dought the AP version is going to sell out any time soon.
I have the mofi one step of this and 3 og pressings. The mofi is the best I have heard yet. But my Atlantic 75 is on the way. Can you please DSD? I can send you a few samples of the one step so you don’t need to buy one

Good job Mike I have the Og I am saving up for a turntable and expanding my collection of vinyl
Warning, its a dangerous hobby!😂Thank you.

This is a greatest hits album in my opinion. Such a great sound that can’t be copied.
Once you put it on you are turning over the records till you have heard it all. Completely agree.

That's true. I wonder if they have used some of those with some of the albums like this one that they have released. Very possible. Thank you.
I picked this up today, can’t wait to listen tonight!
Love to hear what you think!@@dexhome_2010

No! I just checked that out! Thanks for the heads up. I did not know they had done that. Thanks again for letting me know. @@dexhome_2010
How does it compare to the 192/24 files?
I have noticed that my copy of a used record store bought album did not have a low noise floor despite quite surfaces
An interesting review. Thank you !
Love this album. Thanks
The new Analogue Productions is from 45 RPM Classic Records metal parts...
That would make sense to me.
I'm glad I grew up during a time when talent was abundant! CSN & CSN&Y were true talents. Harmonics with Stills guitar talents were exceptional.
Agreed!!!
Don’t purchase the One Step. I thought it was awful and returned it.
So what was lacking in the Audio Fidelity version, vinyl? ;)

I have both and there is a big difference. One step is very bright and flat. I was not a fan of one step at all

Sounds great. Thank you.
I think most of these AP/Atlantic releases will become the definitive copies.
I am starting to think that as well. Thanks
the audio fidelity is an album just like the vinyl records are albums albeit a cd
No comparison with the classic 45! Or the Nautilus
It is a great album for sure. Thank you
not two albums its 2 records
Never was a good sounding record produced badly
To be honest...
