Hence why they didn't make the production cars look like the prototype. Also those prototype are usually hand built allowing for more freedom in shaping the car, converting the body shape to mass production using machine may not viable so they change the shape in production car.

I’ve hung out several times with Ralph Gilles. Back in 2006 at Festival of LX’s in Irvine California he stayed at the Double Tree and rode with us to cars and coffee at Crystal Cove the morning before the event. There was a guy there with a modified 300C SRT8. Ralph and I were walking around the car and he walked up to the 50ish rather arrogant owner and said, “Hey nice, I like what you did with your 300.” The owner wasn’t a dick per se but was rather dismissive about the compliment. I couldn’t let this go so immediately after, I walked up to the owner and said, “Do you know who that is? That’s the guy who designed your car.” His jaw dropped and he immediately went over to talk with Ralph. It was pretty cool to be a catalyst for that moment.
