+ccwalker050 Glad to hear people enjoy my camera work :) Love to share my vids with y'all. The flight was choppy during the climb due to the pilot taking evasive action to escape a nearby twister/tornado headed for us that would have surely delayed or cancelled the flight. Appreciate you visiting my channel my good man!
That storm your flying in looks like it could produce a tornado especially at 10:29, and I expect a tornado watch or warning issued at that time in the area
+Andy Cheng St. Louis is known for high winds and tornados. Glad we got outta there when we did. The tornado warning was issued 20 mins after we took off from STL!
Nice to see the iPhone6+ does a great job with video. Can't wait to capture some video myself in a couple of weeks. Always look forward to your videos. Cheers!
RM Glad you enjoy watching my videos friend! Shoot me the link when your video is up. Just upgraded to the iPhone 7+ recently so can't wait to show you guys how well it does with video. Appreciate the kind words and cheers!
I appreciate your posting this video. As a STL resident for sure. Yet considering the interesting weather conditions you had I have to wonder why 80 percent of the film was on the ground.
+wayne meinhard Thanks for watching! There was a lot of cloud cover right after I ended the video so no one would been able to see the ground. It sucks because it really was an epic takeoff to escape the thunderstorm that would have grounded us for sure.
ME (as the plane is heading toward the runway): "We have clearance, Clarence." "Roger, Roger." "What's our vector, Victor?" (speaks gibberish for less than a minute)
+AR & EV To enter the United States & fly to St.Louis from the Philippines, you must apply for a tourist visa at the United States Embassy in Manila. Schedule an interview online at www.ustraveldocs.com/ph, or by calling (02) 902-8930 or (02) 982-5555. Since you are visiting as a tourist you need to apply for a B-2 Visa. To apply for a B-2 visa, Filipinos must submit the Online Nonimmigrant Visa Electronic Application, Form DS-160. Make sure to have your Philippines passport that won't expire until at least six months after the last projected day visiting the United States. The B-2 visa requires one 2-inch-by-2-inch photo, as well as a visa application processing fee. The B-2 visa fee was $160. Other documentation required to apply for a visa includes evidence that shows the purpose of the trip, documentation that shows booked departure travel from the United States and evidence of arrangements to cover the cost of the trip such as credit card, checking, & or savings accounts with sufficient funds ready to use for example.
Those are probably the only three planes at the least busiest airport on earth! Used to be Lambert International.... now it's Lambert St. Louis Airport. This is the East Terminal. The Main Terminal would probably be better served as a warehouse for plane parts... it's super dead!
jackson franklin That's awesome & enjoy your first flight Saturday! It may be scary for you the first time around but trust me it is very safe in today's civilian aviation world & the more often you fly you'll get used to it and it won't bother you anymore :)
Alan Wilder That's awesome bro! Enjoy your flight! The Galaxy S7 has a pretty sick camera so I know your video gonna be high quality. Be sure to post the link here when you post it up so I can enjoy watching your masterpiece!
+Alan Wilder Yep as long as the phone is in airplane mode you're free to record. The flight attendants actually didn't even say anything to me when they saw me recording with my phone!
Travels Of MK8ITRA1N cool thanks checked weather all good all the way to california! I was going to take AA thanks god I didn't all I c on here is how bad they are
Oh yeah, the scenery was gorgeous! St. Louis looks like a very nice place to live. Check out my St. Louis landing video especially since I had sunny clear weather on my approach into STL & I got plenty of scenery in that one too. Appreciate your kind words & thx for watching!
The city of St. Louis has some pretty parts, but it is also pretty run down....and there is a LOT of suburb. Only about 350 thousand people live in the actual city. The other 2 million or so live in the suburbs. The airport is located in the suburb and planes fly over the dump when they take off.
Alan Wilder Can't wait for my flight either :) Shortly after I posted this I upgraded to an iPhone 7 Plus & I'm also jetting off as well to India on the 20th of July onboard Emirates. Will be filming that for sure so stay tuned!
@@TravelsOfMK8ITRA1N It is. Seen it many times when I worked at McDonnell Douglas/Boeing. TWA pilots did it all the time before AA. In fact AA pilots did not like the quick narrow launch and landing spacing as other airports have.
Wow that is something! That must have been quite a sight when you worked for them. I can bet because those short length runways can be challenging, LGA here in NYC being the most notorious.
+BladeSC74 Most takeoff videos on TH-cam are filmed just like this so I guess they are all boring my good man :) Also I don't understand how my video is a "lie" like you said as I have stated this is a takeoff from STL and that is what is shown is this video. If you were talking about the weather conditions, they are not mentioned at all & are not the focus of the video. The dark clouds just happened to appear during the main takeoff sequence.
Man! That’s a hell of a left turn just seconds off the ground. Gotta love those Southwest pilots! They really do a great job!
Exactly what I said when I was on this flight! These pilots really know how to handle these planes well👍
Wow! The takeoff was SO STEEP!!!!!
It was! We were thrown around in there during takeoff!
Nice 70's style takeoff! Great video
Glad you enjoyed it bro!
I like the way that the pilot used the Spoilers during rotation. Good video, thanks for sharing.
+Spirit's Pride Loved the spoiler usage too. Glad you enjoyed the video I shared! Hope to see you around on future videos bruh👍
+Visionbyte Looking back at it your probably right.
***** That'd make sense. Not sure exactly why on the ground but still a cool shot.
Spirit's Pride My guess is that he needed to make a sharp left bank to avoid the oncoming bad weather seen during takeoff.
Actually. the spoilers only come up on the right side if the right side needs to turn... remember that spoilers are meant to be used to negate lift.
WOW, nice camera work! A little choppy climbing out but nobody on board seemed to mind. Thanks for sharing!!

What about that dark cloud... Yes love ☔☔rain
Quite some rain that way!
I appreciate your posting this video. As a STL resident for sure. Yet considering the interesting weather conditions you had I have to wonder why 80 percent of the film was on the ground.

I flew from this airport with my Worldstrides class from my middle school to go to Baltimore!!
Southwest is low cost carrier but awesome airline nice video
It’s the best low cost carrier I’ve flown with!
ME (as the plane is heading toward the runway): "We have clearance, Clarence." "Roger, Roger." "What's our vector, Victor?" (speaks gibberish for less than a minute)
10:34 - Mama Mia! That is one dark cloud!
+Brennan's Flight Factor Right?! Our pilot pulled some quick maneuvers after takeoff to escape the thunderstorm that would have grounded us for sure.
That is one very dark and foreboding cloud!
+RM A nightmare pretty much for pilots lol
What kind of vis do we need to enter st. Louis? We are from philippines by the way.

Was it a Boeing 737-700, a Boeing 737-800 or a Boeing 737-900?
It was a Boeing 737-700 my friend!
Those are probably the only three planes at the least busiest airport on earth! Used to be Lambert International.... now it's Lambert St. Louis Airport. This is the East Terminal. The Main Terminal would probably be better served as a warehouse for plane parts... it's super dead!

"Hi...Tom Tuttle from Tacoma Washington".
Looks a little bit stormy
Not one of those normal take off when half way down the runway it makes a hard left turn south over Bridgeton and over the new section!
I suspect it was due to the bad weather that was headed our way!

Eerie clouds
Delta_508 Very much so!
Steep climb eh?
+WannaWinItAllDay Deadass bruh it was pretty intense on that flight!
at 10:29 it looks like theres a massive thunderstorm
+VlogsWithNate Oh yeah it would have grounded us for sure. You can see how quick the pilot tried to escape it after takeoff
Looked like a tornado to me
+Forza Gamer Funny story about that actually. After I took off, apparently it was actually a twister passing through with heavy rain & winds!
Too much preflight
Please Do NOT waste your time with this... boring and just a lie... you see nothing but a few dark clouds 🙄
