This is pretty much what my dream mech game would be. VTOL showed what cockpit games should be about. And "proper" mech games with huge lumbering mechs are slow moving enough that interacting with the cockpit is actually engaging and fun, like with VTOL. Good job dev, this is really cool.
yes it feels like a dream tank game. I hate how anime makes mechs fast moving cartoony super hero machines. The slow moving combat beast much more realistic.
Thanks so much for playing OVRLRD! Just a little update from me (the dev) - thanks to your video I was able to find the bug that's causing you to get instakilled whenever you get caught in an explosion. I've updated the demo to include this and a few more fixes, plus I've added over 800 (!) new voice lines so you don't get that 'fruit shop owner' bark every 12 seconds. Seeing these long recordings and discussions of the game is incredibly helpful for development, so thanks again!

i hope rudder pedals are gona be supported... imagine controlling this mech using them... right pedal is forward, left pedal is backward and the pushing right forward turns you right and vice versa.
@@RealityRemake its always hard pleasing HOTAS fan boys. They always give bad reviews to VR games that try to make it where you dont need one and still have support. I prefer VTOL and this game over HOTAS any day. Feels more like your in a machine than playing with a controller. Also HOTAS is a pain to set up in most games.

Wow! glad this helped out. Best of luck with development. I can't wait to see more
you and bahamut should get together. the vtol vr gang
@@ItsJustPreVR haha I'd love to but that guy is way smarter than me!
You made a vtol vr mech game i would call that pretty smart ngl
thanks for making this game, why no one saying this is like Operation Flashpoint but with mechs. A dream game!
That voice line is form tf2 sniper: "this is gonna be a real piece of piss, you bloody fruit shop owners"
I had no idea XD. I hope the dev is careful with things like that. Nice catch!

I do believe the developer is planning on adding HOTAS support of some kind.

How do you play the game?
Like you'd play any Steam VR game. Launch Steam VR after connecting your headset to a computer and run the game.
