@@alexandramcmaster As a retired optician just so you know, it's okay to say what your prescription is. It's nothing like giving out your social security number. In fact there are likely many thousands of others with the same exact prescription as your prescription is.
Having been an optician for many years and now retired I have a feeing that even though you took the advice given to you and went for an eye exam you really weren't expecting to get glasses were you? So your still getting used to having glasses as well as wearing them now. I'm assuming that your eyes are much more comfortable now that your wearing glasses for near work. Did the doctor say anything about astigmatisms to you during your eye exam? I assume your distance vision is still perfect without glasses? I'm only mentioning that because if you do in fact have astigmatisms you may have found the lower lines of the eyechart a bit challenging to your eyes. That's because astigmatisms effects the eyesight at all distances. I'm sure you only have a very weak prescription in your glasses, but even a weak prescription can make quite a difference to your eyesight. When wearing your glasses is things at a distance slightly blurry with your glasses on? If it is that's very normal and as your eyes continue adjusting to your glasses that blur should soon go away.
@@alexandramcmaster Your very welcome and In hope it was helpful to you. If you have any questions about your glasses or your eyes please feel free to ask me. I enjoy answering questions.
@@alexandramcmaster By power what he was asking is what your prescription is. In some countries they refer to glasses prescriptions as "power values" . But by wearing glasses around people in a work place you may also have a bit of a "power" look as well. Glasses do provide a nice professional look as well as being considered cute.
@@alexandramcmaster ohh I must walk around with my eyes closed because I've never seen them before! Yea I'd often walked passed oscar wylee and thought hmm I really need to get my eyes tested because I had prescriptions in primary school and high school but got teased sooo much! Girls would tell me I'm ugly and would never get a boyfriend! They would tell me to take off my glasses and braces and straighten my hair. So I haven't worn glasses since 2006. Lol so that's why I'm going to oscar wylee haha oh and I'm married so I'm sure having glasses would be OK haha
