I feel you. In the beginning, I was so annoyed I had to change all my videos to the vertical aspect ratio, zoom in, and all that, but the more I did it, the more I slowly enjoyed making Reels. It took me some time to learn and to even become good at it, but now most reels reach thousands of new people (And I do not have a big following at all) so Reels are great for cold leads and getting your name out there. I still prefer TH-cam for actually building a community and more in-depth stuff

Good tips man. I 100% agree that posting reels is a must if your goal is Instagram account growth. Also posting on other platforms helps as well. I’ve seen massive growth in my IG from these 2 strategies.

I was late to the IG game and created an account back in 2017, and as an artist I find it so hard to compete with the millions of talented artists out there that create reels and promote their artwork. I've been sticking to photo posts and the occasional video, but learning that reels can help increase my number of followers has given me a better understanding of why they're so popular. I went from 2k to 215k on IG in the last 2 months from just being consistent. I would upload 2-4 pieces of content a day. I would reply to as many comments and DMs as I can so that I can connect with my nation (followers). No trending sounds, no consistent hashtag strategy. It's all about quantity AND value!!

Helpful video! Do you have any tips for slow-mo shots? Sometimes I don't know yet that I want a shot in slow-mo. Currently I'm filming everything at a higher frame rate by default just in case I want something slower (I find that if I film in 25-30fps the video gets super choppy when I slow it) but I'm wondering if you have any other tips?

Thanks for the tips! I have been posting Reels like crazy and some work and others don't. Some have gotten a lot of views but haven't had much success having those views translating to followers. I have had more luck with Tik tok.

How do you get the music from instagram reels into premier or whatever software your using to edit with video then back to instagram ?
Question for you: I have 3 ice stores. I.e. local businesses. If a do a lot of reels I may get more followers but they may be in other countries and not able to reach the stores. Due to the decreasing organic reach I would like followes that I do reach organically to be close. So should I conclude that excessive use of reels is bad for me?
My town has nothing that looks like most of the great footage I see on insta. I gotta find something that looks good and locals will love to see.

How do you feel about this latest trend of editing real quick photo or video reels. I’m constantly seeing the ones that include the tutorial. I mean I have one on my other IG account but seems like everyone is into that fast paced photo editing for Reels (depending on song choice) now and it’s losing its originality it seems. hello I have a question. When I edit a reel I will use the music in the video to edit on beat and when I upload it, it uploads the reel with my original sound and not the one of the actual owner or from the instagram account where I got it from. So my question is how do I post the reel without me being the original sound?
Is it best to upload reels to your feed as opposed to not? I've noticed reels that go on my feed perform a lot better view wise than when i upload and don't include them in my feed
I noticed it is better.. You can always remove them from the grid after the interactions slow down.

What kind of app you to edit the pics and videos
Which camera and lens you prefer for shooting viral reels?
Was kind of hoping you could explain how you edit your videos in a pro software and bring it back to the app in hopes of matching to the sounds inside instagram. My issue is I shoot from a pro camera and just bring the clips to my phone. I have come to find that the lack of color grading, or editing in a pro software has my content not looking the best; Equally an issue is the sounds in the app are not necessarily available anywhere to be sourced or exported.
I imagine you just edit abunch of clips in the pro software without sound or captions -- or maybe captions are used -- and export, then go to the reel function and just piece them in that way? Any clarity would be greatly appreciated.
I screen record the clip save the audio on Instagram and import the screen recording into my software
Step 1: tease them with what's to come
Step 2: Don't make it bad, make it good instead (brilliant)
Step 3: deliver on step 1 but make it too fast to actually comprehend so they have to watch it again to try to understand what is going on.

I need to grow my ig too, and in general I need to find a consistent way to get more clients (im at the beggining of my career so im literally nobody to criticise you here, to be clear im asking only to understand) back on instagram reels, they are the right thing to do now that can drives a lot of new people into our accounts like you said, so good reels = more followers...but... here's the question, do you get clients off them? / do you get more clients now that you have more followers? again im just tryig to understand if the reels people first: are potential clients. Second: if more followers = more clients. Thanks, hope this can be interesting to other people too.
