Well, sure, that works. But can you COOK the bacon with overheating epoxy? I want to see steaming epoxy and splattering bacon grease, even if it takes using the blow torch on it.

I'm not really sure about stuff dipped in resin because it's not exactly a vacuum; some oxygen can be trapped inside with the food.
xeokym By right one of the key problem that can cause the food to deteriorate is anaerobic bacteria and UV light. One way to prevent it, is sterile it with radiation. I am not sure how it is done but I did see flower and insects samples enchase in plastic/resin

Nice! For a better polishing result, use car chrome polish after you reach 3000 grit. Much less work and a perfect finish.
