Thank you for what you’re doing with Sage. She’s a beautiful horse and I appreciate the care that you are giving her. It’s lovely to see your children riding her.❤️❤️❤️🙌🏻
Awe I'm so glad that she was rescued from the sales. It could be her owner passed away and people didn't want to keep an older horse. Too many animals end up in bad places when their loving owners pass away. Just a thought. She does seem so gentle. Hopefully somebody will adopt her for a small person to either ride or just to let her retire.
Sage is such a beautiful girl. She just looks like she really wants to take care of the kiddies and have them under her wing, so to speak. It’s beautiful to watch. I hope and pray that she feels so very much better soon and finds her forever home, enjoying every moment of the rest of her life. She certainly deserves too. Actually, have you thought of keeping her Michelle, so that your gorgeous kiddies can learn to ride, and have the confidence to do so on a gorgeous, quiet soul, exactly like Sage? Just a thought. Unless of course she has to much pain. Sending love and prayers♥️🇦🇺♥️
Hey, My Sheepadoodle Harper is B&W. Perhaps they could be long lost sisters 😂😂😂😂. Sage sure looks a very gentle horse. Paints are beautiful animals. My nephew raced his mare, Red, in barrels and poles. Super gentle horse. It's funny that you kind of made it sound like Sage is old. Didn't you say she is only 20? Hardly old and I'm sure she has a lot of good years still in her. I bet she would love to have the kids ride her. Probably misses it. Hope you find her a really loving home ❤❤❤
lol! I don’t feel like 20 is old but sometimes horse people do… We find GREAT value in the seniors around here! They are kid sitters! 😆 Sage is an absolute sweetheart and we will find her a great home! 🫶🏼
@ronallen6578 You know, people and I guess horses, age at different rates. While either from her papers on her, or her teeth. you place her age at 20, she doesn't look it! I am sure you are correct, about her needing a lighter weight rider, she could have 8 to 10 more good years, IMHO. She could aldo be a lovely paddock or field horse 🐎 able to still do as she wants, even once retired, if she isn't going to be a therapy horse, for a child or children.
Not yet… access to one in our area is very difficult. Unfortunately, I can not take every horse to a chiropractor 1.5-2 hrs away (one way). I know Sage could definitely benefit from it!
@@8ERescueRanch my equine osteopath vet is 5hrs away. I recruit appointments for her so she came make a trip to my area. My local rescue sends out notices when our best ever equine dentist makes a trip also. It's a great opportunity to build community.
We do much of the same stuff here! I have a small network of friends who I trust with their judgement on good equine chiropractors, dentists, and energy work. Unfortunately, the barn we used is under new ownership and those services are on hold.
She is a soulful mare. She deserves a well-cared for retirement. I wish her a good home. she is beautiful.
If I could have a horse Sage is what I would need to ride and she is beautiful too ❤
God love her..such a beauty
Sage seemed much more comfortable with the kids riding her. A sweet, gentle girl!
I think so too!

@@BetsyAmos I did not give her age at 20. That came from the video. Sorry
Do you use chiropractic care for any of the horses?

She seems to be very stiff in her hind quarters. Do you know if she had an accident, in the last few yrs?
No, we do not know her history. She was almost starved to death 2 months ago. I’m certain she’s been used as a broodmare for a long time.
