You kept saying that YG should create different sounds for BABYMONSTER then you name MONSTERS, LIKE THAT, and DREAM which is 3 of the 7 songs from the mini-album. Everyone wants to keep saying that YG should come up with different styles when two songs that the girls have done is really in that "YG DNA" style of music similar to BLACKPINK. STUCK IN THE MIDDLE is not like a typical slow song for their girl groups and CHRISTMAS WITHOUT YOU of course was a cover done in the BABYMONSTER style. Their title track will most likely be in that "girl crush" YG DNA style but I just think that it is really weird that people just want to complain about the negative when there is a lot of positive.
BLACKPINK had to wait TWO YEARS before they had their first mini-album and we already had BABYMONSTER's first mini-album less than 5 months of debut. They are also going to release a full album around September/October this year when BLACKPINK released a full album October 2020 which is FOUR YEARS after their debut. YG so far have been making announcements and keeping us informed about the activities of their groups, especially BABYMONSTER. Did BLACKPINK or 2NE1 get this much promotion? You also have to imagine that the girls want to do this kind of music since that is the reason that they debuted under YG. If you saw the introduction videos then you should know the reason why most of them came to Yg to become trainees. If they didn't like it then they could have left the trainee program years ago instead of for some of them being there for almost 5 years.
You were also saying that the ending of SHEESH is similar to SHUT DOWN which is somewhat true since they both use a 6/8 measure but you also fail to recognize that the ending was to match the vibe of the beginning of the song. It feels like the hate comes more from the influence around you or you looked to other people to validate reason to hate on the song. SHEESH was much better than BATTER UP and the whole thing was that SHEESH was even better live when they performed on INKIGAYO with a live band. Their performance carried the song and that is the talent of the girls. The negativity seems to be more about YG than the music as well. And the issue with what you were saying about BABYMONSTER being stuck with the BLACKPINK clone is wrong. What do you think happened when BLACKPINK debuted? They were called the clones of 2NE1 for a while but you look at BLACKPINK now and you can't say that they don't have their own identity. The music style didn't change all too much from when they debuted to now.
I would say that I would rather see BABYMONSTER dong a R&B Hip Hop style since it will show off their vocals more but do I make over 400 million USD annually? No, so they must be dong something right. Like I mentioned before, this mini-album was diverse in the sound so I think that us getting angry about them creating a few song in the YG DNA sound isn't that bad. People are there trying to find all of the similarities to BLACKPINK songs and then saying YG should find a different sound. I hope that you also realized that ASA also helped in some of the production in BATTER UP which everyone claims to be that YG sound. If you don't like the song then that is fine. You are lingering on SHEESH and hating it when they have other songs that you might find more to your liking. And if you don't then that is fine too since 5th generation of K-pop is really cooking and there are at least 20 other groups that you could be enjoying.
I don't think that you understand that there is also studies that show 3 minute songs have the highest chance to be big hits. There are a few exceptions to that rule and it also depends on which decade but for the most part there are more songs that are around that 3 minute mark that have gone on to become iconic songs. I pretty watched this whole video and you only had distain from the beginning without any objectivity. You were pretty negative about the whole thing instead of at least comparing it to whatever positives that YG has done, especially with these girls. How much promotion did 2NE1 or BLACKPINK get when they were active? Think about how quickly they are coming out with music for BABYMONSTER. July we get their next pre-release for the album that is coming out in September/October. BLACKPINK had how many comebacks in a year?

first of all my complaining, it's not with them, I like them, I don't like how the company is handling them. then the ones I have exposed are ideas on how I would like to see them. stupidly, the 3 minute per song stuff, I'm not a dick I know companies are based on what's best, but mass thinking isn't always good, you're definitely right that songs are made a certain way because they , studies etc. but throughout the video, as I said, I'll give you my opinion and my ideas. I personally wish they would make longer songs, I don't like the sound they have now, tell me how am I hating them by saying this?

    • @JamesKaneshiroDesignSamurai
      @JamesKaneshiroDesignSamurai หลายเดือนก่อน +6

@@lulab It was mostly because it seemed that you were not listening with objectivity. You said that the mass thinking isn't a good thing which I agree with because it takes away your ability of critical thinking where you make a judgement for your self based on facts presented. ASA is probably the most likely to create her own song first since she does produce on top of writing. The one thing that YG is worried about right now is that everyone complained that BLACKPINK wasn't able to have many comebacks and now YG is trying to fix that. Thiunk about this, how many songs do you think that BLACKPINK put out in their first ttwo years? It was 9 original songs. BABYMONSTER already has 5 and they are coming out with a full album in September/October which means that BABYMONSTER will probably have 9 original songs under one year. Does that mean that we will get a lot of different sounds? Maybe considering that 4 of the 6 original tracks are not the usual YG sound.
I am saying that maybe SHEESH is more like a typical YG sound using old hip hop style instrumentation but there is 4 other tracks that don['t. Like I also said if I ran a company that made over 400 Million USD last yearthen they must be doing something right and creating songs that is popular on a global scale. Do I like all YOUNG POSSE or XG songs? No there are some that I would skip but I think that those groups are amazing. I think that is the same for BABMYMONSTER.
I also look at it this way, if they were to write their own music then maybe we get or or two songs every couple of years from BABYMONSTER and in the K-pop industry unless you're legendary like BLACKPINK and have the fan base that they have I don't know if YG would like to take that risk. They are mixing in the formula that they know works but have been giving BABYMONSTER different types of music that we haven't seen with 2NE1 or BLACKPINK. And when they do that people want to just complain about BATTER UP and SHEESH. If you paid attention to how the original SHEESH sounded then you would say that it was a better direction. That KID BOP ending of the song from the original was, well, something. They also made the right decision on changing the second verse. SHHESH being repeated in the verse when it is repeated so many times in the chorus was not a great idea.. RAMI sang the entire bridge before AHYEON's belt but in the final version, RORA sang the first part of it.
I am not saying that you should like the song or not agree with YG's choices on how the song is produced. Personally I think that RORA should have more lines. But if you paid attention to the documentary, you would have also noticed that the girls also liked the direction that the song went. There was only negative things that you kept saying without consideration of the process that they were going through. CHOICE would say something and then you stop the video to say something negative. They were trying to present their point of view but even things that would be considered a positive you immediately had a negative comment to say about it. YG typically doesn't put out that much music, especially for their girl groups but in 5 months we got 5 songs. That is already a big change in YG's philosophy where it is quality over quantity., Don't get me wrong here I think the song could have been better but do we really want them to go the BLACKPINK EDM route which they haven't done and is more like the BLACKPINK sound.
I think that you could have watch this videoto understand the process or at least appreciate the process that they were going through instead of being really negative about the whole thing.

@@JamesKaneshiroDesignSamuraiman, just don't waste your time on someone who doesn't want to understand the much in-depth thought process on musicality craftmanship, especially when these people just don't want to let go their ego, even worse they oftenly mistaking the subjectivity of a song and they would argue that their opinions matter the most against anything that has real meaningful 'objective' values
You could deliver a whole lot of complete detailed-essays behind a company's patterned-decision, even with some extended well-explained perspectives and again, fortunately they would rather think that if a song doesn't meet their own imaginary standard then they'd think that the company is a complete trash
Like I've had tons of discussion with these so called music elitist in many platforms, and it's always the same thing, they can't just relax their ass off, like often times even for being open minded is couldn't be more than the least choice that comes to their mind when arguing with others, and they'll resort to those kind of 'cliffhanger' discussion, not even a peaceful goodbye, and guess what, they'll always comes with an overly repetitive shallow conclusion :
'I wish they don't work YGE anymore, hopefully they'll end their contract with YGE, why even these artists dare to bet their lives under YGE's umbrella, yeah YGE shouldn't taking any benefit to their artists, etc'
Like they'd rather shit against any YGE's business decision, doesn't matter for whatever the form is, like they don't care either if it's the positives or the negatives, because in their minds, their opinions is heavenly absolute and the company's ideas just keep doin worse things

Actually they have many producers like BLACKPINK has their own producer which is Teddy while BABYMONSTER was with producer Choice 37 they will always have the same vibe they will not changed it tho cause it's their like trademark other KPOP agencies have their own too so YG has always these kind of music since 1st gen era also they are known hip-hop agency in Korea it's YG DNA like he said if you want to listen good ballads fans will know it's SM agency known for something like that while JYP agency have cutesy songs & best dancers even HYBE home of BTS those agencies have different focuses

The problem they have with YG is that the sound doesn't evolve, is not like they have to lose their identity, but they are stuck in something that is old

@@lulab your right but they have songs too that is different from their old sound mostly it's on their B-side tracks well it's not only YG doing this but all the KPOP agencies stick to their own old sound maybe that's how they all works cause other agencies if they make same sounds like this it doesn't work on them or not gaining enough but when if YG it's skyrocketing that's their advantage among the big agencies BP holds mostly the first most viewed followed by BTS of HYBE Corp.
