I think ASA is one of the mentor of Chiquita's rapping lesson before they debuted cause their are many clips that ASA and Chiquita always together in and out the YG building sometimes Ruka is with them also....
I can see asa becoming a successful producer, and for what im getting Asa is probably one of the mentor for chiquita rapping lesson cuz asa and chiquita before is always together in YGE building coming in and out. And in this kind of documentary usually YG like to put clips that are spoilers to something it might be not really obvious or its obvious they like to do that things.
That was so awesome to see Choice and his team behind the scenes.
Teddy was big, but YG gave him BlackLabel and now its good to see that YG is left in good hands.
The BM girls seem to love Choice and feel confortable with the team just like BP did with Teddy.
That chemestry is what made BP as big as they are and now with BM being confortable with Choice's team, they can also be outstanding.
There's no surprises at all why this company seems to be fluent in rapping as YG himself is one of the pioneers in South Korea and choice was once a rapper in the US before he came to join the company.
YG was the main rapper and main dancer for the group, Seo Taiji and Boys, he was in.
Which is why he has always been critical of the rapping and dancing in all of the YG groups.

He is the former CEO at the sme time EXECUTIVE PRODUCER. He step down being CEO in 2018 or 2019 but retain being the Executive Producer. He is the Founder of YG. He is hands on since before. As the Exec Prod all needs to pass through him before getting released. If it needs revision or not. He's doing this to all his artists.

For me, it is Ruka. Whenever she comes in the flow explodes. Her vocal tone is alluring, sexy and it booms. Power. Asa has a machine gun rap but a much softer tone. The lead in by Ruka always is awesome. Ruka's visuals are insanely stunning. She is mind blowing how attractive those killer cat eyes stares at you.
If chiquita continueng to work with rap I think she might be very good rapper than ruka his beautifull tone and flow is amazing and exited coz how talented chiquita are

Yeah, YG hasn't given Baby Monster an Official Leader position yet. So we only know the Oldest and Maknae of the group. Yes, we know who are the rap line, the vocal line, and the dance line, but no official main and lead positions yet. The positions are mainly predicted by Fans.

Hwang Bo-Kyung is the CEO of YG Entertainment. SHE has been since 2019.
Yang HyunSuk (YG) is the co founder, .....he stepped down as CEO in early 2019.
He is since late 2020 the Chief Producer.Head of Production and Talent
Team Choice37 is a production crew of 3, headed by Choice.
There are other Production Crews/Teams.
Actually, Hwang Bo-Kyung is no longer the CEO (since March of this year). Yang Hyun-Suk's younger brother, Yang Min-suk has been reinstated as the sole CEO. In 2019, pursuant to several scandals (including the matters related to Seungri and the Burning Sun and the B.I. situation), Hwang Bo-Kyung took over for a while as sole CEO, since both YHS and YMS stepped down from their official positions. (YHS was "officially" the chief producer or something like that. YMS was the CEO before 2019, not YHS. In 2022, YMS came back and was a Co-CEO with Hwang. Now he's back to being the sole CEO. Hwang has some executive position still but she is no longer the CEO.
In any case, have no doubt, YHS (YG) is still the top boss at YG Entertainment and has never stopped being the top boss. Whoever is put in as CEO is handpicked by YHS and is essentially the employee of YHS, whether his younger brother and/or long-term employee Hwang. YG has maintained the largest block of shares throughout the years and the BoD members are mainly his friends. The CEOs are selected by YHS to take care of a lot of the management details and paperwork that YHS does not want to be bothered with. But you can be sure that they need his approval for anything important.

In my opinion, this is a documentary that shows behind the scenes in YG production and not just for Baby Monster. For this video, they showed the process of recording and producing at YG, maybe for the next video they will show the process of making choreography, the process of making music videos, or the design process for albums and others. So the next video will most likely be with a different artist since this video was uploaded on YG Entertainment's channel, not on Baby Monster's channel like the recording behind-the-scenes footage of Treasure that was uploaded on their personal channel. But let's see... YG is very unpredictable, there may not be a next episode 🤭

Yang Hyunsuk is not a CEO anymore, he is now a Chairman (founder) & Excutive Producer (he help on producing & pick trainee he wants to make an artist)of YGent.
I think he v'been step down from ceo for long time ago. idk who the ceo now, but its use to be his brother (Yang Minsuk) then a woman (forget her name) & i heard resently they change again to idk who😅
Yang HyunSuk is the founder of YGE and Executive Producer of YGE. He stepped down as CEO in 1998, when his brother, Yang MinSuk became CEO of YGE.
Due to the scandals of 2019...

As a result of the 2024-03 YG shareholders meeting, effective 2024-04-01, Yang MinSuk became the CEO of YGE and Hwang BoKyung became the Vice-President and CAO of YGE.
@@joenull5945 Yang Min-suk and Hwang also worked a "co-CEOs" beginning in 2022. That changed when YMS was reinstated as sole CEO as you mentioned. Of course Yang Hyun Suk never stopped being the top boss. He just chose to have himself and his brother step out of the spotlight while the various scandals and legal issues were being resolved. Whoever is in the CEO chair will only be there because YHS wants him or her there. Currently, YHS's official title is "Chief Executive Producer". On the official site, his name and position is listed above the CEO position.

YHS is not currently a CEO of YG Entertainment, he is an Exec.producer.
He hasn't been the CEO for a long, long time. But he's never stopped being the top boss. The CEO works for him. For several years prior to 2019, YG's younger brother, Yang Min-suk was the CEO, having been selected by YG to take care of the headache management and paperwork details so that YG could focus more on the production side. In 2019, due to the image problems and scandals that erupted, both YG and YMS officially resigned from their positions and stepped out of the spotlight. But YG never stopped actually running the company. In 2019 he selected Hwang Bo-Kyung, a long-term employee and assistant to be the official CEO. In 2022, YMS returned to an official position as "co-CEO" with Hwang. In March of this year, YMS once again became the sole CEO and Hwang moved to another executive position. YG has been the top boss non-stop the entire time. He basically prefers to focus on the production and strategy side of things. But whoever is CEO certainly has to get YG's approval for any major decisions affecting the company.
In Batter Up, the production team was Big Tone, not Choice37. Big Tone is the guy that we saw in the Introduction and final evaluations training Asa and Ruka to rap. Choice37 clearly needed Asa in the team because they do not have a rapper. Asa has named credits for Lyrics and song composition in Batter Up. Interesting that they did not use Hyun Suk Choi who also has named credits for lyrics and song composition for both Batter Up and Sheesh. He is a rapper of YG boy group Treasure.
That is because Asa is more familiar with the members, and she also has the capability to teach them, especially the pronunciation. Choice37 has been working with them since their trainee era, so he knows each member personally.
BigTone was the members rap trainer since they joined YGE.

On May 9th in Korea, Babymonster departed for Japan and this morning (May 9th in Los Angeles) multiple videos dropped on TH-cam of Babymonster arriving at Gimpo Airport in Korea. I was pleasantly surprised to see how many fans and paparazzi were there to video them and snap photos. My guess was 100-150 total. Fans were shouting out their names to get them to look their way. It was so gratifying to see they way the girls and their security staff handled the chaos of all those people jockeying to get closer to snap the perfect pic. They were all smiles and made eye contact and waved to fans. A few of the girls received gifts. I felt proud.

YG wasn't listening to the fans when he chose the 7. LAST EVALUATION was recorded in April/May 2022 and based on the announcement video it was most likely recorded in June 2022. The main reason is because the ages of the girls on the cards were incorrect for when the announcement video was posted. In October 2022 the girls were spotted on the second day of the BORN PINK concert in Seoul with 7 members. Members of BABYMONSTER was then seen at the TREASURE concert in November 2022 with them congratuling the members for getting ready to debut. Which is the reason that the LAST EVALUATION wasn't a survival show. At least not in the sense that we normally see survival shows with eliminations but a reality that the members could be cut from the line-up depending on what YG wanted for the group. I think that it was more of a financial decision that they were thinking only 5 members would debut. 7 members is a big difference for the support that they could provide considering travel, food, continuous training and education for each member. The recent closing of YGX makes me think that YGE might be shifting resources to cover for promotions for BABYMONSTER.
I do think that they might be at least paying attention to what is being said about BABYMONSTER and making decisions based off of that.
I don't know if you noticed that Asa was the one that started the second verse when they were showing it and then Ruka came in then Ahyeon instead of the Ruka/Ahyeon back and forth then Asa. It seemed like what they originally intended was that it would be a three way switch off for the rap.
The second verse wouldn't be just Asa. He meant that Asa wrote and produced the rap part (with the Chiquita verse). They changed for the trio with Ahyeon Ruka and Asa

No, he doesn't produce songs for all of them, but most of them. And YG is NOT a CEO, he's an executive producer so he makes the final call for the production system.
I’ve seen reactors saying they’ve gotten an email from yg (company). Asking them to react to a song. I believe it was a Blackpink song.
Edit: someone pointed out it was posted on the yg channel, so other episodes might be songs from other groups.

i hate yhs the guy but to be fair he does become hands on, although i don't know how often and if it's the same for everyone. when mino (not sure if you're familiar with him but he's a member of winner and like winner, he writes and produces all his own songs) was preparing for his first solo album, he used to stay with him in the studio until 4am.
At a minimum, it is well known that no music can be released by any YG artist without his final approval. How hands on he gets depends on what he chooses as his highest priority. In the past that's often been one of the reasons cited for some artists being in the "dungeon". They can't release music without his approval, and if he's focusing on other projects...then those artists who don't get priority focus from him can't release anything. In Lee Hi's case, YHS was very interested in her debut album (2013) and spent a lot of time supervising all the details. After that, his focus shifted entirely to launching the new boy groups (Winner and Ikon) and Lee Hi was hardly seen or heard from for three years. Finally, the Epik High guys helped her by producing her next album ("Seoulite"), which was a masterpiece and, reportedly, YHS had almost zero involvement. But they still had to get his final approval for its release. IIRC, according to Tablo, they intentionally avoided mentioning that her song "Breathe" was written by Shinee's Jong Hyun (an SM artist). Babymonster deserves the highest priority. I would also say that it's thanks to Blackpink that they're getting it. No girl group at YG before has ever gotten the level of pre-debut promotion and debut promotion priority that BM is now getting. Let's hope it continues.
