sana completo ang gamit at gamot yung local health center kasi sa prosesong yan...na mgapapdaan daaan muna sa tamang network (brgy- municipal - provincial - hospital I, II. III) matagal na mga titiis ang patient sa sakit bago malunasan. And nakalimutan itanong ng host- paano yung location ng mga hospital I, II and III. Yung mga nasa malalayong lugar , days ang kailangan para makapunta pa sa manila or NCR...Ang ideal ay dapat mahusay at completo na ang provincial hospitals and kung puede yun ding pinakababa...Naku! ..talagang (LONG )"work in progress" ito. Sana nga may happy ending hehehe...pero buti nasimulan na at batas na. Thanks po sa magandang discussion!

Nicole is correct. Most of our primary care actually happens in the clinics of surgeons like me. When we look at out patient departments in hospitals, the primary care delivered there is not readily acknowledged and happens because patients don’t know where to get primary care

Problem with most local health center is they transfer patients even if they just have seen them. Commonly we receive patients in the hospital because the doctors in the center are attending seminar/s weekly.

It is indeed a work in progress. Because of the multiple stakeholders that should be properly be involve& educated. But i think DOH can catalyze its actual implementation by bringing together the HOSPITAL physician and RURAL HEALTH physician in each area to create & agreed on their unique working two-way referral systems. RHU physician will not know what happened to his/her referred px and same with hospital physician. Law should mandate that primary care physician should work as OPD physician not a multitasker RHU physician who needs to attend alot of less effective never ending seminars/meetings. And yes DOH-CHD seminars& other govt seminars should be standardize across country to make it efficient &effective. It is one of the root cause why RHU physicians cant simply implement the primary care services in their area. Im praying to the Almighty that He will guide all the stakeholders to unite in achieving the UHC. A gift that we can give to the next generation if we cant perfect it yet during our time.

Thank you for the informative video regarding the UHC, however, I am just wondering if there is a case where a person faces life and death situation is there still a need for a referral from the primary health care system or immediately disregard the referral system and proceed in the tertiary care system? (for example: accidents)

Deretso ER yan. Separate clause yan I think. Dito sa Europe, pag slight emergency lang, call your doctor by phone, tapos he will decide. But kung life and death na talaga, ER na kami.

I think diretso ER po, di na need ata dumaan sa mga referral ng primary healthcare since it is a life and death situation

Pag-life and death na po, deritso na po yan sa hospital kasi segundo ang hinahabol para mabuhay ang pasynte. Hnd na po yan saklaw ng primary care health system.

I feel like the host could've done a better job of not butting in too much and allowing the guest to explain himself. I feel like the host would've been better as a second guest, representing private/specialists physicians
