    No apologies necessary for the length of the video Martin, it's good to watch you work on these little castings. The transformation of this one, from what it was when you started on it, is fantastic. Brilliant detailing and a great use of masking tape. We learn something everyday. Looking forward to your next video. All the very best. Peter.

  • @jesterger
    @jesterger ปีที่แล้ว

    You did that one up real nice, Martin. The details really helped it. A while back, there was a lime green, Bond Bug at a car dealershio.. One day this Garden Snail says to the dealer, "I'd like to buy that Bond Bug but it isn't flashy enough for my taste." "Could you paint a big S for snail, on both sides?" The dealer wants to make the deal, so he agrees but he says to the garden cnail " Come back tomorrow and it will ne ready for you." The snail pays for the Bond Bug and leaves. The next day the Garden Snail is so excited, he can hardly contain himself. He makes his way to the dealership and the car is waiting for him. It's flashy, lime green paint has been all painted up and the Paint Shop has painted big, bold, letter esses on the doors. He is elated, he thanks the dearer, gets in and drives off. When he gets to the main street, the Garden Snail has to stop at the traffic lights. When the lights turn green, he stomps on the gas pedal and he zooms down the road at break neck speed. It's as fast as the Garden Snail has ever gone. Everyone in town turned their heads and in unison said, "Hey, look at that S car go!".

    The Bond Buggy.
    Can I just mention an old Reme vehicle mechanic Sgt MD who was restoring one circa 1990.
    In army time in the LAD obviously!
    Sadly killed on active service in the Gulf.
    I don’t know if he finished the restoration but he would have loved this video.

    Hi Martin nice job on this funny little car I wouldn't like to be boxed in by semi trailers in this thing. They did one of these on Wheeler Dealers with Edd China. I didn't realise there were so many of them around but there are. I had a nasty shock going to a duo gig the other day. My car has a dash cam and I was on a freeway towing an enclosed trailer full of band gear. I remember seeing a 4WD ute pass me with a open trailer that had a very dodgy looking blue 44 gallon drum badly secured in the back. About 5 mins latter suddenly the drum was right in the middle of the road in front of me😲 no ute or trailer in sight. I don't know how I did it but I managed to get around it without hitting it or anybody else. I watched the dash cam footage back and it was definitely the same blue drum that was on that trailer. It looks like it had come off the trailer hit the side rail on my side of the road and started to slowly roll across the road in front of me. Luckily there was not another car directly behind me or in the other lane and after I past it I saw in my rear mirror it kept rolling across two lanes and onto the other shoulder. So that was my bit of excitement for the weekend. catch you on the next one mate great video.👍🏻
