Good presentation but in my opinion before you installed the new heater you should then compare first the old(defective) heater over the new heater using the multimeter enable for us to check if there is a different between the two.

EXACTLY!, infinite resistance will show what the problem was for sure and the new part should not show infinite resistance

Thanks my freezer kept freezing up where the drain hole is causing it to drip water into my refrigerator. But watching you replace the heater coil and heat strip for the drain hole I notice I did not have a heat strip that runs into the drain hole so I used copper wire around the heater coil and ran it to the drain hole hopefully it will pervent the freezing up.

All do not have this drain heat strip application. If the heater gets hot enough to evaporate all the ice on the evaporator coils it should drain down and through the drain hole without this heat strip. You may have something clogging the drain like old food particles are you may need to unplug and remove all ice from the drain by putting timer in defrost mode and then seeing if it clears all ice from the drain. If not snake and hair dryer the ice out. Mine is doing the same and I think my heater is not getting hot enough to melt all the ice because it is not getting red hot like they say it is suppose to and lately the fridge is not cooling like it should. The stat checked good and seems the timer is good leaving likely culprit the heater.. Think this weak heater allows ice to build up around the drain as the drain is farther away from the heater which surrounds the evaporator coils. A red hot heater should give off enough heat to evaporate ice around the drain. It is suppose to get so hot that it will catch the fridge on fire if not for the defrost thermostat that opens circuit cutting power to it when it gets too hot.

We don't have a video for this exact model, but here are the instructions for replacing that part: Replacing The Radiant Heater 1. Disconnect the unit from the power source. 2. Remove the ice maker if equipped and shelves as needed. 3. Remove the evaporator cover by removing the four(4) corner mounting screws. 4. Tilt the top of the evaporator cover forward and disconnect the wire harness connector. 5. Remove the evaporator cover and fan motor assembly. It is very important that this part be reinstalled in the same manner as it was originally. 6. Disconnect the radiant heater wire leads. Using long nose pliers, remove the defrost heater retainer clips. (one on the right side of the heater and one on the left side). 7. Remove the heater and the shield.(Note, the placement and orientation of the shield, it goes between the heater and the Evaporator Cover.) 8. Install the replacement heater in the reverse order of removal. NOTE: When installing the replacement heater, do not touch the glass. Salt from finger tips could cause damage."
