My father passed away in July of 2019 from Myxoid Liposarcoma that originated in his leg and ended up spreading into his spine and bones. He was my best friend and the best father, he even allowed the hospital to use his tissue and medical information for studying this type of cancer in hopes to improve treatment and maybe even a cure one day. Love you dad, miss you so much.
I was diagnosed with myxoid liposarcoma in my right pelvic region and thigh. I had the same surgery you had. It hasn't reoccurred, but I still don't have feeling in my right thigh. You are an amazing young woman, keep going strong survivor, and I will too.
How are u doing now? I have a lump being biopsied next week, it’s in my right grown/inner thigh area and I get pain in the back of my thigh. I’m really worried.
I had myxoid lyposarcoma in my right leg when I was 12. I went under surgery when I was 13 and it reoccurred when I was 16. So then again I had to undergo a surgery when I was 16 and had to cut out my major artery and replace it with vein. I used to be very athletic but I’m not anymore because the second surgery made my leg very weak. I find this story really inspiring! And I pray for everyone who’s going through this phase.
I’ve just been diagnosed with myxoid liposarcoma in my left thigh and it’s been really frightening journey so far. I’m waiting to get a surgery date, but I just wanted to thank you for sharing your journey and this video. It gave me a lot of hope and positivity that I needed to hear.
Thank you for sharing your experience! I was just diagnosed with grade 2 Myxofibrosarcoma 3 days ago. I never heard of this cancer before. I have learned so much about sarcoma from google and youtube within last 3 days.
way to go, Mom! And you both are so much better off for what you did together. I wish you both well, because you went through it together. Laini, you're a cancer conquerer! I went through it with three all at once, and I had two Basal Cell and a Squamous Cell Carcinoma. The Basal Cell carcinomas were removed with no other treatment needed, but the Squamous Cell Carcinoma was already itchy and bloody and watery, so I asked them to not even wait after they removed it to perform radiation which I knew would cause some side effects, but I didn't want even one cell to remain after they operated on my nose. Thank God the insurance covered both, and I did suffer through eleven months of side effects from the radiation. I used alternative therapy with heavy doses of Vitamin C which helped even more, and that was back in 1988. I'm still cancer free, and I pray that I'll remain free of it for the remainder of my life. God's Will be done.
My son’s best friend has this type. They told us it had already spread. He was only 19. He is now 20 and was given 3-4 months. His ended up being very aggressive. He has had multiple types of chemo and radiation. We need more research on this type.
Diagnosed with Liposarcoma (Myxoid round cell) last year after surgery to remove what was originally thought to be an epididymis cyst. I'm doing fine , remaining optimistic and upbeat enjoying life. No obvious signs of metastasis and in good hands with Royal Marsden.
