We’re a couple of years behind in viewing these videos. But I feel so sorry for Apollo being in the fifth wheel. Not only do you have to worry about the temps but inside a trailer is like an earthquake constantly. Imagine the fear of that poor dog. That’s so sad.

4 MPG is going to happen more often than you like. Lol. Just think what it would have been if you'd kept a full tank of water! Water is super heavy. You might dump the majority of it often when you are going to be traveling distances and know you'll be to a hook up that night. Love you all! Mom
We haven't taken off on our adventure yet, but we have been living in ours all winter! We have been parked in the in laws using their bathroom when it was below -20 winter.LOL So exciting!!
wish I had known about rv life when my kids little...unreal the hassles we went through to find motel rooms with 3 kids and a black lab...a tent in the camp grounds would have been better by a long shot, don't even need the rv...I didn't know most had power, water, showers...some even have laundries :-) But since kids I've been doing RV life a long time...wow I want to write like ten pages of advice here...but you guys will figure it out just fine, have fun!

We are thinking in about 2 years selling the house and most of our stuff and traveling for a year before settling back down somewhere. We live in Florida so there is a lot to see that we haven't. I can't wait!
This is exciting. I totally get that bridge fear when driving anything tall. I like that metal bar you sometimes see hanging from a chain before a bridge or awning. If you bang into that. You got to turn around.
Ok one during the cold months traveling I think it fine but during the hot summer month you will have an issue with him traveling in there to hot. Plus get a good driving gps too

LOng story short, my daughter was born and raised in NJ. Her husband is from there as well. He works for the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Department, and she is a Nurse working in Salem. I'm not really sure that having Apollo riding in the back is legal, we have always be told that no living being is allow in the back while towing, oh well, what do I know!!! I appreciate seeing the dog crate. Also curious where you put his bed when the trailer is all set up (I watched the tour and didn't see it mentioned). My dog is going to be going with us when we get to our RV travels and the spaces are just so cramped, that I can't imagine where we'd toss down his bed. :-/
ReREAD the RV'rs do's and don't list...ALWAYS arrive in parks in daylight, a) you can see your space, and b) you aren't disturbing neighbors.. you will figure it out !
You are leaving Apollo in the trailer while you drive? If you are anywhere where the temps are above 70 - 75, you need to be very careful with that, as those trailers are like giant hot boxes in the heat. Just remember that! Looks like you have snow right now anyway hahah
+Gone to the Snow Dogs I hate that he has to be in there, but we tried in the pick up and he panics. He's actually a lot calmer in the trailer! I did think of that and we have fans for him if it is warm outside! But it will definitely be a quick drive to test out how they work! -Ash
He will probably be fine, and feel safer in his kennel, since it's familiar. You can get a temp monitor as well, that sends warnings to your phone. So that if it does start to get to hot, you will know. The perks of RV travel right! hehehe

The snow was on the mountain pass only. As soon as we got to lower elevation it was back up in the 50's.
